I was approached by a girl at a kiosk selling hair styling products when I was at the ************** in ********* on February 16, 2024. She was a little pushy about demonstrating a hair styling device that she claims is not a flat iron even though it looks like one. She straightened my hair on one side and curled my hair on the other side. After the demonstration, I can see my hair was perfectly straight or had nice tight curls with no frizz.I decided to purchase what I now know IS a flat iron but it is nothing like the one the girl used in her demonstration. The flat iron I was sold snags my hair and does not curl or straighten my hair like the flat iron used on my hair at the mall. It also made my hair frizzy after using it.I should have suspected something when the girl got all excited about the fact that I do not go to the mall often. After doing some research, it is apparent these kiosks from Straight Ahead preys on people they do not think will or can return to the mall to complain about their purchase. The girl was also reluctant to say they do returns/refunds after I made my purchase. I also found out through my research the my do returns/refunds if consumers are not happy with their flat irons. This business preys on out-of-towners or consumers who are not frequent mall visitors and scams consumers with their bait and switch business practices.

I bought this product and have attempted to use it multiple times to either straighten or somewhat curl my hair like how it was demonstrated at the mall for me but it just wont do anything and they said that it was not going to burn my hair because it was infrared and it has burned my hair and pulled my hair out. Would like my money back seeing as this is the same product that they were using on me even though it worked the same

On January 15, 2023, I was in *********************** in ******** and was approached by a sales man regarding a hair straightening tool by a company Straight Ahead Beauty. The flat iron used on my hair at the mall, as the salesperson ***** explained was infrared. This is what makes your hair soft and silky. So evidently when you go to pick a color out thinking you are getting that particular flat iron, it is not the same. The flat iron sold to me is a bionic ceramic plate. However, the salesperson told me he was selling me the one he used on my hair, which is what I thought I was getting. Basically, it is a scam, as the flat iron I purchased is not what was demonstrated on my hair. The flat iron pulls my hair, and will not straighten or curl my hair. I should have been aware of the potential scam as the salesperson started off at $300, then $189, then $129, and finally $89. I spent $95 on a flat iron I could have purchased for $20 from ******** I would like my money refunded, as I did not receive the flat iron used to demonstrate the product on my hair. The flat iron I have pulls my hair and will not straighten or curl my hair.

On November 25th, I purchased a hair care serum for $130 and received a free hair dryer. On the 27th, I used the serum and had a reaction that caused my scalp to itch. I decided to return the product on November 28th and was told I could not do so because the bottle was open. The girl I worked with told me i'd I had any problems to let her know and highlighted 2 non working phone numbers. When I explained to her that I had no idea I would have an allergic reaction and should have told me, she said there was nothing she could do and proceeded to point out the 2 highlighted numbers again on my receipt that do not work. I am greeted my an automated ******* wireless message saying the numbers have been disconnected. I tried to contact the main number on the straight ahead website, but the number is for the manufacturer warranties. The total amount was $142.01 and I would like to be in contact with someone that could refund me for the product I can't use.

Bought a pro glider 2.0 for over $200 doesnt work at all as advertised. This is a scam and have heard other people having same issue. You should not have vendors selling scams of your products. Was told this was a curling iron it is a straightener.

I was approached in the mall by a lady advertising infrared Flat iron. She asked to show me on my hair. It was great and worked very well. She said the cost was over $300 but today a special rate of $169 for the infrared flat iron. I agreed and purchased. Then they said lets fix the curls we made and they start selling me more products. Offered to sell 2 hair serums and I would get another infrared Flat iron and Flat brush blow dryer- Infrared for free. It was supposed to be ***** for each serum. I ended up spending $500 after the added on lifetime warranty purchase. I felt like this may be a scam, but its infrared and healthy for my hair. I got home and the irons she gave me were Ceramic flat irons- NOT what I paid for, and the blow dries is a flat brush on the end and not any Infrared involved. I have expensive Chi Ceramic Irons, I dont need this c*** and it was NOT What I bought or what what demonstrated on my hair! I feel robbed and I bought all the warranties for products not given to me! I want what I bought or a refund! Im going back to the mall tomorrow for resolution! Or this business needs to contact me ASAP and send me the correct product! You cant scam people like this and I am reporting the business to the mall and ****************** **!

On 9/12/2022 I was at ************** in ********* ********* and talked into buying a straightener from Straight Ahead Beauty. I got home and used it and it does not make my hair look or feel the way the straightener they used on me did. It also was sold to me as a steam straightener to dry your hair and the owners manual says to not use it on wet hair. I spent 218.49$ . I have called the numbers provided on the receipt but not been able to reach the business. I would like a full refund.

I went to the mall in *********, **, I just wanted a sample when she asked but the employee began doing my hair. She would stop and sell me products. They worked well on my hair when she used them but not that home they are clearly not the same. The straightener does not work how she said it would and has harmed my hair after one use. The serum I bought does not make my hair soft and shiny like the one she used, and it ***** my eyes if it even gets near them.

Thank you! I actually was given the owners number and he did refund me. He even let me keep the product even though it was not up to my standards
