Took my son to Citrus Hospital with a head injury. They didn't do any testing except take his blood pressure. Then Joecelyn ****** said oh we don't need to do any testing we can just glue it up. She went to put the glue on but nearly put something that wasn't for a head injury on him. She caught it and then said oops and put the glue on his head and then we were sent on our way within 20 minutes. Nowhere did it say to follow up after. Sent us a bill for over $5k and my son still has pain in the location of the cut and still has a lump on his head! I feel for $5k he shouldn't have any pain and no lump! When I consulted others about what happened and told them where we went, the responses were "why did you take him to Citrus Hospital, they are the worst. I wouldn't go there if I was dying." That's sad. Then I looked up reviews for this hospital and became appalled by stories coming I found. I will never go back there for anything, Read the reviews on this hospital before deciding on going here. I would rather take my chances driving out to Pasco County than deal with these clowns in Citrus.

I walked into Citrus Memorial Hospital with shattered clavicle, agreed to pay for treatment, yet as soon as they realized I didn't have insurance, I was ushered to the lobby, and basically forgotten about fo almost 2 hours. I required surgery, yet was finally given a pain pill, a shot and told to go find help elsewhere. Last night my 11 year old son broke his arm skating, they gave him an ibuprofen, and let him sit for 8 hours in excruciating pain, before finally being seen. They set his arm, wrapped it in a splint, and sent him out the door, the same as they did me, telling us yo go find help elsewhere, to get a cast put on. It's inhumane the way they treat their patients. Unless you have insurance, they refuse to accept to cash payments, instead they turn their backs, and send you out the door. This is America, this is unacceptable.
