I had an issue with a leak in my bathroom that needed attention. I am a first-time homeowner and went on Agni to found a plumber when Hernandez Plumbing reached out to me. They were nice, came over promptly and gave me a synopsis of my leak problem. The quote they gave me was a little high compared to what the internet suggested, but because It was an urgent matter and they were available, I decided to go with them. Bad choice. After they started working on the leak, thats when they decided to tell me that there was something else and it would be another 10 grand... and then there was something else... and another 10 grand. The lady in the office hounded me for payment before the job was even completed, even after I had already put down a large deposit. I paid the rest through their financing, and then they disappeared. Turns out, leak was not fully fixed and I had to get ANOTHER plumber to come and finish the work. I ended up with over $20k in debt from Hernandez Plumbing alone, for a problem they did not fix. Not to mention, the itemized invoice they provided me was incredibly vague, a big red flag for scamming money out of people. The plumber that I hired after them said that the total job should not have cost me more than $6K. So why was I charged over $20K?I consider this an abuse of unknowledgeable young homeowners. No one should be a financial victim just because they don't know about plumbing.

Please see reply below in regards to customers complaint:

There were a few things that are left from the customer complaint,  wanted to be clear. This is an older home that had multiple issues. The sewer pipe had been leaking sewage in the crawlspace for several months Also the crawlspace was extremely confined , hazardous with exposed electrical which most companies would not know how to tackle but we were willing to help you nonetheless and its probably one of the hardest jobs in Company history just due to the circumstances and on how complicated it was. In the scope of work we had to sanitize / clean up The crawlspace just to get people inside to replace all of your sanitary pipes from cast-iron to PVC and your cold and hot water lines. This is probably one of the biggest projects you can have in someones home. Customer decided to use the financing option we offer which many of our customers like for larger jobs. Once we completed all of this work we followed up and were paid. Weve been in business for 50+ years, and have never scammed anyone of money.

Unfortunately, Once the work was completed the customer had another new issue a month later from your shower pan leaking. We gave the customer a quote for replacing the  shower pan and old damaged subflooring to avoid a collapse. Our price also included plans and permits which we are by Fl code and recommended due to how severe the structure is but the customer  decided not to get that replaced with us at that  time.
