      We went on this cruise because it had stops that we wanted to go see. This cruise had 6 stops and two of the stops were deleted from the itinerary. Total for this cruise was $7700 plus we paid $999 for insurance. We paid $6350 for the cruise and a bunch of our discount points. The lower Mississippi cruise had 6 stops. Terrene Landing, Vicksburg, Natchez, St Francisville, Baton Rouge, Whitecastle. They took off the Vicksburg stop and the Baton Rouge stop. If they would have told us we would have canceled the trip. We also paid for a premium trip in St Francisville and they also canceled that premium trip. We did get refunded for that trip. The boat broke and we were stuck in Whitecastle for two days. We are requesting a $3000 refund and all they offered was a $500 voucher for another cruise. With an experience like that why would I want to go on another cruise with them? They keep telling us that they will not refund anything. Why we asked because we paid for a whole cruise and only got a half a cruise. I emailed them again and waiting for their reply. I will review again with their answer.

      I made reservations for their Mississippi River cruise my ** inmate could not go we cancelled our trip on 6/12/2023 I had already paid for the trip but they have not returned my money I have called many times and spoke to a supervisor *********************** she keeps telling me she has told accounting to expedite and urgent refund as of 12/14/2023 I have received nothing

      I have traveled with American Queen Voyages twice, once in ************************************ place, and again in 2023. Even with them being short staffed in 2022 I had an excellent experience. The first trip was on the Countess, and second on the Dutchess. I have a trip booked on the Countess in August, ****. The cabins were clean, the food was very good, entertainment was something we looked forward to each night, and the hop on hop off tours were a good way to see the sights.

      We booked a *********** cruise with American Queen Voyages last December 2022. We put a deposit down at the same time. The American Queen canceled our trip in April of this Year. They gave us some options to book another cruise with them. We declined their offer and requested a refund. American Queen stated that the refund would arrive within 30 to 60 days of the cancelation. It is the end of August and we have not received our money. We are disappointed with their response and will not be a customer with them in the future.*********************

      Airfare reimbursement for trip delayed due to weather on trip from ******** to ****** between 10/11/22 through 10/21/22 which arrived in port on 10/22/22 has not been received. All documentation has been transmitted to American Queen for the refund, however as of today 7/27/23 the refund has not been received. It's virtually impossible to get through to a person that is in a position the give me an answer with regard to my status.

      I have been attending horse races at number of tracks around the county for over 20 years. I always arrive qat the track one hour before first post and usually stay and leave after the last race. We paid almost $2000.00 per person to attend 14 races and due to American Queen Voyages **s dishonesty lack of integrity and the desire to rip off its customers, we were at the track for 8 races (This was planned by **). In part ** RIPPED OFF its paying customer. But the ******************************************* executrices laughed at us all the way to the bank.FACTS The tickets for the ** derby were $1995.00 person or shy of $4000.00 for a couple. The actual face value of the tickets was $600.00. The day before the race outing, the ** Host stood up in front of the group attending the pre-Derby meeting, told the Derby Guests, ** went to a TICKET SCALPER to purchase the tickets. That is shady at least for a major cruise company.Then, at the same meeting we were told our seats were close to the finish line REALLY! We sat 2 ******* poles back from the finish line (a ******* is 660 ft we were more than 1/4th mile from the finish line) that statement was a LIE. We could not even see the horses cross the finish line. Our seats were at the Clubhouse tur.The ** presenter told the Derby guests the walk to the stadium from the bus would be about mile but what they did not tell ** the walk from our seats after the race around the parking lot would be over a mile. Several guests had mobility issues and it was a terrible ordeal for them. After the first bus (there were 5 busses) was loaded it began to pour down rain so the majority of the guest got soaked before they loaded the busses.

      In October 2022 4 of us booked a cruise from Boston to St. John Canada, due to weather our cruise was a day late docking. We were stranded in Canada nearly 4 days. I submitted a claim in November 2022 for expenses ( Hotel,meals and taxis) It took nearly 7 months to be re-imbursed. I had to submit receipts twice. Upon contacting this company asking for updates on the claim a couple of times, I was told someone would contact me that afternoon or the next day, It never happened. I finally received my check in May 2023. we have traveled with American Queen twice before and everything was great, this new company does not have their act together. We have now disguarded our plans for a trip on the Upper Mississippi. ***** ******

      For exactly a year now I've been trying to remove the name of my deceased partner from American Queen Voyages mail advertisements. I have called and written several times, with no action taken. No wonder the company doesn't have a BBB rating.

      Booked a cruise for Oct 2023 for 3 couples. At the time the room for the cruise was $4019 a person. Looking at the current website the cost of the room is now $2719 which is a reduction of $1700. I call about either getting a reduction or moving us to a larger room and was told the only that could happen was to cancel the original cruise, pay a $250 cancelation fee and rebook. The new booking would have to be paid at booking time and a refunds would be issued for original booking (which could take 90 day to receive). It is hard to believe that a company can treat their customers

      My wife and I scheduled a late November, 2022 ***********-to-******* cruise with American Queen Voyages (AQV) This was our first cruise with AQV and, based on our experience with them, it will be our last!In late September, 2022, AQV cancelled our cruise, supposedly because of supply chain issues. We were told it would take up to 90 days for $2,870 refund to be received. We questioned the lengthy delay in their issuing refunds, but weren't provided with any reason for it.In early December, we called AQV to check on the status of our refund. The cruise line's staff member told us there had been a delay in issuing refunds, but that their staff had been told all refunds would be sent out by the end of December. With no refund in hand by early January of this year, we called AQV again and were told there had been delays in the issuance of refunds due to internal issues in the accounting ****** that we were in the queue to receive our refund, that our refund should go out that same week and that AQV's new CFO had made the issuance of refunds a priority. We informed the staff member that, having now waited 3 1/2 months for our refund, we would wait until early the next week and, if no refund was received, we would begin filing complaints with the appropriate federal and state government agencies. With all the delays and excuses we had received up to that point from AQV regarding our refund, we weren't surprised when our refund didn't arrive the next week. We then began filing complaints against this company with, among others, the *************************** and the state attorney generals offices in ******* and ************, where we live.Our whole experience with AQV has been beyond disappointing. It's beyond belief that a company which is continuing to promote itself as a provider of quality cruises, can treat its customers so shabbily and fail to return that don't belong to them.We're still waiting for our refund 4 1/2 months after our cruise's cancellation!
