Ive been a Patient here for Many yrs, my entire Family. I will be taking my Business elsewhere. My Vision has changed. The Doctor changed my glasses prescription, but didnt change my Contacts, after paying for a contact lens exam in June of 2024. When I called to get a trial pair of Contacts to match my new prescription it was a huge hassle. Finally received a call that the trial was available. When I picked them up, I was confronted by the optical clerk who had a horrible attitude. We were going back and forth with one another, I left very unhappy. I didnt look at the lens when I was there. Once I arrived Home to put them in, I noticed they were expired. I called to inform them they gave me an expired trial pair of contacts, this was on Friday 2/21/2025. I received a call from the (Optical Manager), she was extremely standoff. She told me that I wasnt getting another pair of trials, she stated that I am trying to change my prescription. Yes, I am trying to change the prescription of my contacts because my Vision has changed. The Doctor changed my glasses prescription, but never changed my contacts. I cannot see with my contacts I am currently wearing. I wear my Contacts more than Glasses due to my line of work. The Office Manager argued with me about replacing the expired trials that they gave me. My contact Lens need to match my current prescription, and they refuse to give me a trial that is not expired! I have contacted corporate twice, no one has contacted me, or helped. I cannot see with my old contact lens. Im also having severe headaches. I now have to pay out of pocket to have an exam at a new ********** because Im not eligible to file through insurance until June. All I have asked of them was to give me a trial pair of contact lens that matched my new prescription, this is their practice and Ive had this done each time I needed a different pair of contacts. They are refusing to replace the expired pair they gave me.Business Response

Optical Manager and Regional Director were notified of the complaint on 3/17, Optical Manager states that an annual contact lens fitting fee of $25 was charged to patient, the lenses issued at that time were not expired. All patient have the ability to have contact lens prescriptions filled anywhere they choose, it does not have to be from the provider issuing the script. . A $65 refraction fee is charged to all patients and they are made aware at time of visit and has not been paid. There have been multiple visits where patient has requested a different RX but it was explained to her that this cannot be accomplished without her seeing the doctor.
Doctor's order that no more trial lenses be issued without an exam. Her existing RX is valid through June 2025, she is able to have it filled at any eye care provider.

I am rejecting this response because: This is a bold face fabrication! I did not receive a contact lens trial during my visit! The Doctor stated my prescription has changed, but she never gave me a trial for the new prescription! I received the trial pair February 21st 2025. The lens expiration date was February 1st 2025. When I called to have the trial replaced with a pair that wasnt expired, they refused. My current contact lens prescription does not match the prescription in which my vision was changed to. Ive been using lens that do not match the knew prescription. I was told by the doctor my vision changed, she changed the perception of my Glasses, but she never changed the prescription of my contacts. The prescription for my contact lens are old. Ive already seen the Doctor and she told me my prescription changed, but she never gave it to me for my contacts, nor did she give me a trial pair during my fitting. I paid for a fitting without a trial pair of lens. These People are very unprofessional, and are liars!!!!
Sincerely,

My eye doctor told me I might have glaucoma maybe in November. I had a field of vision test done April 21,2024 to determine if I do have glaucoma. I have called probably 4 times in the last few weeks for the results. They know I need this information for my pulmonologist so he can give me the best medication for my lung issues. I have been asking if I have glaucoma since November.Business Response

Quigley Eye was my eye care company for many years. During a regular check up I was advised that I needed cataract surgery. They performed all of the required tests, while I was signing the required forms I was advised that for an additional out of pocket cost of $4,900.00, I could have lenses put in each eye and never need to wear glasses again. I agreed and paid. At my follow up visits I complained that my vision was much worse than before the surgery. Dr **** the surgeon, agreed that the surgery was not a success, he advised a different lense should be installed, or a piggyback lense should be installed, he felt the piggy back lense would be easiest to do and correct the problem. I went along with his recommendation. At the surgery center, on the following day, the doctor that checked my eyes, commented that she wouldn't have recommeded this surgery for me. This additional surgery was done with no improvement. On another follow up visit I met with another doctor at Quigley Eye, who advised me that these procedures should never have been done in the first place because I had mono vision. After more follow up visits Dr *** advised me that nothing else could be done, I'd have to live with it. Now without glasses on I can't read my watch, I can't read a menu at a resturant, I cant read my computer key board, I can't read the smaller print on the dashboard of my car, I need glasses to read any smaller print. Prior to the surgery I only used drug store readers for magazines or books. I'm sure Dr *** did not mean to do this to me, but he made the mistakes that caused my vision problems. I want a full refund of the $4,900.00 "never need glasses again" charge! I have as of today, made nine phone calls to Quigley Eye, to a special number they gave me regarding this problem, leaving a voice mail, with only one response, stating that someone would get back to me, no one has ever called me back!Initial Complaint

Date of transaction: 06/22/23 Eye test and contact lens fitting was paid for at a ***** of Quigley Eye Specialist located in Cape Coral. This is a process whilst trying on and adjusting different lenses. The branch which performed the service closed operations. I contacted Quigley other branches for continuation of finalizing the contact lens adjustments. Quigley could not make decision how to proceed and kept pushing me around. I now have to pay and see another eye specialist to get the procedure completed. How horrible for a so called professional company. I want my money back. I do not want to do business with this company anymore.Business Response
