Event Tickets Center is a trusted resale marketplace that has been providing fans with access to tickets for their favorite events for over 20 years. Our reputation is built on offering a safe, secure, and seamless ticket-buying experience, with an extensive selection of tickets for events across North America, including high-demand and sold-out shows.
Tickets listed on our platform reflect the dynamic nature of the secondary market, where prices are determined by supply and demand. Importantly, over 35% of resale tickets for sports (MLB, NBA, NFL and NHL) are sold below the original face value set by primary sellers, offering customers opportunities for great deals.
We are committed to transparency: every page on our website clearly states, “Resale marketplace, prices may be above face value,” so that buyers can make informed purchasing decisions. We do not make any claims to be the official venue or box office for the tickets we list. Our goal is to provide a straightforward ticket-buying process, without the need for presale codes, lotteries, or long queues, ensuring a hassle-free experience for our customers.
Ticket delivery dates are determined by the primary ticket providers, such as TicketMaster, and may be delayed until a few days before the event. Dishonestly represent themselves as official ticket sellers for venue events, like Simone Biles tour for my daughter. Manipulate google results to appear as the official (first) link to such events. They don't even sell actual tickets - their purchase receipt has no seat numbers! Later on, a ticketmaster transfer request will show up in email - offering transfer of tickets from an unnamed party, with no recourse for any issues of fraud related to initial ticket purchaser. Ticketmaster specifically warns in their FAQ: "We may cancel transferred tickets, at any time, if we determine that they were obtained fraudulently or otherwise in violation of our policies; therefore, it is important that you know and trust the individual transferring tickets to you before accepting them."Business response

We are a resale site and post this fact at the top of every page on our site. Our Advertisements don't contain any language insinuating we are the official box office or venue for the event.
The party isn't unnamed. In the pictures attached there is an email address from the person who transferred the tickets. We list the section and the row that the tickets are in, and in the transfer email shared the tickets are in row E and lists the seat numbers. The suggestion that the transfer notice provides an e-mail address or name of the party offering the transfer is completely untrue. Verbatim cut and paste from the ticketmaster e-mail:

A dash "-" sent me tickets. A dash is not a known party according to TicketMaster policy guidance. There is no other identifying information present. I am not accepting tickets from an unknown party, because TicketMaster explicitly warns against doing that.Regards,

I understand that you're having some hesitation about the transfer, but there are thousands of transfers a day from people who buy third party tickets and transfer them across may planforms, including Ticketmaster. The tickets were bought, and the tickets were transferred in the exact same section and row as ordered. There is no issue here, the order was fulfilled exactly as purchased.Customer response

Nothing you have provided changes the reality of operating a business model where you attempt to satisfy customer orders with anonymous transfer requests through TicketMaster, exposing customers to fraud, providing no details about the initial purchase, and guaranteeing customers no recourse, other than to blindly trust “you’ll make it right”.
Ticketmaster explicitly warns against the actions you encourage in their online FAQ. Good luck to any customers trusting your instructions to violate TicketMaster’s guidance.

On a call with the client on 9/26, the client stated they received 2 emails from Ticketmaster stating that the transfer was completed. Also according to our records, the client didn't reach us again after the event day. Our CSR rep said during that same call that if they were still having trouble with the tickets they could call back. As far as we were aware, the customer was all setBusiness response

These guys are scam artists. They pay Google to front end their website so that it appears they are the original ticket seller. Actually they are scamming unaware people into buying then they double the price and buy from the actual source. This website deceptively markets towards individuals looking for tickets for upcoming shows. I was charged 90$ for tickets that are 30$ on the main website plus an additional service fee on top of that. They put tickets are running out despite the tickets not being on sale yet! Ive also seen many reports that peoples tickets are not accepted since the tickets will not be in my name. This company is taking advantage of us buyers, Im attempting to get a refund but there has to be some sort of liability held towards them.Business response

I purchased concert tickets from Events Ticket Center and was charged nearly 300% over the face value. They added $65 in fees and $10 for online delivery, despite their online deliver incurring no notable costs to them. The total cost was unjustifiably inflated, including the asking price as well as the service fees.They claimed to be offering a refund, yet no refund has been processed. There is no clearer way to identify fraud than when they don't even fulfil their promises.I demand a full refund for this excessive and unreasonable overcharge. As a secondary marketplace, we don't own or price the tickets on our site, the prices are set by the seller - we outline this at the top of every page on our site. First, money moves at the speed of light. Every minute that goes by without a refund is a minute that I've been defrauded.
Second, failing to put a notice "front and center" regarding your resale of products lays bare your inherently dishonest and predatory practices.Third, your service fees are gratuitous, are untethered from any overhead incurred as a part of this transaction, and are thus also evidence of a predatory business practice.
I reject any written overtures that this is done and settled. This is far from done and far from settled.

It is abundantly clear that this business is engaging in bad faith business practices. You don't earn a 1.15 BBB review rating by being an honest broker. Every single 1-star review says the same thing.
Flatly, these people are predators.
I'm still irate. This is not how I do business. In addition, I cannot control how quickly money is transferred either, and since my refund has yet to arrive, I'm reporting you to the relevant authorities. Additionally, even IF the refund for their gratuitously exorbitant service prices is transferred in good faith, I'm still out well over double face value on these tickets.
Thus, I reject their resolution and am amplifying my attempts at a resolution by inviting the police to investigate this company. Perhaps when an investigation into their predatory business practices is initiated, they'll rethink the way they're treating their customers.Regards,

Shouldn't they get a bad grade unless they can PROVE they sent me a refund?

Well, as an individual trained in data science, there seems to be a clear disconnect between how consumers are objectively rating this organization and how your algorithm rates them. This seemingly undermines both your algorithm and the data you choose to feed it, or perhaps more pointedly, the data you choose to ignore.
Consumers rating this at as close to zero as possible and you rating them with an "A" indicates I cannot trust you, or your ratings.

I have a complaint in line with all the others! I requested a cancellation on processing my order NOT A REFUND cancel an in progress order which the policy their customer service likes to reference doesnt address! Like many others I was redirected here from the venue site center stage rather it was an ad or not I did realize they were resellers which Im fine with, fees come with this also fine with! What was not expressed prior to purchase is that tickets would not be in hand at the closing of purchasing! And as Ive read here on the BBB this runs the risk of you being turned a way at the venue! A risk Im not willing to take and I would no longer wish to do business with this company! My account was used on the event ticket center website. I called as instructed to see what was purchased and for what dates. I filed a dispute with my bank in which they were required to respond but would not provide any details on the response. I was advised the tickets could not be cancelled but the tickets also did not have my name on them which should automatically be a red flag. I called approximately four times to have this resolved and received nothing. I googled the website and there are hundreds of complaints about this company and some similar to mine.Customer response

I went to the ***************************** Fair website to purchase a ticket for the ***************************/ *************************************** show at the upcoming County Fair. I was immediately directed to a website called "Event Tickets Center". Somehow this fraudulent vendor hacked into the Fair web page. Their site says that the show was sold out and the only way to purchase tickets is through their reselling service. They charge almost twice the face value of the ticket and then add on a huge service charge. They refuse to refund my money which shows that they are running a scam. Scalpers like this need to be stopped. Hopefully this complaint and the BBB will shake them up a bit.Business response

When I go to an event web page and a link comes up for "Events Tockets" I have to believe I'm on the right page. When the vendor says that tickets are "sold out" or " almost sold out" and only premium priced tickets are available, I trusted Events Tickets to be truthful and legitimate. Boy did they have me fooled! I have been in in contact with the box office for the event I wanted and they have nothing to do with Event Tickets Center. AND, there are plenty of general admission tickets still available. I now want a full refund. I'd also like to see Events Tickets Center investigated.
