Received a notice in the mail from Parking & Transportation Compliance Inc, out of ************. It states our car was parked in lot at ******************************************************************, on 09/06/2024. They have a picture of a car with Minnesota license plates. We have not been in ********* in the past ten years. The car in the picture is not ours and we do not have the license plate number. Although, I believe we did have that number in the past. The notice states, if we do not pay it, they will send it to collections. There's not an option to call. Only a web site if I have a complaint. The way the notice is written, I feel it's a scam and do not feel comfortable filing a dispute through there web page.

We are sorry that you received a Notice of Non-Compliance for plate KNZ101 (MN) for the unpaid parking session on Sep 9, 2024 at the garage located at ********************************************************************  PTC recently added a new service provider who supplies the registered owners of vehicles and some misinformation was passed resulting in several incorrect notices being mailed.  We have cancelled this notice and no further action is required.  Thank you for making us aware.

PTC provides enforcement services to the owners/operators of parking facilities, nationwide using license plate reading cameras and matching that to the payment vendors' data we collect which identifies unpaid or short-paid parking sessions.  We then utilize the services of providers who supply contact information of the vehicles' registered owners to mail the Notices of Non-Compliance.  The Notice does contain information to dispute the Notice, as well as a toll-free number to either make payment, learn out to initiate a dispute, or contact a customer service agent.

We hope this information is helpful to anyone who receives a Notice from PTC and help understand who we are and our relationship with parking facilities.

Thank you for reaching out about Notice *********** issued for insufficient payment related to a parking session on August 10, 2024 between 8:53pm - 11:53pm (3 hours).  We do show a payment which covered the hours of 11:52pm - 1:52a (2hours), purchased one minute prior to the parking session end time.

As posted in the parking facility, payment is due in advance for parking and for the full period of time using the parking facility.  If you have a receipt for the period of time covering the entire parking period, please let us know so we can assist with reviewing this Notice.  This information was also provided when an online dispute was made by ***************** on Sep 3 at 4:20pm and a response was sent on Sep 4 at 7:04am ET.  The **************** team can be reached using the toll-free number included on the Notice.

P&TC provides parking enforcement to owners/operators of parking facilities nationwide, using license plate reader cameras and gathering the data from the various payment vendors in these privately operated facilities.  The operators utilize our touchless enforcement service to minimize the need to tow/boot vehicles, which can damage vehicles, leaves the driver without the use of their vehicle, and is typically much more costly than the fee assessed in our Notice.

We hope this provides the information needed to understand why the Notice was issued and to help avoid any future Notices.

hello - i am writing this on behalf of my wife who has been receiving notices in the mail for the last few months claiming that her car was in a parking lot at ****************************************** 2 times: notice number *********** entry time 5/15/24 8:17pm exit time5/16/24 4:18am and *********** entry time 6/8/24 4:59pm exit time 6/8/24 5:38pm. not only was her car not there (we also don't live anywhere near there), but we are older and don't even go out until 4:18am! mainly, though, the photo they provided that supposedly has the cars license plate ********* shows a completely different model of car and even a different color. i called their office today and talked to a woman who advised i would have to submit an 'appeal'. i thought i could simply end this on the phone since it is obviously not correct. i do not feel i should have to spend any more time on this issue, and thanks to repeated letters being received that threaten to send this matter to collections, i feel we are being harrassed (out of the blue). can you help? thank you!

An email with greater detail about this situation has been shared with the complainant and we are awaiting his response in order to resolve this issue.  We are sharing a piece of that communication here for awareness:

PTC provides enforcement services to parking facilities nationwide using license plate reading cameras.  We do not own/manage parking facilities, nor do we get involved in the actual parking session; our service is based on data we receive after the parking session is completed.  We match the camera information with the payment information we gather from the various payment vendors of the facility and obtain the registered owner of the plate from the ***/RMV.  We see that this plate/vehicle has used this particular parking facility nine times between May and June, with two of those parking sessions showing as unpaid, which is why the Notices were produced.

We are awaiting confirmation that the vehicle identified by the *** is not currently registered to the complainant or his wife. We have advised, since the *** data is reflecting her information, they may want to check with the *** to correct this bad information, otherwise, future unpaid parking sessions could result in additional Notices being mailed.

We look forward to resolving this item shortly.  Thank you.

Communication with the customer through direct email conversation has identified that the plate was misread ("O" mistaken for "0") and both notices have been waived.  We appreciate the assistance and information provided by the consumer and apologize for the error.  While technology provides efficiencies, there are times when something doesn't go quite right, and we were able to resolve this with additional information provided by the customer.  Thank you.

I was parked at *********** and renewed my parking when I received notice that it was about to expire. I paid for parking twice for a total of one hour. When I went back to my vehicle there was a parking violation ticket on my windshield. As you can see per the notice time and my parking expiration time I was not in violation. I have tried contacting the company but their contact is misleading as it only demands payment and there is no contact information to dispute the charge. I am attaching a copy of the bill and a screenshot of my parking showing I still had time left on my parking.

Thank you for the opportunity help clear up any confusion regarding a parking session related to the Notice issued by PTC on July 19, 2024, at our client located at *****************************************  PTC provides enforcement services to parking owners and operators nationwide.  This location is enforced with onsite enforcers who are able to view the payment application the client uses for the parking public while monitoring the parking facility.

At the time the Notice was issued, it appears that any time that was originally purchased had already expired, which is evident by the receipt attached, showing 15 minutes of parking time was purchased for the period of 12:18pm to 12:33pm.  The Notice was issued at 12:09pm, with no active paid parking session recorded.

If you have the receipt for time that covers prior to 12:18pm, please go to the payment portal on the Notice, initiate a Dispute and include the original receipt.  With that information we will be able to review the time that was paid and validate that the parking session was paid in total for the time used.  You may still be entitled to a waiver.

We hope this helps to resolve this concern.

I recieved a bill from Oxygen XL for a ************************************************* violation with no detail at all as to when or where this occurred and I am not aware of any charges I have outstanding. I've tried numerous times to call them and request the name of the original creditor and also tried their online portal to do the same. It just spins and spins and the transaction doesn't go through. Nobody human answers the phone. Thus far I've gotten no detail as to what this "collection" is for. The invoice references Parking & Transportation Compliance Inc and when I call them directly, there is no way to get a human on the phone. They simply say what you "owe" and give you a prompt to enter your credit card. There is no way you are able to find any information on what or where the charge is from. This feels like a scam.

Hello ****, thanks for reaching out to Parking & Transportation Compliance regarding the Notice that was issued for the parking session at ************************************************************** on January 17, 2024, between 6:35pm - 9:16pm.  The original Notice is attached to this response for your reference.  Since there was no response to the three notice letters mailed, it was then referred to our collections partner Oxygen XL.  We reached out to them after receiving this complaint as well.

The original Notice was issued due to an overstay at the parking facility used.  ******** we received from the payment vendor at that parking facility showed that one hour of parking was paid, yet the time that was used in the lot was approximately 2.5hrs.  Signage within the facility identifies that parking must be paid in advance and there is no free parking.

It appears that this is a first-time infraction, therefore, our client allows us to issue a one-time courtesy to waive this Notice.  It is very important that parking sessions are paid for the time used in facility and we hope this provides useful information to avoid any future Notices of Non-Compliance.

I received your $85. Parking Charge Notice yesterday and dispute that I have an outstanding balance.I drove into the parking lot in ZIP code ***** near high noon when the temperature had to be about 90 in an asphalt lot on a bright sunny day with no shade.A "handicap" space was not available, so I parked in a space along the street and walked back uphill to pay at the kiosk. There was no notice near where I parked to have the license plate number available, so I did not know in advance that I would be required to enter it for the receipt. When I discovered that at the kiosk, I entered my best guess and paid $10.I am a senior citizen with handicaps and thus was not up to walk down the hill and back up again four times: (1) my initial trip, (2) another to get the license plate number, (3) a third one to put the receipt with the license plate number on the dashboard where a representative could see it, and (4) a fourth one to walk to my destination.)I should not have assumed that the requirement to put the receipt with the license plate number on the dashboard where a representative could see it meant that s/he would see it and could reconcile any discrepancy. Thanks for your assistance.P.S. I have attempted twice to upload a .jpg file of the receipt by clicking on the "down" arrow below this form on your website, which is next to "Please attach any evidence that *** support your dispute". Both times, a pop-up appears with the message: "Error: Invalid Token Processing File". Please advise another way to upload it to you. Thanks.P.P.S. The "SUBMIT DISPUTE" link does not work. The only telephone number listed on your Parking Charge Notice is an "automated payment line". These make me wonder about the legitimacy of your company -- uploading the .jpg with the BBB worked flawlessly.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint.  PTC provides enforcement services to the owners/operators of parking facilities nationwide.  The license plate reading cameras capture the plate information and match it to the data we collect from the various payment vendors our clients use in their parking facilities.  As you can see from the receipt that you provided and information you mentioned, the license plate number does not match the actual license plate on your vehicle, therefore, a Notice was generated.  We are able to waive this Notice based on the evidence you provided.  Thank you.

You will see an email confirming that you disputed the Notice and we Accepted the dispute.  We apologize for the difficulty in submitting the dispute and we hope this helps to avoid any future Notices when utilizing parking facilities and their payment applications.  Have a pleasant day.

This business is sending what appears to be an attempt to trick you into paying a bill that is not related to me. It is attached a parking bill as a notice type of non-payment, on a date that I was not even in the state of *********, and the car and the license plate is not mine. The fact that it is attached to my name and it is noted is going to collections is fraud. I expect to be contacted and this bill eliminated.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint; we do see that a Dispute has been filed in our system on this Notice.  To help the complainant understand the process and why a Notice was generated, Parking & Transportation Compliance (PTC) provides enforcement services to parking facilities nationwide.  Our license plate camera technology captures vehicles as then enter and exit parking facilities then we match that information with the payment vendor's data.  If there is no payment found or the payment made was insufficient for the parking session, the information is used to gather the registered owner of the plate through DVM data in order to mail the Notice.  If this plate is not registered to the complainant we will certainly waive the non-compliance fee,

This will be processed through our system directly with the complainant.  We hope this information is helpful to understand the relationship between PTC and the parking facility, as well as the process that helps parking facility owner's and operators from towing or booting vehicles by using this touchless method of enforcement.  Thank you.

The local telephone number is not available per ******* so I have nobody to talk to from the company. Thank you for the opportunity to review and respond to this complaint.  After further research, it was found that the driver did make a payment with the payment vendor, though, the plate number was entered incorrectly.  Since this is a technology based system, if the information is not correct, the system will generate a Notice.

The information on the Notice does contain a phone number, which provides the option to reach customer service.  This Notice has been waived and no further action is required.  We hope this information helps to understand the need to review the information used in the payment applications to avoid future issues.

I recieved a "final notice " on paying an outstanding parking violation. This is the first we have heard of it. Apparently we stayed 1 hr over the parking limit and they didn't get their extra 2 -4 dollars. We have given alot of money to this establishment over the years. We park here all the time with no issue. 50 $ charge for accidently staying 1 hr over is not justified. We paid to keep it from going to collections but I would like a refund. This is bad buisness. Again I have paid way more than 50 $ over this past year parking here. I also recommend this parking to my clients in the downtown buisness I manage. Not anymore. Especially if I am not refunded. 1 hr over is not a 50$ punishment. There is also nowhere to file a complaint on the website given. **************** here apparently doesn't exist.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint.  The parking session in question, taking place at the privately owned lot, located at ************************************************************, on May 4th between 4:52p and 7:39p (2 hours and 45 mins) shows a payment for 2 hours of parking.  As is noted on the signage within the lot, there is no free parking and use of the lot requires payment for time spent in the lot.  Overstaying by 45 minutes is much greater than the typical 15 minute grace ****** that is allowed.  We do see that this is the first time that you've received a Notice, therefore, we are able to issue a one-time courtesy credit.  This refund will be processed with 14 - 30 days.

Parking & Transportation Compliance provides enforcement services to parking lot owners/operators across *****************, using license plate reading technology and matches that information with the payment data gathered from the various payment applications the owner/operator chooses for their parking facility.  Since this is technology based, the system generates non-compliance Notices for any parking session that does not meet the requirements for use of the lot.  Like other use of a service companies, there is an expectation of payment for the use of the product/service.  Again, had the owner/operator opted to tow or boot vehicles who were not in compliance, there is a risk of damage to the vehicle, the driver would have loss of use of the vehicle and would need to retrieve the vehicle, as well, the fee to reacquire the vehicle is much greater than the Notice amount.  They choose to use PTC to avoid that hassle and impact to their customers.

The Notice does provide a phone number, with options to speak to a customer service person, and the website provides an option to dispute the Notice if there is proof of payment or evidence that contradicts the data presented.  Please contact the customer service team if you have questions.  We hope this better explains the service that PTC provides and the need to adhere to the rules of any private parking facility which does have signage that explains the expectations for using their parking facility.
