I took my son to look at and possibly purchase a 2013 Audi A6 Thursday afternoon August 24. We liked the vehicle and decided to purchase it we came home that evening then first thing in the morning we noticed the passenger side wheels were bald or with hardly any tread, in fact the rear tire was so bad that the cords were showing through. So we went to the dealership and spoke with our sales person whom I asked to see the vehicle inspection to see if they were possibly ordered against the car, but not installed because surely someone wouldnt sell a vehicle with tires that are completely unsafe and that if pulled over by the police he could write one a ticket for them. I was told I had to see the service department for that report, as I went back I explained to the service rep the same thing, and was told that I needed to see my salesman. After a meeting of the service and assistant sales manager in an office with multiple other people from time to time, I was told the car is sold as is and they would not replace the tires. I again asked the assistant sales manager for the inspection in which he replied we will get it for you. Shortly after that I saw him get in a vehicle and leave and his boss came in and explained they wouldnt replace my tire and flat out refused to let me see the vehicle inspection multiple times and insisted they didnt order tires against the vehicle. I asked to then speak to the ** and was told flat out no he will not see you. He did however say he would sell me new tires at his cost and cover balancing and installation. Flatly refusing to let me see the vehicle inspection of the vehicle I purchased is more than shady and selling unsafe vehicles knowingly should be a criminal act.

      Hi.

Thank you for your purchase from Ft Myers Volvo. After reviewing your claim. We found that you purchased this vehicle AS-IS. You also sign off (See Attached) knowing that this vehicle had tires that were at a minimum tread depth.

We also gave you a substantial discount on the purchase price (See Attached) that should help you buy new tires. We also offered to sell you tires at our cost. If we can be of any more assistance let us know. Thank you again for your purchase.

I am rejecting this response because: I may have signed the documents but as it was evening and I could not see the deficiency. Within 30 minutes of you opening the next morning I was there to report said deficiency. Regardless of what was signed, you papers stating tread depth were false. You sold a vehicle which had illegal equipment as ******* has a legal tread depth limit which 2/4 tires did and do not have.I dont know of any other business practice where its ok to sell something illegal. you have a legal obligation to not sell something illegal.

      Sincerely,

We have video of you and your son inspecting the car by walking around it many times and clearly bending over to inspect all for tires before test driving it. You can also see from the attached picture that this was done in the middle of the afternoon and not at night as you stated. Also, there is no ******* law on minimum tire thread depth on a used car purchased AS-IS. Thank you for your business.

      Complaint: 20523535

I am rejecting this response because:
This is a deceptive picture as walking and looking at the paint in not an inspection. It was also late afternoon and became dark quickly after that because of time of day and rain and storms in the area.

Your tire paperwork says minimum tire tread in the description as being satisfactory, yet, knowingly misrepresenting what is actually there constitutes fraud.

      Sincerely,

My husband went to McGrath Volvo to purchase a preowned truck he had seen and applied for online. Once we got there, we were told the truck was no longer available, and also the amount they quoted for our trade-in drastically changed. My husband ended up purchasing a pre-owned lifted truck, spending over $30,000. We took the truck home that evening and woke up in the morning to a pile of oil in our custom driveway! My husband had to leave for work and parked his truck at work, also depositing oil all over their driveway. My husband had to argue with McGrath to get the truck back in after having it for one day for them to look at the issue and get it resolved! They told my husband it was a seal that was leaking, and they would order the part and let him know when he could bring it back in. My husband went under the truck and found the pan to be completely rusted through with 2 holes in the pan. Nevertheless, it has been a nightmare to get Mcgrath Volvo to correct or handle anything on a truck that we owned for one day. We have since also foundhi other mechanical issues with the truck. McGrath shows no care or concern for their clients. l would highly recommend staying far away from this company if you are looking for a pre-owned vehicle. We have dealt with Carmax, and they are wonderful and stand behind their vehicles!!! the way it should be. Mcgrath Volvo shame on you absolutely disgusting service!

***y picked up my truck last Monday promising to resolve the issues.  When we called last Friday (they had the truck for 5 days already) they stated they were waiting on Parts, when we called yesterday (Monday) we were told by Case in service nothing had been done with the truck at all. and that service was waiting on Sales to sign the approval for the work.  ***y had the truck 1 week and absolutely nothing has been done!  I called the Service **** *** General  Mgr **** 3x and **** the ************* person who arranged for the truck to be brought in.  I received NO response from anyone.  Today Tuesday l finally spoke to ***** in Service who assured me she would get to the bottom of this and get back with me, it's now 2:08 pm and no call back since our conversation this morning.  ***y never offered my husband a loaner vehicle and for over  week he has Been asking people for rides in and out of work.  This whole situation is unacceptable and no response to our calls to get an update on the truck is even more unresponsible!  We want our truck repaired and a loaner provided for any additional days they need to repair the vehicle.  I cannot believe that ****** the Sales Manager has absolutely no answer as to why the truck sat for one week with nothing being done and why **** the General Manager refuses to return a call to an upset customer.

My 2020XC40 Volvo lease was coming due in 08/11/23. I contacted different dealerships looking for the best deal. Which was no money down, take in my current Volvo XC40 as is for a trade, 12 thousand miles a month, tinted windows and have my payment as close to the current monthly payment amount as possible. Two Of Volvo dealerships were able to offer that deal, however they did not have all black car S60. I saw McGrath Volvo cars of Ft. Myers had black S60 me and girlfriend ****** called new car sales manager ****************** him on the speaker. Told him what deal we were looking for and what we have for him as a trade. We were very specific and told him that we have two other dealerships that are offering us the deal. We asked him if he was able to match it. He asked us to send him mileage of my XC40 and VIN number. A few moments later we got a text message saying they got some good news-***** will do the deal! We called ***** again asked him to email us to confirm it. He told us he was a man of his word and will do the deal as he promised. I scheduled to pick the car on Saturday 07/22/23 ****pm. I arrived at ****pm met with my sales man ****. I asked if he needed to see my car and test drive and look at tear and wear he said no. Shortly I went to sign my new lease papers with ****. ************** and asked if I could get some paperwork from him saying that they are taking my car as trade and that I wont get any bills or invoices from Volvo Financial. He said not to worry everything is taken care off and I can contact him or **** Monday and he will email me what I need. I reviewed the paperwork again in the car and noticed I did not see any 36000miles per lease term listed. Went back and spoke to **** he said it was ****m a year. I asked him to call ***** and fix it. He did. Called ************** Tuesday asking for XC40 trade in papers he said he didnt take it as trade and never said he would. The worst sales and customer service I have ever received from a Volvo dealer in my 54 years. Volvo items purchased with the vehicle (21 inch Volvo wheels) still have not been installed after nearly 8 months. I was promised when I picked up the vehicle new at the dealer in November 2022, that the wheels would arrive within about a month at most. It is my belief that they only included the wheels to get the vehicle sold, as the upgraded 21 Volvo wheels were an absolute condition of sale. I have contacted other Volvo dealers in the region who have stated the wheels (rim and tires) could be ordered from the same supplier and installed within six weeks. I also have warranty work (bent stainless steel bumper plate, Volvo hidden hitch software fix, and interior drivers door panel catches on window when opened and closed) identified over 6 months ago that has not been resolved. I just want the items I paid for and the warranty repairs fixed. If they are unable to deliver the items and warranty repairs then I would like compensation to have the exact same wheels fitted and and warranty repairs at another Volvo dealer. They can arrange to pick up their wheels.

I am rejecting this response because: the response did not address installation of the 21 inch volvo wheels that i paid for when i purchased our new XC60 and have yet to be installed. They also did not address specifically what will be installed and also repaired when i bring the vehicle to have everything completed. As the dealer is over two hours from my home, i need to know that everything is on hand and will be installed when i bring the vehicle in. I would like it in writing as i have left numerious voice messages and sent numerious email to everyone from the Salesman to the General Manager over the past 6+ monthes who rarely respond and when they do respond they do not provide a direct response to my questions. I do not believe it is asking to much to finally recieve a direct response that each item is on hand and will be complete in one trip to the dealer.

Purchased a CPO Volvo XC60 on April 14th 2023. On delivery of the vehicle, several parts and one key were missing. The dealership has provided the missing parts but is declining paying for my new key, despite its inclusion on the "We Owe" form. Originally McGrath Volvo said that a key would be mailed to me. I explained I would be leaving the state for the summer in the last week of April and provided an updated mailing address. On May 10th, I was told that the vehicle had to be present for key programming, and they offered to send me a check for $400 to cover the costs of doing it locally. I called the local dealership and they provided me an estimate of $540.19 for the key and programming. McGrath Volvo said that they would reach out and pay the local dealership directly. They did reach out and payment arrangements were made. On June 1, I took my car in for the new key programming appointment. After work was complete, McGrath Volvo refused to pay the local dealership. Instead they are trying to get my local dealership to run the key through the warranty as a new key benefit is included. However, should I actually need to use that benefit for myself after actually loosing a key, it wont be available. Our agreement states that the dealership will provide the key, not that the key will be provided by the warranty company (apparently also owned by the dealership). Both the local dealership and I told McGrath Volvo that this was not an acceptable solution. After my last conversation with McGrath Volvo (specifically with the sales director, ****) McGrath called the local dealership and told them I had accepted charging the warranty, which is exactly the opposite of what I said, so they misrepresented me to the local dealership, who were wise enough to confirm with me before following through. I'd like my key paid for as agreed, and additional renumeration to make up for the countless hours I've spent trying to get this issue resolved.

***************, the sales person assured us that it was a standard bed pickup, but it turned out to be short bed. That was the first misrepresentation. Apparently in the confusion, we were distracted when we signed some paper agreeing to a higher price than advertised. I do not have a copy of that and don't remember agreeing to a higher purchase price.. Then when we got to the office for final signing, we did not notice the price was about $1700.00 higher than the advertised price (I have various screen shots of the sales advertising showing the advertised price). Also, in the confusion of an hour long signing process there was a charge of $2600.00 for "extended warranty" which I would never agree to, but the dealership representative ****************************** says he has me on video tape agreeing to take that. There was confusion in that room and distracting questions like "Where did you guys meet", etc. It is a new truck with **** miles; I don't need or want an extended warranty. Interesting that the "Vehicle Buyers Order" has only one charge highlighted in yellow, the Title and License fees, so a distraction from the other charges. Certified mail to the dealership resulted in a phone call from ***************** saying they would discuss with me if I came in, and could refund "some"of the money. Not satisfactory to me. Now the problem is I am driving the vehicle illegally because they supplied me with a license plate (which I had to install) that does not match the Registration. There were other issues of lies and misrepresentation that is too much to list here. The dealer used intentional predatory pricing and taking advantage of a 77 year old man with hearing issues. We were rushed into signing and initializing much paperwork, and were not give the time to ask or inquire about what we were signing. I have given them a month to rectify the issue with no result.

The 2022 GMC SIERRA **** was sold has the short bed which is the STANDARD BED. (See attached). The long bed is an option. So, there was no misrepresentation on that. The signed negotiated sales price was of $63,880. (See Attached) was a discounted price of $1680. less than advertised. All applicable fees were clearly displayed not only on the signed Bill of sale but also on the Vehicle listing page on our website. The customer also purchased the optional extended warranty. **** he can cancel at any time with a signed cancelation form. After reviewing all of the signed documents and watching the recorded sales transaction. I do not believe there was any Misrepresentation and the customer paid $1680. Less than the asking price. The customer is welcomed to come in anytime if they have additional questions. Thank you

On September 12th I purchased a used 2018 ****** Sienna. The car arrived with a crack in the window sun shade which I wasnt made aware of. I also payed the sales tax amount of $1064.31 and Title, Registration fee of $52.75 but still have not received my Vehicle registration or title. I have contacted Volvo cars of Fort Myers about both issues but they have dismissed me and and havent shown any effort to correct the issues with their service. My temporary registration and tags will expire on October 7th and I still have not heard for them and when ever I try to call they do not attend the phone. I need this issue resolved quickly because my car will be towed if I dont get the correct documentation. I feel I should also be given a small sum of money for the repair on the sun shade. Brought my car to the Volvo dealer in June 2021 for a check engine light, oil light and needed an oil change. I was told they updated computer software and did and oil and filter change but did not charge me for it. The invoice states in the comments that the oil change and filter were replaced but I was told verbally that they had "extra filters laying around and can't put it on the invoice or we'd have to charge you for it". I took my car and less than 6 weeks later (August 11) my engine seized. It has less than 80,000 miles on it. I had it towed to a local shop and they determined it was seized. I asked them to drain the oil and pull the filter to make sure the oil change and filter were replaced like I was told by Volvo. I have pictures of the oil and filter. I brought them to the attention of the service director at Volvo and he verbally agreed more than 3 times that there was no way they changed the oil and filter and that they under no circumstances do they give away free oil changes. I brought a friend with me who can act as witness to these statements. Volvo has had my car at the dealership and have done nothing to correct the problem.

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2021/12/17) */ The car arrived at our dealership with no oil or oil filter. There is no way to determine the cause of the sizer. We are willing to help participate in the repairs. We will reach out to the customer to review their options. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/01/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Volvo is giving a statement on my car being transferred to them from Country Club Motors on October 27th 2021. Per Volvos request *AFTER IT HAD ALREADY SEIZED*. My complaint is about June 29th 2021. I took my car for maintenance at the Volvo dealership because of the check engine light on, the low oil light being on, and it needed an oil change. On July 1st 2021 when picking up my car I received an invoice for June 30th 2021. Stating under the check engine light " reset light upgraded software 2.0" and under the no oil pressure light " checked oil level low, changed oil and filter, reset Monitor" at no charge! On August 11th 2021 my car seized and was towed to Country Club Motors. I was given a diagnostics check from August 11th 2021 that states "no tamper seal on inspection. Oil level low and really black. Oil filter dirty." I went in to the Volvo dealership August 25th 2021 and discussed with the service director, that the service I was provided was not the service I was told I received. He also confirmed that they do not give free oil changes. Upon showing him the pictures from Country Club Motors of the oil and filter he in fact agreed that they had not been changed. I had not yet told him the engine seized! I then spent around two mounts trying to get ahold of him again and get some kind of information. I then returned to the Volvo dealership on October 26th 2021. When I then made it clear that my car seized and was told by the service director that they could do nothing moving forward unless I had the car towed to them. The car was towed by Volvo the very next day to the Volvo dealership on October 27th 2021. Then once again I tried multiple ways of contacting the service director, including leaving him messages that I still didn't get a response to. I finally went back in to Volvo on November 23rd 2021, he started out by saying that they did a computer diagnostic check and it told them the engine was not starved for oil, It is probably a dropped valve. We then asked him for the diagnostics check and he spent 20 minutes rummaging through everything in or on his desk then went all over the dealership before finally returning to tell us they could provide no kind of statement for me. In the meantime, a witness that has 15 years of ownership of an engine repair shop checked the information for a car to seize because of a dropped valve. He then said a dropped valve will not lock your car's engine up completely like mine is. He then stated this to the service director who then confessed that he has no idea about cars or mechanics. Then agreed it wasn't in anyone's best interest to mislead a customer. My witness then returned on my behalf on December 7th 2021 because once again all efforts to contact or communicate with him failed. On that day he said their technician stated that the car has a spun bearing ... but still can not provide me with any kind of documentation but will gladly email it to us that day. It has now been almost a month since that last encounter, I have now been with out my car for almost 5 months. Business Response /* (4000, 19, 2022/01/26) */ We are in the process or repairing the engine for the customer. The customer will only be responsible for miscellaneous cost (oil, gaskets, etc). We will contact the customer when the repairs have been completed. Consumer Response /* (4200, 21, 2022/02/06) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) considering the only thing I ask for when all of this began was an oil change and it clearly did not happen. I do not think it appropriate that I be responsible for any charges. I am also not comfortable with "miscellaneous cost" or oil, gaskets, "ect."This could be anything. I have now payed insurance now for 6 months with no car, car rental fees, and storage fees from country club motors. one other worry is the condition of the cars interior having been sitting, as well as the tire condition. Business Response /* (4000, 23, 2022/02/08) */ We are not willing to pay for any additional Items for this claim. If the customer does not accept our offer. We can cancel the parts and they will need to have their car remove from our dealership. Thank you Consumer Response /* (3000, 28, 2022/03/01) */ I can assure you I never got the email. I'm not sure what happened but I wasn't just not replying. Of course I want the company to repair my car, my issue is that they want to charge me "miscellaneous costs" which to me, could add up to hundreds if not thousands of dollars. This is what I'm not OK with. It was their fault that the engine seized and I don't think it's unreasonable for me to want them to fix it at no cost to me. I'm not asking Volvo to pay for my insurance for the last six months or to put new tires on the car or anything of the sort. I just want my engine fixed and to get my car back. It's been six months. Do you see where I'm concerned and want this resolved? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/09/29) */ The car was purchased AS-Is and signed off by the customer. We charge $799 Documentation fee on all of our sales as advertised on our website. The same website where the customer found the car for sale. We do not put gas in any used car sales. If the car had any mechanical issues the customer should have pursued a refund from his inspector for missing the issues. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/10/08) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) perfect response except their manager told me they should have put some gas in the tank ,also blame anyone else for your poor business decisions, and adding $1240 to price was just a mistake.I don't know how you got a high rating unless you fudged those numbers like you did mine. I will contact a lawyer see if they can do anything
