Dear Honest Reviews (*************************)
Please provide us with information on how we can assist you. Your complaint is an allegation against a person and you are really not giving any specifications to what really you are seeking from the company.
Based on our records, a compensation was approved for this client, however he did not sign the compensation agreement until 15 minutes after submitting this statement to the BBB.
We are more than happy to provide the supporting documents regarding this matter. In the meantime, we ask the BBB to close complaint, as its not a complaint but a vindictive statement against a person and not the actual complaint for the company. As it can be seen in this complaint, the client did not even provide their name.
Thanks you for the prompt handling of this matter.

In February, 2023, we hired ************** and Packing to store and move our possessions. In April, 2023, MMG Moving, LLC (MMG) was subcontracted to deliver our belongings from ******* to ****** once we notified them that we were in possession of our new home. However, MMG kept stalling the delivery of all our possessions; it became obvious that they were lying to us. They told us that the truck had broken down. Sensing that something was amiss, we contacted the *** to get involved. The next day, MMG finally agreed to deliver our possessions. A few days later and now a month late, Boulevard Moving delivered over 200 boxes of crushed, torn, and sopping wet at our doorstep. The delivery men said that the roof of the trailer was partially ripped open and that there was up to a foot of water in parts of the trailer. We had to unpack everything immediately to access the damage and photograph it. Some things that had up to an inch of mold on them. Everything had to be immediately washed. The breakage and damage was massive and it included, but not limited to: two 65-inch TV's, a computer, a 60-year-old organ, antique heirloom, china platter, ******** candle holders, glasses, lamp shade, photos, frames, photo album, holiday dishes, souvenirs from around the world, handmade ceramics, shoes, doll collection, and many household items. MMG would not speak or settle directly with us; we had to work with an "independent arbitrator" that they, but not we, could communicate. Finally, the arbitrator called us, but we were told we could only make a claim on line. The claim form asked for original cost and weight of every item! Who could say what ******* paid for her china in the 1800's? They also required that we keep all the damaged items in case they wanted them! We are unable to comply. They are not licensed to do business in ******; a law suit would have to be across the country in *******. Lawyers want only bigger cases. We need help to recover so much loss.Business Response

based on the notations on our file, Mr. and ***************** have been advised on numerous occasions to go through the claims process that is place as a standard procedure for all clients equally. They refused to proceed with the claims process, and advised that we should provide them with a figure based on their assumption of damages and at that point they can decide if they agree to settle or rebut the settlement. We advised client that is not how we handle our claims process. We provided client with details information on how to go through the claims process and told them that we have a third-party claims processing company that handles and communicates with client directly
Client only signed for the basic valuation that is standard for any moving company which is $0.60 per LBS per article she did not take additional coverage through any other means and in order to properly compensate them they need to go through the claims process.
We understand that every client values their goods and we wish that we can pay everyone based on the figure that they have in mind. Unfortunately that's not how the process works.
We looking forward to client submitting information and settling on the claims as soon as possible.

I am wring this in hopes that someday the people at MMG Moving **** in ************ ******* will no longer be in service. They have lied and manipulated my father and myself from the very get go. With winter approaching and still not in procession of our furniture we have been forced to make new arrangements in living accommodations. On September 12th the movers did show up to our apartment in ********* and picked up our things at two locations, that was was great customer response, but the company has since gone downhill to all time f rated business. Upon signing the contract when furniture picked up we were promised delivery anywhere between ***** business days. Its now been nearly two months and we still have not gotten our furniture. We have called ****** and even ********* daily asking for an update and they always come up with these same excuses, the truck broke down, we cant find drivers, no loads going to Kansas, looking for another carrier etc. These excuses are getting old. We need our furniture. With winter quickly approaching we need our winter clothes. My dad is elderly and needs his bed and charm clothes and if anything happens to him health wise I am holding you responsible. I need to know where the furniture is being stored in **********, when a Truck Driver will be driving out here in Kansas and I need to know why its taking so **** long. How do you people stay in business is by one my. I am filing a complaint with the **** and the Attorney General of ********** to start a lawsuit on the lack of communication, endangering my fathers health and holding our furniture hostage for this long.Business Response

I am writing to formally complain about the moving company MMG Moving for their ineptitude in providing a cross-country move from ********** to **********. Not only was there zero communication from them regarding the terms of our contract during this time, but their customer service was horrendous. Their complete lack of accountability and compassion made the entire experience a nightmare. To top it off, they were late with our delivery and only added to the frustration. Chosing to go with MMG was the worst decision I made, do not trust any brokers in this business as they do not vet these companies AT ALL and have zero regard for other people, they are a disgrace to human kind. I am appalled by their unprofessionalism and their complete disregard for basic customer service expectations. It is my sincere opinion that MMG Moving are nothing more than lazy scam artists and I would STRONGLY advise anyone looking to hire a moving company to look elsewhere.Do not make my mistake, it has costed me thousands, I have lost several nights of sleep over this and have had to make due without any of my things for an ENTIRE MONTH. Pay attention to their delivery days, they scam you by making it sound and seem like they will deliver within 7 - 13 consecutive days however their promise is 7 - 13 BUSINESS DAYS which is completely egregious and a testament to their work ethic and lack of values. Thank goodness I don't have children or this would have been even worse, trying to explain why they are having to sleep on an air mattress for 30 days sounds horrible. They should be ashamed of themselves and I look forward to the day when they go out of business. Based on the many complaints just listed here I am shocked and disheartened they are still allowed to continue business as usual. I don't know how anyone on that team sleeps at night, they are all just as at fault for working for a criminal company like this and shame on them as well. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICEBusiness Response

customer signed the Bill of Lading at the time of the pickup which explicitly states the transit time that we have allotted for our company.
We are working tirelessly to get the items assigned and loaded as soon as possible. We are well within the timeframe for delivery and have not exceed the time that we consider a reasonable dispatch time. Customer booked the broker who we work with and we know for a fact the transit time was explained to this customer as well not only on a recorded line but sent to her in writing as well.
Once we have the items assigned which should be happening in the next few days, customer will be notified of this matter by the dispatch manager.

The leading company for my move was Direct *** lines which contracted MMG. Pick up date was on 3/13/2023. My moving cost went 3x times higher than what Direct lines told me I would pay. MMG charged me over three times the original quote, which was 4K, and it went up $11K to move from CA to GA. My things were picked up on 3/13 and put into storage, where they still sit. I gave them a delivery address on the moving date, and I still don't have my belongings four weeks later. I called MMG a customer service representative chewing gum answered me, saying they don't have a delivery date or a driver assigned to drive to the east coast yet, and that's about it; last week, I called them on 3/27, and they told me they would call me on Friday 3/31 to give me a delivery date and they never called me. my life is put on hold for the last four weeks because I don't know when my furniture will be delivered. For the moment, my family, which includes two little kids, is sleeping on the floor. At this point, I don't care about a refund. I only want them to finish the job and deliver my items.Business Response

I used Medal of Honor Moving Group for my move from ** to **, and they brokered the move to MMG Moving, LLC. I regret not looking further into MMG up front, as I am just finding out after my nightmare experience that MMGs current owner as per ******** online business records, *************************, was indicted for a moving fraud scheme worth over $12m in February of this year (see link below). I am seeking a partial refund for the $3,898 move I paid in full, as the driver did not complete any of the services upon delivery that are included in the price estimate (unloading into our premises, reassembly of all furniture, etc.). After already paying $3,898, which was the full *estimate* of the move, we were told it was going to be at least another $500 to move our belongings into a smaller truck, plus other fees for carrying over 100. At this point, to avoid incurring nearly another $1,000, we were told we have the option to move our belongings into our own rented truck and complete the remainder of the move ourselves, which is what we settled on. The following day, I contacted MMG as I was expecting a refund of a portion of the $3,898 as the delivery driver did not have to fulfill the entire service. I pointed out the provision of the contract that states that the total estimated charges for service is not a guarantee of the final total actual charges which may increase or decrease based upon actual services performed. Despite the contract, ****** at MMG said we aren't getting anything back. This is a breach in the agreement and extremely poor business practice. I will keep persisting until I am entitled to my refund.*******-Based Moving Company Operators Indicted for Moving Fraud Scheme Worth Over $12 Million | USAO-EDPA | ********** of *******Business Response

A verification was done on a recorded line which explained the **** the transit time as well as ALL ADDITIONAL CHARGES;such as shuttle, long-carry, stairs, etc. Which was agreed upon, hence why the move took place.
Under the Terms & Conditions of MOHs agreement; Section 5;
MEDAL OF HONOR MOVING GROUP will not have guaranteed pick-up or delivery dates, as per the *** guidelines.
Under ***************** of Agreed Pick Up and Delivery periods of MMG Moving LLCs Bill of Lading Contract;
Pickup and delivery dates are not guaranteed unless the optional premium guaranteed service is purchased.The non-guaranteed standard service delivery period of time is up to thirty (30) business weekdays, not including storage time, beginning on the first date indicated as available for delivery (not the date of pickup).
Under Section ** Disclosures and Agreed Terms of Delivery of MMG Moving LLCs Bill of Lading Contract; Under *********************** interstate moves an 18 ******* may be used to delivery the property. If destination address does not have access for an 18 *******, the shipper will be required to pay for shuttle service.
***************************** stated; I pointed out the provision of the contract that states that the total estimated charges for service is not a guarantee of the final total actual charges which may increase or decrease based upon actual services performed. (Full service was provided. The crew off-loaded the items from our trailer into customers rental truck, which concluded the move. If customer had not opted to get her own truck, the items would have been off-loaded into her home!) ***************************** was advised prior to making her decision (on a recorded line) if she was to get her own truck, that once her items were offloaded into said truck, her move would be completed.
*********************** nightmare experience is because she was in need of additional services, which she was made fully aware of at the time of booking (on a recorded line) what any/all additional charges could be. MMG Moving LLC has upheld our end of the agreement with *****************************. MOH as well as MMG Moving LLC has accommodated ***************************** from the beginning. The normal procedure when booking is; the deposit is rendered to broker (MOH) then the pick-up & delivery payment is made to the carrier (MMG) directly, via cash, zelle, or money order. As a curtesy, ********************; was allowed to pay her entire move via credit card. Now because a refund is not being issued, ***************************** is using the fact that a once member of our company was indicted as a means to blackmail our company. (which is presently ongoing so I am not at liberty to speak on the matter. However in this great country, an individual is innocent until proven guilty)
***************************, was aware of the additional service fees and options were provided to her. The option that was chosen consisted of her moving being completed at the time her items were off loaded from our trailer to her own truck. MMG Moving LLC, has NOT breached our agreement in any form, this move was performed legitimately, honestly and according to *** guidelines. So a refund of any sort will NOT be issued.
