My family will be traveling out of the country in a few months. I found out my wife and I need international driver's permits to drive the rental car. I did a quick online search and found an organization that looked legit, International Automobile Association **** On 2/2/25 I filled out the online information, sent them copies of mine and my wife's driver's licenses, and ID pics of both of us. We put the charge for the 2 licenses on my wife's credit card. I received document booklets in the mail on 2/13/25. They looked legit at first; but then I started doing some research and found out the documents will not be accepted by foreign police. Only AAA international driver's permit is recognized by the US ***** of State. And the info I sent them could be used for identity theft. Supposedly the company has a refund policy if you send the documents back within 7 days, but I am not sure if that is legit either. If I send them back I have nothing for evidence against them. I realize I probably won't back get the $39.99 + tax each that we spent on the licenses. But I do want to make sure that mine and my wife's identities are safe. What should I do next to make sure our identities aren't used to open new accounts and other bad stuff?

I spent $94 for what was advertised as an International Driver's Permit, an "IDP", which you can see from the sponsored internet search result that says IDP. The screenshot from the website also says IDP. ************* shows what I actually received, which is labeled an "International Driving Document". This is an utterly useless thing. You need an IDP and this document is not acceptable. The next photo is what actually works, a real IDP from AAA. I need to be refunded and I need to make sure that these people do not have any of my personal information if they are scam artists.

I applied online for an international drivers license at this web address: *******************************************************************. I filled out the application on September 6th and received a receipt and account number via email. I was supposed to receive a tracking number and never did. I never received my license. I called 3 times during business hours and left a message and never received a call back. I then checked the BBB website and see that I am not the only one who has had problems with this company. I would like a refund since it is too late to receive the license before I need it. My communications with the company are attached.

On April 17, I applied for two international drivers licenses through International Automobile Association ************************************************************************* Call ** : *************** Visit our website: www.international-permit.com *********** is for myself (*************************) and one for my husband (***************************). Their website forced me to pay two shipping charges of $35, although I notified them via email to send to one address in one envelope, which they did. I asked for only one $35 charge on April 19 and they replied via email "Received." I have written twice since then asking to be reimbursed for the second $35 charge, but they have not responded.I wish to be reimbursed $35 for one shipping fee. This was charged to my credit card. Thank you,************************* and ***************************

International Automobile Association pretends to offer translations of drivers license into 22 languages. They also pretend that "Our IDP is a legal requirement to drive or rent a car in foreign countries."There are 2 complaints I'm filing:1. The translation is incorrect. I have a German driver's license which the company was ****************** for a fee. However, the document that they provided to me did not have a translation of my license, but a generic translation for any license. Additionally, it was incorrect for a German drivers license, since the fields that were "translated" in their documents do not match with the standard fields in a German drivers license. Additionaly, without translating my specific license the document is invalid. The document is provided as an attachement to this complaint: 2023.03.international.drivers.document.incorrect.translation.jpg The claim on their website that they translate the license is ***********************************.drivers.document.incorrect.translation.claim.png 2. Their claim that "Our IDP is a legal requirement to drive or rent a car in foreign countries." (taken from their website *********************************************** on March 04th 2023, 07:32:58pm PST) is false. After researching I realized that their organization is in fact NOT recognized and their translations are NOT recognized either. The correct path for a German drivers license in the US is to go to the German embassy. Other services are fraudulent. Two screenshots are provided as an attachement to this complaint:2023.03.international.drivers.document.incorrect.translation.claim.png and 2023.03.international.drivers.document.incorrect.claim.png
