Thank you for reaching out to us for feedback on this complaint.
We at Miami Central Auto, work hard to buy vehicles in good working order. It is important to point out that we do check our vehicles prior to selling them and take them out on the highway to make sure they are road worthy.
Even though we check the vehicles, these are used, so we cannot know when maybe an internal part will fail even though when we tested the vehicle,it was fine. Because of this, when we sell the vehicles we make sure to repeat several times to our customers that we do not offer a factory or dealer mechanical warranty of any kind, we make sure to repeat this several times so that if the customer understands and accepts these conditions and we request them to sign the Buyer Guide, the AS IS disclaimer and additionally for our legal support, we also ask for a signature in a Warranty Waiver, where it is clear that under no circumstances the dealer can take care of a repair after the purchase.
When ************************* came to see the vehicle with her father, they went out on a test drive, the vehicle performed well in the test drive and the vehicle was purchased. As always, we explained the Caveats while buying a used car. We explained page by page all the documents, only after explaining these and getting a verbal confirmation from Ms. ********* did we request that she sign or initial the page we just explained.
About a week later, we received a call from Ms. ********* that the vehicle had broken down In ******** some ***** miles from us here in ***************. We are guessing she used the car for several days prior to going on her trip up north.
Looking at what she is stating in the letter sent to you, the fuel pump failed. Unfortunately, that is an item in the car that really does not give you a warning its going to fail. She also stated that MAF sensor was giving an error. This was after driving over ***** miles, which is what someone usually drives in about a month. Both items could fail at any time, its not a mechanical part you can see wear.
Ms. ******** then states that the engine and transmission both failed at the same time. We cannot verify this is true, but the probability of everything breaking at once is very difficult. (in one of the pictures she send with the check engine light it shows the engine is running). We dont understand how a bad fuel pump, would make the engine and transmission fail all at once. If the vehicle did have motor and transmission issues, these would have surfaced in the test drive or when she took the car home. We were not called prior to her trip.
Ms. Cerapano after the purchase, drove the vehicle more than ***** miles, so it is more than clear that the vehicle left our facilities without any defects, as the vehicle was not present for inspection, we cannot determine the cause of the failure.
Ms. ******** called requesting that we send her the title, because she was going to junk the car, which we find a bit extreme, more so when she said in the beginning, that the car had a bad fuel pump and the vehicle had only 103K miles when it left our dealership. This was requested and done.
Attached is a backup of documentation.
It is important to emphasize that there are options available at an additional cost for extended warranties, it is up to the customer to accept or not the purchase of the same as I attach a photo with the customer's signature declining and understanding that we are not responsible if something happens to the vehicle.

The client first stated that the fuel pump stopped working, that is the reason why the car was inoperable. The client now states that we drilled holes in the engine in order for the car to run. How do you fix a car drilling holes in the engine? The client used the car for over ***** miles, then she states the fuel pump failed. Now she states the engine had holes drilled into it. We did not drill holes into the engine. That's obsurd. If the engine had holes in it, it would not have worked. She drove cross country with the car and per your previous comunication the fuel pump failed.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: Its not only a bad fuel pump the transmission control module went. My transmission blew in ********. There are holes drilled into the engine, so it didnt make a knocking noise all documents back up. I was scammed. This company is selling fraudulent cars. I almost died with my child. They knew I lived in ******. They knew I needed to make it from ******* back to ****** . They told me the car was in excellent running condition. It is not.
They stuffed the plastic bag in the brake fluid reservoir instead of putting a cap on it. This place is altering vehicles to sell them. Obviously, they did not read my complaint because my complaint is not just about a fuel pump. Its not just a fuel pump. Its numerous things that are coming up with codes. I want my money back or I will take this to court and *** you for the vehicle as well as I had a nervous breakdown over this I was verbally Attacked by ***** He cursed me out and told me oh well you bought what you bought
Sincerely,

I met with ***** to test drive the *** 2016 328 I on April 4 of 2024 for no longer than 5 minutes. In which he told me to put down $1000 deposit or he couldnt hold the $2500 deposit offer. I put down the ***** dollar deposit and he told me to return back in less than two days or I would have to restart the process. I was told to return back with both insurance and the other $1500 deposit. He said that he would have the air-conditioning and that was the only fix needed on the car. I returned on 5th with the remainder and insurance as asked. He said he is going to keep the car for 2 days to fix AC. He called back a day later saying omit was the wrong part. And to get the car and come back in a week. I returned home from *************** to ****************************, which was a ***************** the drive the total of three sensors came on the dash one being the engine fan, 2 being the drivetrain, which doesnt allow the car to go over 40 mph and makes it unsafe to drive along with the tire sensor. I immediately called ***** and let him know about everything going on and he said once the loan was complete and done with the bank that he would start fixing all the problems. I talked to my family attorney who told me to meet with ******** and they told me there was hidden issues upon checking the car. **** ***** and his team had to have removed a couple sensors and so thats why when I drove the car off the lot it wouldnt show for a few miles. **** the car was unsafe to drive with these many issues. I was sola a lemon and not a used car. I immediately called the bank of the loan and told them I was unhappy and they said call ***** immediately and they stopped the loan. He was unhappy. I then went to the hospital for a week. I returned the car as soon as I was released. No more than 2 weeks in my possession. A total of six sensors had came on within two weeks of having the car. Along with the stabilization making the car shake. Breaks and oil change. He said my deposit was gone.Initial Complaint

On December 19, 2023 we purchased a car from central auto. This was a used car. The check engine light was on and we were told that it was just a sensor. We purchased the vehicle for $14,000 cash. We spent $2000 on an engine leak. The vehicle was still having issues, the check engine light was still on. Brought the vehicle to the dealership to get diagnosed and was told it will take $13,000 to fix the issue.
