1 starYup, definite scam, and I fell for it. Same scenario as others have described. Two people came into my business misrepresenting themselves as PECO and claiming that they can lock me in at a fixed rate for 3 years. It wasnt until the contract was signed that I realized they are a third party and they changed my energy supplier. I have tried multiple times to cancel within my recission period as outlined in the contract, by reaching out to the energy company. They have no record of my account. When I try to contact *** it goes straight to voicemail and messages have not been returned. I will be filing a complaint with the ***Review fromAdam R

1 starI am Highly concerned... I just had this same person enter my place of business in ** on 4/9/25... Same name, same pitch. But in this previous review it says they were terminated.... the review included below. 1 star ****** L Date: 10/07/2024 10/4 at 3:17 ****** Giacornucci came into our business while we were open to the public and had several customers in our business. She introduced herself as "I work for the utility company" to one of our employees and asked him for our energy bill. She had no ID around her neck - nothing identifying her as working for PSE&G, our utility company. She proceeded to say she must look at our utility bill because we were in default. She was saying this loudly to me in the middle of our business so everyone could here, and I noticed after the encounter that she emphasized the word "default" every time she was talking about what our default energy rate it. Thanks for making our customers think we were in DEFAULT on our utilities...We asked her for her ID and she presented her badge from inside her folio for ***. We then told her that she needed to leave after we took a picture of her badge. The only way we actually got her to leave was telling her we would reach out with our energy bill, however we were one step away from advising her we would call the police. This company uses sales tactics that blatantly misrepresent and also are designed to attempt to force you into providing them your bill because a) you either believe they are with the utility or b) it is the only way to get them to leave. I have never left a review like this before, but this was such grotesque misrepresentation by a company using terrible tactics that will unfortunately work on some people.Stay away!United Energy Services Date: 10/29/2024 This behavior is unacceptable and the representative has been terminated.Review fromRuoyu L

1 starCame to my store in Feb, 25. I declined any type of service. April 2, 25 notice from *** stating my supplier has changed to Direct Energy Business. Okay, I contact Direct Energy Business they send me document stating there's a contract signed by E-sign from me. But, here comes the surprise. The E-sign didnt include any email address in the document but manages to have an E-sign stating from me. I have opened a case in Direct Energy Business and Public utility comission let see if we can get the company fined for wrongdoing and arrest the salesman for forging documents.Review fromjamal C

1 star****** ******** of United Energy Services showed up in person to our Business Location stating she "was sent here to make sure" that our energy costs did not increase because some businesses have incorrectly increased. She insisted on viewing my latest bills. I tried to get her to admit that she was a supplier and she kept repeating that she "was sent here to make sure": as if she were protecting me.This is a supplier. Her business card even says "Authorized Energy Consultant".I'm posting this here to WARN YOU that she has NOT been sent by anyone and should NOT show up in person to bug you . You can go yourself to ********************************************** and DO THIS TASK YOURSELF. Do not give in to these representatives who are essentially lying to you to get in your door. Her point was to sign me up with HER supplier. But you can pick your own supplier on line with the state of ****. I'm SO UPSET that she showed up here in person with her lie that she was sent here. What TRASH. She should be ashamed for approaching her job with lies.Review fromRocco J

A *** salesman came into our office this morning stating he needed to follow up on an item on our **** ****. I recognized him the instant he walked in the door, because about a year ago the same guy came in and did the same pitch. I told him that day that I was in no way interested, and made sure to not even say the word "yes" much less show him my bill. He was still able to switch my provider at that time, somehow, and it took a couple months to sort out. So today, I made sure to not be nice in any way. I asked him to leave immediately. He said he had to let me here his notice. I asked if he worked for **** (our energy provider) and he said, "I work WITH ****." (As others have noted, he was not wearing ID or company logos of any kind.) I pointed to the "NO SOLICITING" sign on the door and asked him to leave again. He declined to do so and continued speak to me in a very smug manner. So I dialed 911 on speaker phone in hopes this would scare him away. He still stood there staring at me and telling me it's a shame I'm wasting the police's time because he's not leaving until he makes sure I hear his pitch. Even after police were dispatched, he persisted and proceeded with his script. When he got me to the point of yelling at him and trying to sick my dog on him, he finally left - asking me "what's wrong with you" and telling me he feels sorry for me. He sat in his car outside the office for a moment, but as soon as I came out to take a picture of his license plate he sped off with great haste. I've had many of these energy choice types come in over the years, but this was a new level of harassment. Truly unbelievable. I assumed this kid was just trying to be a cowboy or something, but reading some of these other reviews - it seems more like *** just teaches their employees to make hard sales no matter what. Appalling.United Energy Services

Our sales ***resentative was definitely wearing a *** badge and made the customer aware he was a ***resentative of ***. The *** proceeded to conduct his sales pitch, the owner seemed very irritated and then threatened to call the police. At that point ******** left the business. The sales *** is a highly capable individual and always treats customers with respect. The reason he remained outside the business after being asked to leave was that he was speaking with his supervisor, asking for guidance on whether to stay or leave. He was not trying to cause any trouble, just uncertain about the next steps.T. K.

Just about every bit of this response from the business is patently untrue. The representative had no identification visible whatsoever. He was wearing a black LL Bean jacket, zipper up the entire time. (I have this on camera.) He did say he was a representative of ***, otherwise I would not have known the business name to file a complaint about. So that's a weird fact to throw in there. But I could tell you I work for the ***, but that doesn't make it true. And without ID, it doesn't mean much. The owner was not present, but I (the manager) told "********" immediately upon his entering with a clipboard in hand that I was not interested in anything he was selling. (As noted in my complaint.) Events played out as described in my complaint. "********" did NOT leave the business after I threatened to call the police. He called my bluff, so I followed through and called the police while he stared at me the whole time. (As noted in my complaint.) I called 911 approximately ***** seconds after he entered my office and he remained there for 4+ minutes from the time he entered. I have this on security camera footage. Also, he must be a quick dialer of his phone if he was "speaking with his supervisor" in the parking lot. Because when he finally left the office, I walked out seconds after he sat down in his car so I could take a picture of his license plate and he IMMEDIATELY attempted to speed away. (Which almost resulted in him pulling right in front of an oncoming garbage truck. Also on camera.) He was absolutely trying to cause trouble. I'm not sure why, it didn't make much sense. No means no. All he had to do is leave when I told him I wasn't interested and said no thank you. Instead he had to flex. And then, apparently, lie to his supervisors when they questioned him about it as well. Which, again, is a weird flex in a day and age where virtually every building in town has security cameras, no? The company has been supplied with this camera footage. Hopefully lessons about sales tactics and employee ethics are learned. But I'm not holding my breath.Review fromConnor S
