    I rented a car from U-Save for 10/25-10/27, 2024. Upon pickup learned that they require $300k of property damage insurance (our policy covered up to $50k) or you have to buy theirs, none of which was communicated previously (classic bait and switch). Was quoted $100.44 for the additional insurance, which I agreed to because I had no other choice and I was in a sketchy part of ***** with no other options. Unfortunately, the charge they placed on my credit card added an extra "0" which made the charge $1,000.44 instead of $100.44. When I noticed and called them upon return, they first gave me the runaround and played it off like an accident until I told them I would dispute the charge with my cc company. Then they posted a pending credit for the difference ($900) to my card to appease me which they later removed without telling me, thereby still charging me the full $1000. The "receipt" they gave me for the credit was falsified and sent from a phone number that is linked to repeated scams. This company completely and totally scammed me.

    Hello,My name is Abijahday ******, I rented a car from this location in August 2023. The vehicle was scratched while parked and claim was submitted to my insurance immediately on August 19, 2023 as Id agree that they would cover ALL incidents if any during the course of my visit. my card was then charged twice for the amount Geico agreed upon paying and paid in FULL for the damages. I have made multiple attempts to rectify the situation each of which Ive been told it would be looked into or I am told someone would get back to me, to my calls being ignored all together. All I ask is to be refunded for the amount that was charged to my card going against our agreement. I have all receipts and recording of the agreement and payments made by ***** and all the texts messages and phone logs reaching out to this company who refuses to refund me. There are many complaints about this company scamming customers.

    On 3/2/24 I rented a car and paid $250.00 security deposit and they still havent returned my money! This place is run by scammers (read the reviews at usave car rental FLL,and you are going to see)! When I called them and asked about security deposit refund they stated that it takes up to 10 business days to see if my money will be refunded even though the guy who took the car from me inspected the car and gas tank level and stated that everything was good and that I was free to go! I filled the gas tank and vacuumed the car at the nearby gas station and dropped it off right after that! Right when we were picking up the car my wife said to me these guys are scammers and I couldnt agree more! It has been over a month now and they still havent returned my money!

    On 2/5/24, I rented a car and was required to leave a $2000 deposit despite being a ** resident and having a return ticket. I returned the car on 2/10/2024 and to date, my deposit has not been returned.

    I waited an hour for the shuttle from the airport, which was literally a 7 minute ride, when I called staff lied saying there were 2 drivers and there was only 1. All of the staff I had to encounter with on Feb 3, 2024 was rude and incompetent. ***** was extremely unprofessional, stated I had to use my auto insurance after I requested to purchase theirs. He was very impatient, while gathering my information, when I requested a copy of my agreement I was told it will be emailed and not surprised I never received it. I rented a standard vehicle for 2 days approximately $68 and was charged $176.41 then an additional $500 was supposed to be a security hold and refu ded with 10 days, instead it was an additional charge, which I have contacted this location 3 times and spoke to ******* twice who informed it was referred to the site manager ******* and now its going on a mo th with no refund and no response. The vehicle was bright back in the exact same condition it was when it left the lot except it had more gas in the tank than when it Ieft the lot. This company is scamming people enforcing m use their people to use their own insurance and charging additional fees then stealing money from credit cards with no reason as to why the money wasn't refunded. Where is my deposit?

    I rented a car in U-SAVE CAR &TRUCK RENTAL in ***** ** December 19 ...December22 /2023 and paid $250 security deposit. 12/21 I parked the car incorrectly and the police took it to their parking lot. ***** I paid U-SAVE $100 for returning the car and 250 security deposit again. The car was returned to U-SAVE 12/22 the same condition as it was on ***** but U-SAVE didn't refund my security deposit $500 reference #****** payment *** ******

    I booked the reservation with **************** travel and the total came to $113 for 5 days. After taking a 1 way Lyft ride to the location, I was told that I didnt have enough liability insurance. I ended up having to pay $64/day totaling $323 for a dented up old ****** Corola. It was a classic bait and switch. I am a fully insured driver in the no fault ****************, also they wouldnt allow me to use my Amex card that I booked the reservation with and was told I needed to use a different card. I see over 55 complaints on yelp for the same bait and switch insurance issue. This company should not be in business, its illegal what they are doing. Its normal to require collision insurance to rent a car, but $300,000 liability in a no fault state is criminal as its unnecessary. My insurance company clearly states that my $500 deductible collision insurance policy will cover a rental car. I am requesting that $210 be returned to my credit card for the unnecessary extra insurance cost.Thank you for your time.

    I rented a car with U Save via Priceline on 12/23/23. The confirmation code was APRL0518B1. The rental coverage was from 12/17-12/31. I arrived at approx. 10:30 pm (flight was delayed, notified U Save). I waited 30 minutes to be helped. The agent could not find my reservation. She called and spoke with someone in another language. After waiting another 30 minutes (with other customers waiting) she processed my rental. She made a copy of my driver's license and CREDIT CARD. Then asked for proof of insurance. I gave her my State Farm card but she said I needed proof of liability limits which I didn't have. Myself and another customer said the requirement of policy limits was not explicitly stated in our confirmation email. I was told I had to purchase the additional insurance on top of the *** coverage I opted to pay. At this point, it is almost midnight and I felt pressured to accept the terms. So instead of the $241.30 quote, I paid $333.83. Another concern is that U Save has a copy of my credit card number, expiration date, security code and driver's license. This presents a high risk of fraud and leaves me vulnerable. When I returned the car (which had previous damage) I asked for the return of the copies. First I was told it was in the ***** office, then it was filed away and he said he would look for it. I went to the restroom and he started to help other customers. He said he couldn't help me any longer and to call ****** at **************. I tried calling but was unable to leave a message.I felt forced to purchase the additional insurance. I believe the company engaged in deceitful practices and illegally made a photo copy of my credit card which is now available for employees to commit fraud with. I would appreciate a rely from U Save Car & truck Rental.Sincerely,****************

    I booked through car rental and purchased rental insurance. When I went to pick up the vehicle, they stated I must have liability coverage for *******. My rental went from $76 to $160.83

    On October 18, 2023 the rental company reported the car I rented stolen. Upon consulting with the manager *******, he agreed to allow me to pay the amount owed to make the car rental current with a return date of October 18, 2023. I paid a total $389.92. A receipt was sent to me and we verbally agreed that our transaction regarding the car rental would come to a close. A towing company came to retrieve the rental however, as it was reported stolen by the company. Out of good will, I offered to assist to pay for the towing fee for that day in order to retrieve my items in the car. ******* agreed and explained to me the owner of the vehicle would retrieve the vehicle the following afternoon Oct 19th, and the towing fees would cost the company $300. I offered to pay the $300 on a different method of payment for the cost of the towing fee in a gesture of good will and to ensure we settled our account in good standing. I was assured that the amount would be $300.After attempting to follow up with USAVE over the course of three days, ******* stated on Friday Oct 20 at 2:00pm the car would be retrieved so I can collect my items. I tried to make contact several times to retrieve my items to no avail over the next 7 days. ******* replied the car had a hold and the company was moving forward to retrieve their vehicle.On November 6, after having no update from the USAVE, I witnessed an unauthorized charge of $2113 to my credit card that I did not leave as an incidental from USave. I received no invoice, no previous discussion, no communication prior or after, no explanation about the charge prior to or after the charge, provided no permission to authorize a method of payment which should not have been stored. The company previously assured me I would not be charged additionally past Oct 18, 2023, as we were settled. Also my $389.92 charge on Oct 18 was duplicated.I was told to contact a manager's number for additional assistance and it goes straight to voicemail.
