I contacted continental imports on 07/28/2021 and advised them that my car needed an engine and the dealership that it was at refused to put a used engine in there. I advised them that my extended warranty only covers a used engine since cars year is 2008 I was told at that time by the employee Jason that they were able to put in a used engine and that I can have my car towed there. I had my car moved to them 07/29/2021 I was told to give them a week to get started due to them being backed up on work. That week turned into months every week I called to get an update they said that they were going back and forth with the warranty company trying to figure numbers I asked will it be done by Sept 22 because I was trying to give the car to my daughter for her bday. They said they will try fast forward October still no updates on the repair I then called the warranty company myself and asked what was the delay. The warranty company then informed me that there was no claim filed at all with continental according to them my car was still at the other repair place I called continental back a claim was finally filed mid oct after the warranty company approved the engine being repaired I was told I had to come out of pocket an additional 4000 dollars for other repairs for leaks and tires I asked for a breakdown they refused I asked can they just install engine like i req they refused. I stated well then Im not paying an additional 4000 more to what the warranty is paying ill just get my car they then told me I have to pay 600 dollars before they release my car because they looked at it so now my car is being held hostage. I signed nothing agreeing to pay anything I already told them what the car needed so it was no point of a diagnostic. They are now saying the car came ripped apart but this was never mentioned months ago and they have no proof or pics they just came up with a crazy amount with no work being done at all. I just my car back after being lied to for months
