I am a newly retired 62-year-old woman, and I thought I was receiving a call-back in response to an online form I completed for health insurance from ****** Marketplace. On Monday, January 9, 2023 ********* who stated she is a broker, took my personal information and discussed with me the details of a health insurance plan and the monthly cost ($286). ******* then transferred me to "*******", who text-messaged me a form to sign, which I did. On Monday, January 16, 2023, I again received a call from ********* (distinctive voice and style of speaking, which I recognized immediately), saying "good news *******, ************ extended the enrollment period to January 16th. I replied, ********* we spoke last week, and I thought this was a done deal". ******* led me to believe our previous encounter had not been finalized, and again went through details and cost for a health insurance plan ($271/month this time + a $99 enrollment fee). Again, ******* asked for my bank debit card information and text-messaged me a form to sign. Friday, January 20th I viewed my checking account online and saw I had been charged January 12th ($311, after the 1/9 call) and January 19th ($370.90, after the 1/16 call). I called the **************** numbers I had been given and have basically been given a run-around. Though I was told, by *******, I could cancel the insurance and obtain a refund within 30-days, I have not received any of the call-backs I requested and of course, no refunds. Unfortunately, only after this did I check-out Corvantis online to see others have been scammed by this company and have reported them to the Better Business Bureau.
