After Hurricane ***, we went to our State ****************** expalined our losses. The office reccomended a vendor for our roof. We were new to the area - trusted our State Farm ************** as 24 year employees. We went ahead with Affordable roofing to replace our roof. The entire process was a saga of us playing tag with the vendor. Everything was to pull teeth with them for action. Once the roof tiles arrived via a subcontractor, they ripped off our roof. The workers were terrible. Left messes all over the property and even nails never picked up. We requested for them to be picked up with magnet as normal roofters have this in their process. Each day i picked up their lunches in my yard & watched as they picked my fruit to eat from my trees. I complained to the office they said there is no fixing this disrespectful behaviors & dont try to remediate. Lack of respect to property, lack of safety concern for children/family living in the house, and left work areas a mess daily. Fast forward to the roof being installed. Looked beautiful from the road. We do admit that - but you get up close & it is a crooked wavy mess. The first inspection was failed due to broken tiles being installed & upside down tiles. They came back to fix to pass inspection at which time sales guy spoke with my husband about the discoloration of the tiles at the edges. We waited weeks before he contacted us again regarding the tile manufacturer. I actually called them then had them come out the next day. Delayed weeks due to Affordable Roofing - the vendor never heard from them. Last installment of payment was requested - we said we would pay when the work is completed. The sales guy says ok - 2 days later we recieve a lien on our property and told its not their problem the tile is an issue. Said thats between us and the tile ************ will be a long time before that work is complete so they want their money. No invoice - nothing just a lien! Work is NOT COMPLETED! Monday they were here fixing gutters.
