      In August 2023, I contacted US International rail to inquire about a household goods move for my elderly mother, ***********************. The move was from Centre, AI to *********. I spoke to *******, who is a representative for the company. My mother, ***********************, was present during the conversation via three-way calling. After extensively providing the company with a list of everything that needed to be moved, **** was quoted a cost of $6,044.00 for the entire move.-Initial payment made - $2,737.45 was made on 8 Aug 23 My Mom traveled from ******** to ******* to release her property which was picked up on 14 Aug 23. Upon pickup, we informed that additional charges were going to be incurred. I contacted customer service; they provided no help.- Additional payment of $5,653.89.- Upon delivery, *********************** was charged an additional $4,225.00. The only way the company would release my mother's property was if she paid in cash or by money order.I made contact with the company about the huge discrepancy in the price quoted verses what was made to pay throughout this nightmare of a move. All of my efforts have remained fruitless.

      On August 25, 2023 I paid $1,667.80 US Interstate & Rail Long Distance and Moving Company for a service that was never provided. I was told by a Company Manager that the money would be refunded. Even though I have called the company repeatedly I have never been sent a refund. I need the Better Business Bureaus help to get my money back.US Interstate & Rail Long Distance and Moving Company advertises that they are accredited by the Better Business Bureau. That is why I contacted this company. This Moving Company is running a scam! They quoted me a price of $1,667.80 and then told me the only way that I could pay them was by direct access to my bank account. They wouldn't allow me to pay by any other means. The wanted my money before they would actually schedule my move pick-up.When they finally arrived (in my case two days after the scheduled arrival), the first thing they did was come into my house, take pictures and then go back outside to their truck. After thirty minutes the driver came to the door and said it would cost me another $9,000.00 to move my items.After going back and forth from the driver and the moving companys **************** Representative, they reduced the price to an additional $6,900.00. I told them I would not pay this and they left. I was told by their **************** Manager that my initial payment of $1,667.80 would be returned to me. That was six months ago. Yesterday, I called repeatedly until I was able to speak to a Manager. The Manager said that someone would call with a tracking number and hung up. No one has ever contacted me. The Better Business Bureau should force this company out of business for false advertising and large number of continual complaints!

      Entered contract on 11/17/2023 for moving services. The original delivery date was scheduled for 11/21/23. The company stated that there would be a delay in services due to the holiday, and the new delivery date would be 11/27. On 11/27 there was no delivery. On 11/28 company sent an email describing the delivery process. See the "Delivery Process" document. The final deliver-by date is scheduled to be 1/8/2024. To date, no delivery of my items has been made. I was given a number to the "warehouse" and was told that I needed to contact them. To date, I have not received any response from the ************ phone number. I have submitted texts and called. To date, the company has not made arrangements with me to deliver the items. Tomorrow, 1/8 is my official delivery date. Nothing has been organized for the delivery of my items. I have filed a police report with the ******* ******************

      We contracted with this Company for an interstate move from OH to CA in October 2023. When we verbally spoke to the agents, we were told that our stuff would arrive within a maximum of 10 days. Two and half months later (pick up date of 10/18), we still haven't received our items. What is even more concerning is the lack of communication and information regarding the expected delivery date. The Company charged us $6K for the interstate move (50% of what was paid upfront) and have been so unprofessional in all their interactions. Despite my innumerable attempts to contact the customer service department, I have not received clear information on when I can expect my belongings to be delivered. They also mentioned that there is no way to contact the dispatch team and have rudely told me several times that I am not the only customer being serviced and that our stuff will arrive when it arrives. This lack of transparency is unacceptable and has left me feeling frustrated and anxious. The ***** of ************** assigns a delivery spread for interstate moves for which the last date was 12/5 and there is still no update. They offloaded our stuff in a transit facility in Vegas approx. 6 weeks ago and fail to tell me what the hold up is. As expected, all of our essential items including furniture, kids items and kitchen appliances are on the truck. I have spent so much money buying the items that are already on the truck as I had a planned international trip of which I made them aware and they promised to deliver before I leave the country. This was a complete waste of money on top of the amount they charged me to deliver. This delay has caused considerable inconvenience, impacting my ability to settle into my new residence and resume normal activities. It is extremely difficult to even be able to talk to their customer service reps as the system is designed to just put a call back number and agents have repetitively told me that they are trying to deliver soon.

      Had an original quote in July 2023 of $3600 then $5600 to move from ** to MI with an accurate inventory of 860 cu/ft large items and an approximate ***** box count was told by *************************** that veterans in white gloves would bring a semi to move our household items what we got on Oct 31st the day before we had to be out of the house was 2 guys in a box truck telling us we were greatly under quoted. He basically held us up from moving out of a house we no longer owned until he called the estimate department who basically charged us $8900 and we really had no choice at this point but to sign the agreement under pressure.

      I originally setup a long distance move with Interstate and Rail on 7//31/23 and paid an initial down payment of approximately $1600 and then was contacted a week before the move and paid another approximately $1600 after adding items for the move. We were told the move would be a full pack and move and would take place over a two day window of October 30th and 31st. The company notes the provider door to door expert help and support but when we called about a timeframe for the movers to arrive on 10/31 the phone rep has to transfer us to a supervisor to tell us the movers were coming between 10am to noon. The movers showed up unprepared for a full pack and move. The mover then attempted to add another $4000 in moving costs and charged more for a long carry than the estimate noted. The driver became argumentative and threatening. The movers left to go get supplies for the packing at which point we asked them not to return. My partner and I then had to rent a u-haul and pack before our lease was up at midnight. We then had the additional cost of gas for a U-Haul we were not budgeting for. In total I spent $3118.55. I sent an email outlining my concern to the company on 11/6 and requested a response in 10 days but have received no response.

      The date was Nov 1. The estimated was was $1999. I paid a deposit of $ 794 & when the movers came, I was to pay $567. They were to move 9 pieces of furniture, all itemized & 30 med boxes, which they told me the amount would be less if I had less boxes, which I did. I had the furniture ready & 20 boxes. The movers arrived & to me that I could only have 5 pieces of furniture & 2 boxes plus had to pay $1225 more with at least a $1000 more when they arrived on Nov 8. It's now Nov 15 & they are no where to be seen. I've called & was told it could be anywhere from 3 -21 days more plus more money.

      I was reached out by representative United interstate, railways moving company back in July 2023. The representative that outreach me was very accommodating and reassuring and provided me with information that was false information. The information he gave me went against what was provided in the Bill of Rights. Taking the representative at his word as he falsely conveyed information to me that this company was never going to produce I signed. United interstate railways picked up my stuff on July 21 and I opted in for one month of storage for free per representative. My first eligible delivery date per their bill of rights excluding weekends and holidays was October 3. Its November 11, 2023. Ive continuously called and they informed me that my delivery is behind. Ill be compensated five dollars a day excluding weekends and holidays, they refuse to send me a picture of my belongings to appease my mind that my stuff is still OK. I have sentimental items that not money cannot buy. Ive had to compensate buying items that I have times 10 in storage just to make it. Ive slept on on air mattress for almost the last 4 months because my bed set that they loaded has not been delivered. Ive had to buy essentials that I had loaded in hopes of saving cost using this company . Ive been without my belongings for so long every time I call, they tell me theyll give me an update and they will reach out to their dispatch. Its almost been four months since they picked up my belongings I would like them to be delivered safe and sound like they assured me they would do and stop all this anxiety, frustration and overwhelming burden they placed on me wondering if my belongings are ever going to arive.

      I will attach the demand letter I sent to US Interstate and Rail. It has all the details. Per the agreement, the Binding Estimate, I was to call ** Interstate and Rail if the estimate needed to be revised. The day of the move on October 7, 2023, I called US Interstate and Rail twice as is documented below. They did not return my calls. The company that moved the items put on the Bill of Gading that I would only owe $535.80. They then required me to pay them $1786.20 to deliver my items. I am asking US Interstate and Rail to pay me the $752.40 extra that I was overcharged over the binding estimate signed on August 28,2023.
