Beware Unethical Scam Fraud .Rented a car in Jan 2025 Used my own Insurance Purchased their Liability coverage with my Credit Card was told my Liability Insurance policy did not cover enough but my insurance would cover everything else. The car was hit damaged bumper while parked at hotel. My insurance paid for the damages but Colusa charged additional hidden fees on top damages that was not covered by my insurance. Colusa was paid by my insurance company and Charged total bill for repairs and hidden charges to my Credit Card that was only Authorized to pay for additional Liability insurance. They were paid over 6,000 dollars for damages that were approximately $2500.I am still fighting for resolution.Review fromJulio G

1 starExperience with COLUSA RENT A CAR:I want to warn anyone considering renting from COLUSA RENT A CAR. I rented a car on July 17th for two days, and upon returning it, I handed over the keys without any inspection since I had to rush to the airport. Hours later, I received a notification of a $4,700 charge on my credit card for an alleged scratch on the back of the car that I never caused. The amount charged is an outrageous sum for minimal damage, and this charge is simply theft. Since then, I have tried to resolve the matter through every possible means, but this company seems skilled at evading any responsibility. I have reported the case to every relevant authority and am now in the process of taking legal action. If you are considering renting a vehicle, I strongly recommend you stay away from COLUSA RENT A CAR. They not only scammed me but also show a total lack of ethics. I will not allow them to keep my money unjustly and will continue to expose their fraudulent practices publicly.Review fromKaren H

1 starI rented a vehicle through a third-party, Priceline. At the car rental counter I was informed that because Im over 65 that there was a senior fee. There was a rental amount negotiated through Priceline, but more money was requested with various fees that I never heard of upon arrival. As of today my $500 deposit still has not been returned. I have documentation with an approved, check in and inspection with no discrepancies. I have contacted Priceline and will not be doing business with them anymore either,as they should be aware of the3rd party companies that they do business with. Customers ***** are not disclosed about the length of time for holding your deposit nor the additional fees until you are at the counter. The car rental location is in a remote site from the airport so once youre there, your options to get another car rental are extremely limited, So there are no viable alternatives to cancel, in addition, fees are disclosed after you return the vehicle. I would like my deposit released, and pay only the amount that was negotiated through Priceline, not additional amounts specified after the fact. Honestly, this is very very concerning. Im not sure what other recourses can be made to protect consumers but these type of undisclosed practices cannot continue in this country. There must be coordinated plan to help protect innocent consumers.Review fromDebra D

1 starIf I could do zero star I would. My son had a terrible experience with this company that I never even heard of before he used them. He rented a car in ***** in July and as others have said had to pay that ridiculous amount for insurance and a deposit. The car he got was filthy so he had to go back in and they gave him another car. That car broke down while he was out and about, no one would answer the phone when he was stranded and called and he was on the phone for over an hour with no one answering. By the time he got the car towed back to them using his own roadside assistance it was after hours and they were closed so he had to do an after hours return. With no car he had to take Ubers for the rest of his trip and this company would not even reimburse for that or respond to his emails. He disputed with his credit company who reversed the charges and Colusa had the nerve to send them a copy of the agreement stating that the services were provided so they should be paid. Your car broke down and he was not able to use it or get another car from you that is NOT service provided. Everyone please do not use this company they are a scam and pure trash. I will do reviews about them everywhere I can and make sure I get the word out to not use tnem. They need to be shut down.Review fromRachel T

1 starI wouldn't even give then 1 star. This company is a total ripoff. I booked on Priceline and when I got there they claim to not have a mid size car then charged ***** per day to up grade. However the car given was a small compact car. I bought insurance through priceline but of course the claimed it wasn't the insurance needed so they charged another fee. Then they charged $350 for security deposit. When you sign their agreement it's just a blank signature pad. NO CONTRACT SHOWN. So I asked what I was signing. She stated the hold for deposit which will be released as soon as I returned the car. I asked them to do a walk through before leaving but was told cameras take bumper to bumper pictures as I drive off. Didn't sound right so I took my own pictures for my security. When I returned the car I again requested a walk around to insure they wouldn't pin any damages on me. I was told my security deposit would be released and I will receive a email. Well when the email came, it was stamped that security deposits will be refund in 30 days. We are now at over 70 days and I'm still waiting on my refunded deposit. I have emails of the conversation about their attempt to make the deposit but no deposit has been made. No need to call because you'll wait on hold over a hour then they hang up. I've reached out to priceline to investigate after reading the reviews. It appears to be a pattern. I'm looking into hiring a attorney for class action lawsuit.Review fromRene P

1 starWorst car rental!!My original quote was $25, when I can came to pickup I needed to take more insurance coverage plus I needed to take a toll tag ended up paying $300, I had a lot issues with the car so I told them I'm returning it was like 3 hours later and they didn't want to refund me back the money... **************** is very bad and so unprofessional... This was after 4 hours waiting for the train plus shuttle from the airport...Won't recommend this experience for no-oneReview fromMary

1 starNo transparency of prices. I arrived to get my rental booked through economy. At pick up, 15$ a day additional charged for tolls. I said I had my own Sunpass. They said doesnt matter and if not paid I would be charged an additional fine of 25$ a day EVEN with my own Sunpass/Epass. Then my full coverage insurance was not good encourage I dont have ****** insurance. I do for liability. My 100$ expected total is now 500$. They said all this is in the terms I signed when booking. If it is in the terms when booking why it have it transparent when agreeing to price? These are hidden fees and unlawful. My next intended step is for failure to disclose transparent information. DO NOT BOOK with COLUSA in my opinion the overwriter for AddCar. DONOT book with ADDCAR, in my opinion. They will upcharge without transparently notifying in the final rental agreement purchased online. Ive screenshotted every page Ive agreed to in the final bookings- it was not overtly disclosed.Review fromDavid M

1 starRead these reviews before booking. This company tries to scam people who are in a vulnerable position. Extra insurance, not accepting credit cards , etc. Avoid.
