    purchased new 2023 blue wave makaira, dealer refuses to perform warranty work was promised upon purchase and part of the warranty contract. customer service has never returned a phone call or email. I had to pay for a repair that absolutely should have been covered under my warranty.

    On March 02, 2022, I purchased a Misty Harbor Lago 20 R from your business establishment. At the time of the purchase, your salesman, Ryan M, promised me two fenders, and said he would "try" to include the universal drop-down change room. I knew he was lying about the drop-down change room being included by the way he was talking. Your business delivered me a boat that was not prepared for delivery. After arguing with the service manager, Slade M, as to whether the issues were warranty, I called Ryan M. Ryan agreed that the issues were not warranty, and Harborside Marina should pick up the boat, properly prepare it for delivery, and deliver the boat back to me.

    After the pontoon boat was properly prepared for delivery, it was delivered to me without the aforementioned fenders that were promised. I agreed to purchase the drop-down change room, but your Service Manager said he sold the last one the day before. Ryan told me in a phone conversation that the owner of the business would deliver the two fenders to me and the drop-down change station, which I will pay for.

    I have not received the fenders nor the drop-down change station. To be honest. I no longer have any faith in your business. I have reached out to Misty Harbor to try and purchase the drop-down change station online. I will purchase a couple of fenders at Walmart.

    I will find another Yamaha Certified Dealer to perform the scheduled maintenance on the motor.

    We are sorry you felt the need to contact the BBB over these issues. In the times that we are in, when we run out of a product sometimes things have taken drastically longer to resupply. It was mentioned that as soon as the drop down curtains came in that we would call you and coordinate delivery at that time. This isn't an item that was coming in next day and would probably take several weeks to be delivered and the customer was made aware of that. We try to work with every customer to make their experience as pleasant as possible. Unfortunately when we take a lower number than asking price, we are not able to give away items as well. Ryan stated he would see what he could do but it probably would require that the customer purchase the drop down curtain and the fenders would be used but free if that was ok. The customer was also at the service center telling the service center manager that a forward bimini was promised but that is also completely inaccurate as you have to purchase a 22' to have the forward bimini and everyone at the dealership knows this as its one of our main lines we are a dealer for. As far as the delivery of the vessel, everything was rigged and the boat was load tested before delivery. When we sea trialed the boat, everything worked. After the sea trial, the customer went to leave with the boat and couldn't get it started. The tech that delivered the boat discovered that one of the cables to the battery just needed to be tighten a little more because it loosened on the 2 hr sea trial. He had a multi tool and tightened the nut down. The customer called a few days later stating the anchor light wasn't working and that our tech stripped the nut on the battery. We told the customer that its covered by warranty and at no time was the customer told that he would have to pay out of pocket. Even at the time of the sale, it was told that if a warranty issue arises, manufacturers warranty doesnt cover transportation when we asked if he would want to purchase a trailer or just pay transportation. We still didn't charge the customer to pick up or drop off the boat even though the ramp he uses is 45 minutes away from our dealership. We picked the boat up the second a shop trailer freed up. We fixed the issue and redelivered the boat. The battery nut had a small bur on it but wasn't stripped however we replaced that as well. The anchor light wiring (which is very thin) was crimped by the factory during the build and was in a place that isn't normally visible during a rig, it worked at predelivery and at the sea trial but wore through as the boat was used. We then told the customer that we still didn't receive the drop down curtains in yet but the second we got them in we would call. The item is still back ordered so no we haven't called yet but you would think a simple phone call for status would take place instead of a BBB complaint. We've handled everything in a very timely manor. Literally from the sea trial to the redelivery after the warranty work was less than a week and he used the boat for 2 days before we picked it back up, he stated he wasn't using the boat at night anyways. Yes we admitted that we forgot to put the used fenders on the boat for delivery but at that time, the customer told us he will just get them when the drop down curtain comes in. Had we known the customer would lose faith in our business over them, they would of been delivered right away. Side note, Ryan was going to personally drive the fenders to their house when they didn't make it on delivery but the customer told him to wait until the drop down curtain came in.
