1 starI had a very disappointing experience with Credit Guard. They promised to help me negotiate with my creditors to lower my interest rates and set up manageable payment plans. However, they failed to follow through on their promises.Despite paying their fees, they did not properly contact my creditors or make any substantial agreements. I ended up having to handle most of the negotiations myself.Their lack of diligence and professionalism not only wasted my time and money but also left me in a worse financial situation. I would not recommend Credit Guard to anyone looking for reliable debt management services.Review fromJesseka M

The process for signing up for the program was easy and the representative was very helpful. They provided proof of how the payments were being divided amongst my credit card accounts. My only complaint is that it was not made clear to me upon signing up for the program that the credit accounts would be closed and drop my credit score significantly.CreditGUARD of America, Inc.

Although we advise clients of creditor policy regarding possible closure of accounts, CreditGUARD of America, Inc., does not report to the credit bureaus and the possible effect a DMP may have on a client's credit report, we will be reaching out to you directly to address your concerns.Review fromEbony T

They told me all my accounts would show current on my credit and Id be debt free and my credits would stop contacting me. I paid $200 and could only find one card that was paid and they got $15. So I removed my money from my account. Their $200 payment got denied so the next day they took $40 out of my account. Now my credit is worse than before, and the worst part is I referred my sister to them and she said none of her payments got paid and now her credit is a mess now too. If I would have done it on my own I would have been current on my accounts. Now I need to move and my credit is so low I cant get approved for a place to live and I have a kid! Stay away from these guys!CreditGUARD of America, Inc.

5 starsI just had my first conversation with Credit Guard, and I was impressed with their professionalism and patience, I am 72 years old, and it takes me awhile to process information. After listening to the presentation of the program, I was given time to process what I had heard before I made my decision. I checked the BBB and those persons who referred me to Credit Guard. After my research, I am satisfied with my decision to proceed with Credit Guard, I will work with them and keep them informed of any questions or concerns I may have.Review fromJennifer R

5 starsIm putting a 5 star review because Ive read the one star reviews here and it seems primarily tailored to circumstances outside of the companys control so I dont think they should affect the companys rating like they are. The people Ive interacted with through CreditGuard have been friendly, explained the process to me patiently without being condescending (which I know can be hard to do especially for someone who knows very little about the subject of debt consolidation). I was informed every step of the way, but I think its important to note that people should do more research before they pursue debt consolidation/relief, since there are a lot of misconceptions about it. Misinformation seems to be the issue I see with some of the comments here. CreditGuard has been incredibly helpful for me and Im grateful I got the chance to work with people who are so patient and knowledgeable.Review fromMichael J

******* ***** 11/23/2023 I joined CreditGUARD of America in February of 2023. CGA contacted 10 of my creditors (credit cards only) 6 of the credit cards companies are not a problem. Payments are sent in per creditors policies and guidelines. But, 4 of the creditors ******, ******* (*******) Indigo (*******) Milestone (*******) are destroying my credit report. I dropped 100 points from fair to poor. On Experien and Chase Journey. Even though I have been paying monthly on time since February of 2023 ****** day's I'm 180 days past due, ******* says I'm 150 days past due, Indigo 30 days past due and Milestone 30 days past due according to Experian, Transunion and Equifax. Could legal action be an option? I signed up with Credit Guard to help my credit "Not Destroy it"CreditGUARD of America, Inc.

We have reviewed this client's records and this information is not accurate. (9) out of the client's (10) included creditors are being reported as current as of today's date. The 10th creditor, Aspire, requested a $5.00 per month increase for their monthly payment to enroll the account into the Debt Management Program (June 2023). The client declined to approve this increase request. At that time, he was advised and acknowledged the account would not be enrolled, receives no benefits and would continue to fall past due without standard payment. We feel this review is unfair and misleading.Review fromBernice R S
