I brought my rabbit in on 8/21/23. I was charged $1,177.83 for 12 hours. She was given no antibiotics in the hospital but they sent me home to start them. I wrongfully thought medical staff would want to start medication asap when an animal is clearly ill. They did x rays but did not test for any type of bacteria or viruses at all even after I expressed concern twice of specific illnesses. Sent home without any idea what is wrong. Couldn't tell me if it's life threatening. My rabbits temp was 105.8 upon arrival and 105.3 3 hours later. She was never given anything for fever the whole 12 hour stay and sent home with a fever still. When I got home her temp was 104.8 on my thermometer (mine was was reading 103 at home and the vet 20 mins away said 105 8) I was assured they "wouldn't send her home with a fever." Obviously that's not true. I had to apply for Care Credit to pay the almost 1200 dollars and left knowing absolutely nothing more than when I came in. She was given no medication in their care except to sedate her for the xrays. Which she honestly didn't need because her fever is so high she's barely moving already. She was put in an "oxygen box" and covered with blankets. After 2 hours I saw the "oxygen box" she was in had no food or water in it. I told them she uses a bowl & ask if they would give her a bowl of water. i went home and was told they would to do X-rays and call me. When I picked my rabbit up I ask why no antibiotics or anything for her fever were given during her stay and the Dr. Told me they "don't do that here unless it's IV" and told me I need to "find another vet in the future". I had already decided I wouldn't bring my rabbit back (if she lives) due to The total incompetence and outrageous cost. I feel like they wasted 12 critical hours my pet desperately needed medication. My rabbit died about 24 hours after leaving this vet. Original 'treatment plan' listed "misc. Charges $200-$400" price gouging,
