On March 8th, 2024 I parked at a pay parking lot in *****, **. I followed the signage on how to pay and paid $20.45 with my credit card as seen in the attached screen shot from my bank. A week later I received a letter from Parking & transportation compliance, *** demanding $50. They claimed that I didn't pay for parking. I sent them the same screen shot that I am going to attach to this complaint. They said that this was not enough proof. It is the only means that I have to prove that I paid to park that day. Their notice number is ***********. I will comment that the parking lot offered a couple different ways to pay. In good faith I chose one and paid. I want the Parking & transportation compliance, *** to drop the request for the $50. I looked on the internet and countless complaints to the same company. I think they are trying to scam people.

      ****************,

Thank you for contacting us. Your feedback helps improve our processes. We have reviewed your submission and confirmed your payment for the parking notice number: 136 331 561. Although we have received the receipt we cannot verify the duration of your stay. The parking application that would be able to provide a detailed receipt would be ParkMobile. Please reach out to their support in order to obtain the transaction data.

Our team thoroughly reviews details provided before a parking charge notice has been sent. If you happen to have another notice sent to you and feel that you may have received the notice in error, you can dispute the notice by:
      1. Visiting ******************************************
      2. Entering your notice number.
      3. Clicking the link under the license plate image to "Dispute Your Charge".
      4. Submitting the form.

Please allow 72 hours for our team to research and return your request.
Sincerely, Parking & Transportation Compliance Inc

About Parking and Transportation Compliance (P&TC)
Parking and Transportation Compliance (P&TC) provides enforcement services to parking facility owners, managers, and operators nationwide. P&TC collects and compares transient payment data which is then used to identify vehicles that either did not pay or under paid for their parking session. If connectivity to a payment vendor is not usable, for any reason, it is the responsibility of the consumer to utilize other options available within the lot or find an alternate location to park their vehicle. Please refer to the Parking Contract terms displayed at the parking site/facility. If a dispute is submitted and a parking receipt confirming payment is not provided, a Parking Charge Notification will be issued to the vehicle's registered owner.

I am rejecting this response because: The letter that Parking & Transportation, *** clearly shows definitive  proof that I entered the lot  at 1:58 pm and exited the parking lot at 4:07 pm. They provided me with the time I entered and left the parking lot. See attached document that they sent me.

      Sincerely,

I want to make you aware that the business continues to harass me. Here is the latest correspondence from them. I have asked them to communicate through you, and not directly to me. Please ask them to follow the process and arbitrate through the BBB. Thank you for your continued support. ****

      My comment to them:

*****, ** is an 83 mile drive from my house. My wife and I went to the art fair one day on March 8th. Afterwards we went to see ******************* in concert at the ********************. We chose to go to the ***** art show on that date because we were already going to the Phoenix area for the concert on that date. We were not in ***** on March 9th. Again, it's 83 miles from where I live. The fact that the parking app didn't process it until March 9th is their problem, not mine. I am not sure why I am being harassed by your company. I paid in good faith based on the signage to pay that were posted in the parking lot. Your company is wasting a considerable amount of effort to unfairly harass me. As noted previously, I will not be bullied into paying a penalty that I don't owe. As I have opened a case with the better Business bureau, please send all future communications through them. I am keeping a record of all the harassing emails that you are sending me for future reference.

      Their harassing letter to me:

      **************************************,

We found you submitted a response to the BBB about your PCN sent from Parking & Transportation Compliance (P&TC), related to a parking session at **************************************** on March 8th between 1:58pm and 4:07pm.  P&TC provides enforcement of the lot rules for parking facilities around the country, gathering data from onsite cameras and collecting the data from the various payment applications that are available within the parking facility.

As you noted, we do provide detailed information in the photos that are included on the PCN.  The transaction details you provided in your dispute attachment does not match the elements of the transaction data that was captured.  The parking mobile pay app shows a transaction date of March 9th; hence, this is why there was not a payment associated with the parking session.

Do you have a receipt that reflects the actual date of your parking session?  Typically, the receipt shows the date/time/vehicle plate number and location.  Most parking applications allow you to retrieve a copy of the receipt.

Please let us know if you are able to find that receipt so we can take care of this item for you.

      Thank you,

      Customer Service

********************, based on the additional information you provided, we will be waiving this Parking Charge Notice as a one-time-courtesy.  As mentioned in a previous email, Parking & Transportation Compliance receives data from the parking lot cameras and the available payment applications that the lot owners utilize for payment of parking sessions.  The original notice was issued as the data did not provide proof of payment.  The receipt you presented indicates payment was made on a date other than the day of your parking session, which is why the notice was sent.  We understand that systems don't always get it right, therefore, we are waiving this charge.  Thank you.

Parking and Transportation Compliance sent an invoice to me for $50 claiming I did not pay to park and failure to pay the fine will result in me being turned over to collections. I have sent the proof of payment from the app on my phone and my credit card statement. I attached both to this complaint. The company has not responded since I provided proof of payment. I tried to call them and there is no one to answer the phone calls.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this concern.  It appears that the Parking Charge Notice was disputed via the online portal, and after viewing the supporting documentation provided, that dispute was accepted on March 5th.  An email with that notification should have been issued and we apologize if that communication was not received.  Thank you again, and apologies for the late communication.

I received a parking ticket for a parking garage in **********, ** on December 17, 2023. I was not in **********, as I was not even in ************** on December 17, 2023. I was returning home from *******, having arrived in ************** that afternoon from a 7 night cruise. I provided my cruise details to the parking company, but they have not responded to my submission of documents. I would like Parking & Transportation Compliance LLC to cease communications with me and stop trying to collect something that I know nothing about. I am not responsible for this ticket, and I am not going to pay for this ticket. They are now harassing me in the collection of an erroneous item.

I was charged 3 parking tickets for failure to pay when I parked in a free customer ********************** spot. The customer service rep from the ********************** ticket company told me all the spots are paid for and I have to pay no matter where I am parked in the garage. This parking garage shares an apartment complex too. There are a mixture of signs everywhere. Some say 3 hr visitor parking and others have a QR code to pay for parking. I was visiting my friend who lives there and she told me it was fine to park in the visitor parking spot. They only have a picture of me going in and out of the garage on camera. Not parked in a specific spot. So how would they know what spot I parked in if they only have footage of me going in and out. That's why I am disputing this. They charged me ****** and threatened to boot my car or impound it for unpaid tickets. Also collections was threatened. I paid them the fees because I was afraid of their threats. This company is not in my area!!! They're in ** and I am in AZ! I'm super upset. They're not a good company and practically threatened me with taking my car if I didn't pay them.

Hello *****************, we apologize for the tardiness of our response.  It might be helpful to understand that Parking & Transportation Compliance provides enforcement of various parking garages and lots across the U.S..  We obtain data from the cameras located in the parking facility as well as the data from any of the payment applications that the lot/garage owners contract.  We do not own or manage any parking facility.

The owners provide their rules and an array of photos of their signage within their facility.  As you can see from the attached photo, the entrance sign identifies that payment is required within 15 minutes of entering and is photo-enforced 24 hours, seven days a week.  There is no free parking within the garage.

We hope this helps to understand the garage owners' expectations within their facility.

I paid to park on their lot 08/19/2023 and paid $10.45 I have bank statement showing that I paid. I remember getting a email conformation but I deleted the email thinking I would never have to need it again. I got a letter last week saying that on 12/22/2023 I did not pay to be there. I was never even in downtown where the parking lot is the whole month of December. I tried to dispute their claim but they said needed more information like a confirmation email or screenshot of my plate and how much I paid. They said Bank statement would be helpful but won't be enough to dismiss the charge. I told them I will send a check in for the amount that I "owe" being $54.99. On there letter it said if I didn't pay it will go to their collect. If someone can let me know if I should send a check in or resolve my issue. Notice Number *********** Thanks!

On Nov 5th, I parked in a parking garage in ********* run by this out of state company. The only method to pay was via a QR code. After scanning the code, I went through all the steps to make a payment. When I got to the last step (payment confirmation), I received an error message. I rescanned the code to make a second attempt and got the same error message. There is no company phone number listed to call with any issues. A few days ago, I received a fee notice for failure to pay. I disputed the exorbitant amount ($50 fine for an hour of parking in a lot that was only 25% full) twice with the above explanation and was immediately denied with a simple answer of "our system showed no errors". Since there is no phone number, I can't talk to a human and penalizing someone for a faulty payment method from a company based on the other side of the country is a terrible business practice. I feel it is unfair for me to pay a fine when a company uses a faulty system and has no way to contact them if problems arise. I hope I'm not the only one to have brought up this shady business.
