The caller claimed to be an employee of ***********************, said my phone lines need to be changed to fiber optics. (2nd call from them in a month) When I insisted that my alarm system is not compatible, she transferred me to a "supervisor". When pressed, she admitted she was not a Frontier employee, but then claimed that their company had been "appointed by ******** to become my account manager!" After 6 previous calls from other companies trying to do the same, I had called Frontier, who disavowed all of them.When I told her I thought this was a scam, this "supervisor" told me I would actually have to install 2 new lines plus other equipment to make my alarm system compatible. She claimed that, if I continue to refuse, I would be getting a notice that my phone service will be terminated in 30 ************* IS installing new fiber optic cables here. This is only one of several who are using half truths, lies, and high pressure to gain customers.If there is any good about this call, it was that they used a real company name and a real phone number to call from; so I could verify who they really were.When they called on Jan 20, I asked them to not call me back. Unfortunately, when customers call 800 numbers at these big companies they are told many lies. Our website clearly states who we are, and who we have relationships with.

After I thought they were Frontier and said okay to their phone system, then they disclosed who they were. They mis-represent who they are at start of phone conversation. That needs to stop!

On 2/7/25, our VoIP phone system went down and we were unable to receive calls or dial out. I have called over 30 times and am not receiving any response from our provider, Converged Telephony Networks, who is having the server outage. I cannot reach tech support or my representative with the business. We have not had phones in 4 days now. There is no *** and no communication, we have been effectively abandoned by our provider. Additionally, we cannot port over our phone number to a new service until they get our current service back up. Which they have not done yet and refuse to communicate with us on what the issue is and when it will be resolved. I have made over 30 phone calls and left at least 10 messages, and sent 5 emails. Purchased Grandstream hardware for internet phone and fax service in June 2023. We ported over our ten business lines from **** at that time. Since then, we have experienced multiple outages and service interruptions with our phone service and our fax systems ( 2 faxes). We are primary care physician office in ************* that depends on our phones and fax to take care of patients on a daily basis. We typically see 40 patients a day and today, for the 5th or 6th time in our service history with Converged, we NO phone service and NO fax service in our office. This level of service is criminal. I am searching for an alternative service provider, however, the phones we purchased for $8500 from CTN are not compatible with ****, *******, not any of the providers we have contacted so far.Business Response

This company calls me repeatedly, 2-3 times per week, purporting to be from *********************** and saying I'm on an analog system (we are on fiber internet) and that we need to switch over. This is bait and switch, and is an unethical business practice.Business Response

We had been with this company for almost 3 year at the end of the year. We had given the *** info to pay every month. Great! Never got a monthly bill, statement, invoice. Call, but got charged. In august, we received a letter stating we owed this company over ***** dollars. We called and they stated "We have not charged a lot of companies for the past two year and have now realized and trying to collect the money." We offered to pay monthly because we are a small business and will not be able to pay that off in one payment. We repeatedly told everyone we spoke with we cannot do this and offered a solution. They did not accept and sent us a bill with late fees that is now *********. How are the customers who also had this "issue" dealing with it? We never got ANYTHING until august 2024 about this. The people who spoke to us were extremely rude. ***************** had phone service with **** from 1998 to January 2024. Due to the increase in the monthly bill, we decided to transfer our phone services to Spectrum on January 3, 2024. Due to poor phone services and the increase in spam calls, we called Spectrum only to find out that we were not with Spectrum and that our phone number had been sold to a third-party company. ******** also advised that their services were added on March 29, 2024 through a call-in to their sales department but they were never able to get the number ported from Converged Telephony (two months after our number was ported to Converged). Through numerous hours of research and phone calls, we determined that the owner (77 years old) had been scammed into thinking that he was transferring his service to Spectrum. This is elderly abuse and exploitation. We have contacted Converged numerous times and told that the owner did not sign an agreement with them. They sent an agreement that was clearly not signed by the owner. Each time the *** would say that a supervisor would call back - we never received a call. We are trying to get service with Spectrum but Converged will not port the number over unless we pay a $750.00 early termination fee on a fraudulent agreement. We want our number ported over to ******** and never have any more dealings with this company.Business Response

They are still calling and calling 2-3 times a week. I told the agent i have a AT&T Account Manager and they will not stop calling. Now I'm taking the Complaint to the *** and I'm going to contact my corporate office as well because at this point, they do not have a DO NOT CALL List because they told me numerous of times. I called and got a record of every call they made to me. Someone literally just call me twice last week. Im asking nicely stop calling my office about an expired at&t account. Converged Telephony Networks reached out to our company April of 2023 and informed us that our **** bill would have an outrageous increase on our next billing cycle, and that they would be able to cut our bill if we switched to their company. Initially we did not want to switch just because we were unsure about this company especially being a third-party solution provider for **** and we already had a lease with Avaya. Long story short we switched due to billing increase and Converged Telephony Networks agreed to buyout Avaya. We've now been in service with this company for 9 months and still haven't received payment for buyout of Avaya. We have contacted them REPEATEDLY OVER THE LAST SEVERAL MONTHS with phone records and emails as proof with very minimal response. As of right now we are currently paying Avaya and Converged Telephony because Converged refuses to send reimbursement check for Avaya payoff. Amusing enough this company emailed a copy of the unsigned check on January 31, 2024, and the check has been printed since November 24, 2023. With this being our biggest issue, we do have other issues concerning our phones that we've also emailed with no response along with needing to add more phones. We are over this company and either want our reimbursement check overnighted or out of our contract with no penalties. I'm pretty sure I've communicated with everyone in this office, and I've received the same response again again with no resolution. Higher authority has even refused to take my call.
