    I bought a supposedly good running tested mx-13 engine with ******* miles . we got it here and from the outside the engine looked great . when we went to install we noticed some metal in filter housing . after getting the engine lifted up of the crate we noticed the oil pan had been patched. then we took the pan off and looked internals the bearing were not great but ok then looked at the cam and two lobes are completely destroyed . two lifters looks like they came apart and tore up the cam and block where lifters are held in . I had to rebuild a supposedly running engine . I can't even get anyone to call me back . I have sent it to the warranty email sight (no response). they want put me through to the owner, who gladly got on the phone to tell me what a great engine he had for me to purchase. so I'm ****** in parts to get this engine running.

    Engine was run tested here at our establishment. We have the engine test run report along with test inspections pictures and video of the unit running. We would be glad to provide if needed. Im not sure how the engine went from running to not running in just the transportation. Please let us know if we need to provide these reports.

    Sold me a defective part that did not work it they said it was a good working part but it did not work. I bought a brand new pump from the dealer and the engine started right up.

    This part was sold with no warranty as described on the Invoice. We would be glad to swap it out for another one even though its not covered under our warranty. The only issue we have here is that the customer filled a chargeback on his CC so at this time we have to let the bank and processor finish their work before we move forward with anything.

    I dont mind a replacement the only thing with that is that I no longer need a high pressure fuel pump. I wouldnt want to buy another used pump again because I cant take the chance of it not working because the mechanic charges if it works or not. But if they would do a store credit that would work for me.

    June 29 2023 i purchased a engine from JJ rebuilders and had it delivered to me I paid $8962 dollars for the engine i been trying to get in touch with JJ rebuilders since August 18 2023 keep telling me that they are going to call me back and email me back with the engine running and **** is out of the office or he is in a meeting no response i am losing money for the engine not working and my vehicle is just sitting there i been waiting patiently for this company to help me but they are not responding i just can't keep losing money every day

    To whom it may concern, This engine was sold as a used unit. This was not sold as a rebuilt or new engine. The engine again was sold as a used unit with 30 day block and crank warranty. This customer is claiming the engine has oil leaks unfortunately we do not cover oil leaks under our used engine warranty policy.

    This engine as sold to the customer is a running unit. He has not even installed the motor. I have spoken with the customers mechanic and he told me he hasn't installed engine. I have advised them to proceed with the install and once installed he will see the engine is in functioning condition. First step is to install the motor not automatically assume it doesn't run.  The engine is over 20 years old and is used. There are going to be a **************** on a 20 year old steel engine exposed metal rusts.

    Not to go through all of this rigamole that this company is doing all that JJ rebuilders has to do is to send me out another diesel engine and i will send the engine back to JJ rebuilders i tried of losing money every day the bus is just sitting there

    As previously stated there is nothing wrong with this engine. This is a used engine and we dont warranty the cosmetics of the engine. We warranty the block and the crank as described in the purchase invoice and the warranty terms given to you at the time of the sale. At this point we recommend you install the engine and get your truck back on the road. There is nothing mechanically wrong with the engine as previously stated.

    at this point I have now stated my case over and over to both the BBB and the customer. This was a used engine with a 30 day block and crank warranty. The engine is good install it and run the truck.We do not warranty engine on cosmetics.

    We purchased a used engine (advertised as being checked and repaired) from the mentioned company back on 01/09/2023. Since our purchase there has been a number of issues that have resulted in additional out of pocket expenses. I have reached out to the shop multiple times with no answer. They say **** (the owner) will call me back and never does. I sent an email requesting a refund of $4000 as this will be only a part of what it would cost for some immediate repairs and they said they will send a mechanic to look at my truck. When I said OK he hung up without telling me what time or asking for the address. Upon reviewing their ****** reviews it seems this is a common practice for this shop to sell bad equipment and not honor their warranty. I will be happy to forward all emails upon request.

    To whom it may concern. All of our used engines bring a 30 day block and crank warranty. This customer came to our office and showed us a video of the engine running in the truck. The turbo showed signs of oil on it.  We do not warranty turbos, but we went ahead and gave the customer a replacement turbo at no cost. The customer then called us stating that the turbo we gave him was no good and told us they put back the turbo that was on the engine originally. The customers mechanic at this point stated that the engine was running, but it could last a week or a month. I don't understand how this customers mechanic can come to this conclusion. The customer then requested we give them $4000.00 that they would be satisfied with this. This request in my opinion is up surd. At that point we advised them that we would like to send out one of our techs to evaluate this situation. Then this person goes on BBB the exact same day and says we do not want to assist with the matter. She hasn't even given us a chance to go out to their location. But I guess this customer believes that by going on the ******************** we are going to feel pressured to make a decision in their favor without a proper evaluation.

    purchased date 6-24-22 engine received 7-21-22..date. We notified ************** about engine not working and he asked for a video of engine which mechanic complied **** (owner) said the video was not clear and he did not see any problem with his engine.. He said he would find a mechanic for a secong opinion which never happened.. We took to other mechanic and same diagnostic.. which we send to JJ Rebuilders via email. We have contacted via email, text, whats app and face book but nothing is returned. The purchase price was $20,000 plus mechanic fees already acrued.

    I purchased a ***4 from JJ Rebuilders. This is a $750.00 part new. Due to fact that these parts are on the national back order list they charged me $7000.00 for this part so I was grossly over charged. I had the unit shipped to the Freightliner shop my truck is at in *************. The Technician programmed the *** to the truck and it failed, there were several codes. We contacted JJ rebuilders and paid for shipping to have the *** returned to them for warranty. JJ rebuilders tested the *** and sent the same *** back to Freightliner despite the promise of replacing it with a new one. The tech again programed the *** and it again failed. I spoke with a **** at JJ rebuilders and he refuses to refund my money as I requested after being sent the same faulty *** unit twice. I would like unfair problem resolved. There is no way I should spent 10 times the amount of new part only to be sent a faulty part that I can not use.

    To whom it may concern. We sold this customer a *** Unit on 4/18/22 invoice ***** unit was shipped to customer via ***** next day delivery on 4/19/22 tracking # for the shipment ************ delivered and signed for by customer mechanic shop on 4/20/22. We were contact on 4/21/22 that the unit was not taking the program. Customer shipped it back to us and we exchanged it out for a different unit. Before sending unit we connected to unit and recorded the serial # to the *** unit that was being sent out as a replacement and checked it for any possible faults and unit checked out in good working order. We are willing if needed to provide this for verification of our side of the story. The replacement unit was shipped out via ***** on 5/10/22 tracking # ************ received by them on 5/12/22. The fact the customer says that we sent the same unit back to him, is easily proven as a false statement, as each *** unit has a unique vin and serial number attached to them. We have asked the customer to provide a report of the second *** failure for review and all we got from customer was a bunch of foul, insulting and derogatory remarks at which point I instructed my customer service representative to very politely hang up the phone on him. This part is an electronic part of a vehicle and if customers truck is short circuiting the units, he may need to check into what is causing this issue.
