Requested a quote on 02/27/25 to have my daughters car shipped 180 miles to a dealership for trade in. I advised that I needed the transport done same day as it was urgent. I received a quote back stating the price to have it shipped that day. They took my initial payment of $195.70 and shortly thereafter I was told that they couldnt get it there until the next day. I told them to cancel as I wouldnt be needing their service because I had found someone who could pick it up and deliver the same day. I assumed they would reverse the charge to my card as they didnt provide the service, but they processed the payment. I have text and emailed the *** I was working with to have my money returned and havent received a single response. Still waiting on the response and return of payment. I was contacted on December 4, 2024 by **** at Get It Done Transportation offering there service to transport my 1970 mustang from ********** to **********. There original quote was $790 out the door and required I pay a $190 deposit over the phone to reserve a spot and the remaining balance of $600 upon delivery of the car. **** repeatedly stated how much his integrity meant to him and how much he would love to work with me and that they are a family business etc. I repeatedly had **** verify that the original quote of $790 was the final price and there would not be any additional hidden fees or charges which he assured me $790 was the final price. I told **** my car would be ready to pickup on December 9, 2024 and I would contact him on that date. When December 9, 2024 came around I contacted **** and told him my car was ready to be picked up and again I had him verify the total price was $790 with a $190 deposit to reserve a spot and $600 payment upon delivery, which he again assured me was the price. Once I paid the deposit I got a fraud alert from my bank because he charged me $298.70 without my permission. I called **** once I got the alert and he said the driver was requesting a larger deposit to reserve a spot and I would still only pay $500 upon arrival of the car. The next day on December 10, 2024 I was contacted by the owner of Get It Done Transportation he stated that there were no transport drivers around the area my car was located but miraculously they have a driver that was willing to go there for another $300 on top of the original quote of $790. What spot did I pay $298.70 to reserve if there were no drivers in that area to begin with? I requested a refund of my $298.70 and the owner said I should receive it in 3-5 days. That was on December 10, 2024 and Ive called them at least 10 times for close to a month now. Each time they give me a different story and say I will receive my refund. Hired to transport my motorcycle purchased from dealership in **, for delivery to my home in ** They subcontracted carrier company ****************** - Total price: $1190.00 When carrier arrived for pickup, the dealership called me, guaranteeing me that the bike was placed in transport mode, a procedure used to insure the battery would not die during transport.Upon arrival at my home, the carrier asked for my assistance unloading the motorcycle. The throttle and brake lever had been wrapped with a rag and box taped in the compressed position and the parking lights flashed every time the bike was moved. This indicates that it was no longer in transport mode and had been altered at some point during transport. When I questioned why the components were taped, I could not get an clear answer as the driver did not speak English. After unloading the bike, it would not start. The battery was dead. After realizing I could not effectively communicate with the driver due to the language barrier, I decided to accept delivery and pursue resolution directly with Get It Done Transportation.I placed numerous phone calls and texts seeking compensation for the replacement of a dead battery between July 29, 2024 and Oct 31, 2024. Each time I was told I would be contacted by a member of management to discuss and resolve my issue. The latest communication (via a ****** business review exchange) denies that any tampering occurred and tries to assert that the dealership sold me a motorcycle with a bad battery. The modifications made by the carrier driver (they contracted) to my motorcycle resulted in the bike's battery protection feature being over ridded, draining the battery to the point of needing replacement. They have failed to compensate me for failures that occurred as a result of their carrier driver's inappropriate actions. I have since paid out-of-pocket to replace the battery and am seeking a refund for these expenses: $231.Business Response

to whom may concern at the BBB. I am responding to this to let you all know Get it Done is not responsible for his battery. We did nothing wrong neither did my driver. Our contract and our website clearly stats we are not responsible for anything mechanical and the reason is simple we are not mechanics and we do not move the vehicles or motorcycles once we load them so how can we be respsoible for anything mechanical if we do not drive the cars or motorcycles at all. he claims my driver took it out of transport mode which is NOT true. I refuse to be extorted by threats of bad reviews unless I give him money for something I am not contractually obligated to. IF he said it was scratched or damaged we would not be having this discussion it would be resolved but that's not the case it is a dead battery he is trying to get us to replace. he bought a used motorcycle not new and blaming us for a bad battery or what ever he is claiming. please close this case as I am responding as a sign of good faith but I will not reach his "desired settlement" as it is nothing but extortion.Initial Complaint

Get it done transportation sent me a quote. 6/4/2024 I contacted them and was informed I had to pay $290 deposit to book my vehicle for transportation. I was sent a request for payment and I paid $290. I explained my vehicle needed to be delivered in a timely manner. I was told my vehicle would be picked up on 6/6/2024 with a 2 day run delivery. No truck showed on the 6/6/2024 through 6/10/2024. After several days of waiting, all I received was excuse after excuse why my vehicle would not be picked up. I canceled the transaction as they still weren't on the way to pick up my vehicle. I expected my deposit to refunded. I received no refund. I've contacted Get it done transportation several times requesting my refund with the response of someone will call you about this, no need to go back and fourth****** It's been 60 days. Because you booked it as a running vehicle the truck did not have a winch, it wouldn't need it being that you booked as running so we did nothing wrong. I am rejecting this response because:The car wasn't running correctly. The engine was being replaced. Fluids coming out of the engine. I ask for it not to be driven because I didn't want any further damage done. The driver never showed up for pick up on 6/6/3024 and expected. On 6/7/3024 I was told the truck broke down in ********** NC at another pickup location. On 6/7/2024 The driver stated that he was waiting on a replacement truck to pick up my vehicle. On 6/8/3024 the driver stated the truck never arrived so he was going to drive from ********** NC to ******** to get another truck and then come to pick up my vehicle. So I realized that your company was nit reliable at all. So You misrepresented your company. No gas, time, or wear and tear was waisted on me. You rendered no service to me other than phone calls. I was quotes $699.00 for the transport and when I booked I told *** **** the car didn't run because the engine needed to be replaced. *** Peon said I had to pay an extra ,$100.00 for the car not running. I agreed to pay that. That was incorrect that I mislead anyone. I've transported this car many times and have never had any issues. I am rejecting this response because: I was contacted stating driver truck was broke down in **********,** and the next day after I called driver says he needed to have another truck sent to him for replacement. The next day the driver said the replacement truck never arrived and he would drive to ******** to get a replacement truck then come back to ************** to pick up my car. The next day I canceled the trip as your trucks are untrustworthy. No truck was EVER IN TRANSIT TO MY HOME. Your company asked for deposits and never rendered service. Shame on you for not refunding my deposit. $290 will not make or break me but I assume it will hurt you. Your company basically scammed me. PERIOD.

Hi,This is complaint regarding business for car transport with unethical and illegal business practice. I booked my car transport with this business after getting quote on 05/16/2024 with amount of 2050 dollars. I have been in contact with businessperson ******************* constantly to make sure my car would be shipped on time with regular assurance from owner ***** and ******************* that car would be shipped on time. I told them ahead of time that I have booked my tickets with family from ** to ** and also vacating my home on 23rd of June. I was given absolute assurance that my car would be picked from date range 19th to 21st. I was given contact number of *********************** who is logistic manager and was inContact with him in the week of June 16th that everything is on track with car picked up scheduled on 20th. My cars were not picked up on 20th . On inquiring further, I was surprised as *********************** sent me text that price would be 3450 instead of 2050 at the right end when I was left with no option and was told to decide now whether I wanted my cars to be shipped or not. I had no option but had to pay extra 1150 dollars due to unethical and illegal practice. I was not given any consolidated answer as *****, the owner stated, driver is sick, and Mr. ***** said, truck broke down. I already booked my tickets with family and vacating my home on 23rd. I was forced to pay extra money which was not as per initial quote and agreement. Reading this complaint is disheartening. The client agreed to the rate BEFORE the car was scheduled to be picked up he did not need to agree to anything. He had more then 24hrs to know that the original truck broke down and all he had left was an upgrade in service which would cost more but if he wished to cancel he would receive a full refund. he stats it himself in his complaint he was given an opportunity to cancel before the services were rendered, picked up and delivered. He is trying to extort me by writing a complaint when he did nothing wrong. I am rejecting this response because: as mentioned before, my complaint is factual based with evidence detailing below:1. I was given quote of 2050 dollars and it is not my responsibility to pay for breaking down of truck and it has not been mentioned to me before even 2 days before picking my cars, as business once promised to provide services with initial quote, have to stick to that as this is binding contract between customer and business.
2. At the last moment, I was told to cancel the services if do not wish to pay 3450 dollars instead of 2050, as mentioned in my complaint and evidence presented, I had confirmed with ******************* with regular communication, I was assured that cars would be picked on time. I even explained that I had booked my tickets and vacating the house on 24th of June.
3. I was given refund of 300 dollars, which is after communication, and multiple calls to owner, logistic manager and ******************* but I had to pay 3150 dollars instead of 2050 dollars which is 1100 dollars more that quote provided to me.
This is unethical and deceptive business practice and blackmailing customer and threatening to cancel the services if not agree to pay way higher that initial quote.
Hope this will make business understand that you can not make people fool with unethical practices. My hard earned money is not for this.

I can not understand why I ,just go back and forth through the BBB it is such an outdated process and is a bad look debating the customer. I already said my peace and ********* knows he had the right to cancel BEFORE he decided to up grade in service on a smaller truck for more money but he decided to go forward with the upgraded service as long as we refunded him a portion of his money which he acknowledges that we in fact did immediately as promised. it is ONLY AFTER the fact he accepted the service he is trying to extort us for a free transport. I am rejecting this response because:He has not given any bit of answer why cars were not delivered based on quote and why it was last time cancelling threat. I have no option left except to transport the cars on the last day when I already vacating my house and starting new job with tickets booked based on false promises of this company.
Company extorted my money by deception and blackmailing.
I am not sure what to add as he has no answer obviously based on facts.
I will fight till my last breath to make sure these companies do not make customer fool and looting their money.
I really want to resolve this but I will fight until get the justice.

The next thing I know I receive an emailed receipt for $290.00!!((I learn later transporters are NEVER supposed to take a deposit until they have already located a truck!)In the end, **** wasn't able to find a truck and I had my car trucked by Montway Transport. We hired Get It Done Transportation to move two cars from ********** to *******. The mover was supposed to pick the cars up on Friday, April 12, 2024. Upon confirming with ******************* on Thursday April 11, 2024, he indicated the driver would contact us that evening to give a range of time when they would arrive on Friday. No call received on Thurs. Contacted ******************* on Friday morning and he changed the story to say he thought the move was for the following week. (Our dates did in fact, change more than two weeks prior and we informed ***** immediately who confirmed the new dates). He then indicated that he didn't have a driver and would need to find one. He found one, and the cars were loaded for transport.They arrived in ******* as scheduled. However, there was damage to one of the cars. The door to the gas cap was missing. The driver indicated since the damage occurred during transport, he was responsible for repairs. He took pictures including the paint color from inside the door and assured us he would contact the manufacturer and order the part. That was on April 17, 2024.We have been in contact with ******************* on a number of occasions, both via email (all have gone unanswered), and via phone. When we've reached him live, he hurries us off the phone indicating he will contact the driver and get back to us. He has never followed up. One May 15, he picked up the phone and confessed he can't get a hold of the driver and he would resolve it "today" with the driver's insurance company. "Today" has passed and still nothing from *******************.When we have made contact with him, he is always in a rush to tell us he will get back to us and cuts the call short. This is not the same manner in which he asked for our business when making the sale. Still waiting for the damage on my car to be fixed.AVOID this company at all costs. Its shame that the customer made a complaint here on the ********************. I have sent over the carriers insurance and they can make a claim. If they need it again I will have no problem resending it. I been in business almost 2 decades to say we are a shady company is a huge miss representation of our family business. I ask the customer to please call me and tell me what else they need to make this right. The carrier is responsible for if/any and all damages. I got requested help to transport a riding lawnmower, ATV and a tow behind bushhog. I was charged $1000. $ 600 went to get it done transport and $400 I paid the driver upon delivery. The same day I had it delivered I noticed another charge on my card for $300. I asked about it and was told it shouldn't have been charged and that they will correct the problem. The problem has not been corrected and I have asked for the company to fix it multiple times. I'm not sure what is going on but I am now frustrated. The way they have done I would not recommend this company to anyone who needs any type of item transported. The items were transported only 1 hour and 30 minutes away. To return the over charge shouldn't be this complicated. It's almost like they do not want to return the over charge ( I feel like this). I am very dissatisfied and would like this issue corrected and the over charge of $300 returned. There is no excuse for it to take this long or having this problem. I waited the 5 business days and then some. It's not hard, just fix this issue.Business Response

On Dec/28/2023, I hired Get It Done Transportation to move my car from ***********, ********** to ************. I was told that my car would be moved on January 2nd of ****, and would arrive on January 5th of ****. Well low and behold, January 2nd rolls by, no one picked up my car. I successfully get in contact with *******************, the broker who runs Get It Done, and he claims that he was checking in with the driver, that it was the driver who was running late. He never calls back to inform me when the driver was supposed to pick up my car. I continually called to no avail. I have been ghosted by this 'business' after they to nearly $500 of my money. This is dis heartening to read and was prematurely written. We did a great job for *************** and the car was picked up and delivered at the exact cost he was quoted, not a ***** more. The driver was dealing with bad weather he had to go through to get to the client so communication may have broke down a tiny bit but nothing malicious was done and the job was completed. When I spoke to the client he didn't even mention making a compliant or being concerned. ***********. Thank you though for the chance to work for you
