On July 24, 2024 I contacted moving solutions online to get an estimate of my move to *****. I got a call from one of the employees(***************************). We discussed the estimated amount and since this was my first company I contacted asked to give me sometime to shop around to get a better price. He informed me that they are having a deal/discount that day and if I dont put a down payment($100) that day I will lose out on the deal. I didnt want to at first as he asked for my bank information like checking number. He eventually said he will take ***** and I sent him the $100. He informed me on that phone call that I have until August 4th to cancel and I can get my deposit back. I contacted him the next day to cancel and get my deposit back but no answer and he has refused since to get me my money back.

Moving Solutions Company gave me an estimate of $2585 to move 40 boxes, 1 living room and 1 bedroom furniture from ********** ** to *******. Although my shipment was within the agreed # of items, the driver on the day of the move told me that he will charge an additional $1500 because it was not the volume that the moving company had told me. The contract (attached) also mentioned that all taxes, tolls, *********** surcharges, wrapping blankets were included in the initial estimates BUT the driver charged me additionally for all these items and told me that he will not pickup the stuff and leave unless i accepted the terms immediately. He told me that he was only a contractor driver and i needed to contact the moving company. I called the customer services but they did not help at all. I was promised that i would be given a 2-3 days notice prior to receipt BUT was not given even a 24 hours notice and threatened that if i don't accept the shipment, it would be taken to ******* and i will incur storage charges. This company is totally blackmails its customers and take advantage of the critical time (i.e. threatening to not pick the the shipment on the day of the move)kindly help me resolve the issue and take whatever action is needed with this company

I contracted with this company on Fri, Jul 5, and approved an ACH withdrawal from my checking account in the amount of $4,062.20 as a deposit for moving services in Sept. The sales *** stated that the deposit was risk free, since the contract could be canceled and the deposit refunded if requested by ***, Jul 9th. I called and emailed the sales *** on Sun, Jul 7 to cancel the service, and also forwarded the email to the customer service *** and dispatch *** so that all parties that I had communication with were informed of the cancelation. I followed up with a phone call to customer service on Mon, Jul 8. I made several attempts to get through to the customer service ***, *******, but finally did so. She requested that I talk to my sales ***, *********************, before proceeding further. *** tried to salvage the business, but I was resolute. ******* followed up with me late that day to confirm the cancelation and sent me an email that night (attached) to confirm I was entitled to a full refund and the process/ timeline. She told me to call her on Mon, July 15, to follow up on the status of the refund. I have called EVERY weekday since the 15th (often more than once), and experienced long hold times, busy signals and disconnects. When I did reach a ***, I was asked for my information and told they would follow up with Accounting and get back to me. I was told by the service ***s that I'd be receiving an email from Accounting with a link to INITIATE the refund (which would take another week!). They seemed surprised that I hadn't received that email yet. This process ***eated every day this week, with no communication from the company at all and no email from Accounting. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide me.Best,*************************

On 6/24/34 after the moving company M&R movers packed my furniture they billed me ADDITIONAL $7330, totally $11,980. Ive made several calls and emails to moving solutions requesting for the conversation with myself and *** be reviewed and I was intentionally hung up on by managers and other workers. No one from moving solutions has returned my call *** promised the same quote included packing and unpacking all my furniture but M&R movers said it didnt. I am not able to pay over $10,000 for the services. I suffer from depression and this situation has heightened my anxiety and spiral me further into depression with the financial burden. My childrens social security card and birth certificate was accidentally packed away and I am unable to sign them up for school because I cant afford to get the furniture out bc I cant afford it. PLEASE HELP. Moving solutions and other 3rd party companies has done the same thing to many others. I need moving situations to stick to their word per my conversation with ***. I called *** when I noticed the contract didnt list packing and unpacking as promised and *** stated it standard but assured me everything we discuss would be covered by the $3670 quote, I trusted ***. I was moving because my job shut down so I had to move to find employment and was going through **** with my 3 children. I need moving solutions to pay the $7330 + tax additional bill for my move so I can pay $3670 the quoted price. Moving solutions unethically misled me as a consumer.

Classic Bait and Switch. I worked with ************************* form Moving Solutions (MS) to move my belongings form ************ to ***** OR. My home is only 1950 square feet and I went through each and every room one by one with ************** and gave detailed description of ALL my furniture and belongings in the home, a shed along with the garage to include up to 80 boxes medium and large size to be professionally disassembled and loaded on to the 28 ft trailer/truck ******* was to use for transport. The total bid for all of my belongings was $7,250.00. On Saturday April 13th, Two trailers arrived at my home located at ******************************************* ******************. Withing 5 minutes I received a VERY disturbing and perplexing phone call from a girl representing Moving Solutions, whom I never spoke with indicating that they quote I have was inaccurate and they were now going to charge me over double the amount! How is that even possible when ******* and I reviewed all of my belongings to be moved very accurately? How within 5 minutes can they ***** that I had more than twice the amount of belongings? I obviously was distraught and upset that I was being taken advantage of when I was in a desperate situation and had to vacate my residence by the next Monday per contract and had no option to hire another moving company. This is a violation of a person's situation. I then pushed back and argued the fact that MS provided and approved the belongings and provided a quote. Then I spoke with another MS representative, "***" that extremely abrasive and rude to me the "customer" after an unpleasant exchange, I was forced, under ******* to write a second check for $9500,00 in addition to the deposit of $2655.00 before they would load my belongings. *** said "sure ************ I will honor the $7250.00 quote but just leave the rest of your belongings here, how do you like that?" Needless to say, I knew that I was being scammed and had no option but to pay. MS held my belongings hostage 4-23

On August 7, 2023 14:01:06 EDT I called this company and got a quote. The representative told me I had 48 hours to cancel with no penalty. I was pressured to make a deposit immediately by their employee *****, he made me fee very rushed to make a deposit to (lock in a amount) completely coerced. I called back 2hrs later to cancel and they told me it's too late. They were very nasty on the phone and had the attitude of too bad, oh well. They said that in small print somewhere of some electronic form I signed verbally over the phone that you can't cancel any reservations that are within 2 weeks of the move. These horrible jokers didn't say that to me on the phone. There was absolutely no warning, and I was led to believe that I could cancel if within 48hours if I found a better deal. I am still sick about it. I explained that I am a single mother that had to flee due to domestic violence and they would not give me back my $1,260. Not even a partial refund. It's so disgusting. I would like a total or partial refund this is so wrong. I am a single mother with an abusive ex husband that I am still trying to finalize a divorce with. I cant afford this and they just took my money.

Movers never did the moving and were notified within one hour of cancellation. They are fraudulent trying to keep money they never provided services. I would additionally ask for this fraudulent movers to be added to consumers awareness of a scammer company

In June of 2023, I made arrangements to have Interstate Moving (or one of their subsidiaries, in this case, **** *** ****** **** of **************************************************************.) move some of my household goods from ******, **, to *************. I was given an estimate of the moving costs ($4,591.41) and paid a $1,411.54 deposit prior to the July 18th move. Just prior to the move, an Interstate Moving representative named ***, collected another $608.27 as a "buffer" deposit.I also paid the driver $1,285.80 on pickup, the morning of July 18th, and another $1,285.80 on delivery in *************, that evening. Both these payments were in cash; the deposits were paid by electronic check. The move estimate was based on a larger inventory (more items) than were actually moved--and, as a result, less space than anticipated was actually used in the **** truck.Despite the pre-negotiated and binding estimate received from Interstate, the **** driver then attempted to collect more than the binding estimated amount--both at the pickup of my household goods and at the delivery point--claiming these added charges were due to bulky items and having to wait at the destination for my arrival. I refused to pay more than the estimated remaining cash balance, based on Interstate figures, and the driver eventually relented.Since July 18, I have made several calls and emails to Interstate to learn the status of a refund of my additional "buffer" space deposit, $608.27 and adjustments due to fewer items than anticipated being transported. No resolution of this issue has been reached and Interstate CSRs I have spoken with or emailed have not provided helpful or conclusive information.

This is the first and only response I have had from the Better Business Bureau.  Hardly a resolution of the issue or a response

to the complaint.  I feel like I acted in good faith--in conducting business with the mover(s) and in keeping them informed of my

scheduled pickup and drop off dates and times, given some extraordinary circumstances.  The original estimate, which I thought

was binding, was $1,000 less than the final cost to me.  Beyond poor business practices on the part of the moving companies, I

believe there are ethical issues involved and that I was misled by the original sales agent who contracted with me for the move.

I also acted in good faith by filing a complaint with the BBB--which has come to nothing.  What recourse do I now have as a

consumer who has been taken advantage of by a moving company?  Is there not an

agency that can represent my interests as a consumer in pursuing this?
