Since June of this year I have been trying to get my air conditioner fixed. They set appointments and then the technicians never show up or conveniently don’t have the parts. The office girl Abby is rude and hangs up when you try to get a resolution to the problem. They have poor business practices and extremely poor customer service.

      Re *****

To whom it may concern,  I see that the claim for Ms. ***** was cancelled due to her treatment of our staff.  We understand how irritating it is to not have ac, but we also hold our employees to high standards and will not make them tolerate the treatment that Ms. ***** was subjecting them to.  It looks like another company through her warranty was assigned. I would recommend she call into her warranty company to get their contact information.

I have a contract with American Home Shield and they use Beaches Air as their AC Vendor. Beaches Air's number is: 904-685-8500. AHS's number is: 866-765-1691. Agreement #601267298. Beaches Air came to my condo and determined I needed a new compressor. I also need to pay 1250. for the refrigerant which I told BA I was fine doing. Two weeks ago BA scheduled an appointment to come to install the compressor but never showed. I called them, their phone always goes directly to vm. I left 5 messages and none were returned. I called AHS and they had the same issue contacting them. When they were able to contact them they first stated they didn't show up because I refused to pay the $1200. I told them this was not true. I waited through another weekend for AHS to contact BA again. Then BA told AHS that they didn't have the part. AHS then said they were escalating the problem. I was asked to call them ths morning which I did (AHS). I was first told that AHS was supposed to order the part and had not done so. I then got a supervisor on the phone and they told me it was BA's responsibility to order the part and to again wait through the weekend and AHS would call me Monday after they reach BA. This just goes on and on. Meanwhile, as I am elderly, I have been nauseated for the past three days and unable to work. This is costing me income and making me ill. The temperatures outdoors have gotten so high that it doesn't cool down during the night and my condo stays miserable. I have purchased two fans but they do not make a significant difference. Please help me with this as I am at wits end. Thank you so much.

I am rejecting this response because:  Beaches Air doesn't want to do the replacement of my compressor.  It has been two months of no show appointments.  They rarely answer their phone or return calls.

The last time I spoke with them they told me the technician said their are no guard rails and this could be an OSHA Violation.  Our building has a 2 1/2 ft. cement block wall all around the perimeter of the building.

The AC compressors are 12 feet in from the wall.  I have checked with a company that knows the building codes for the building in which I reside and I was told that everything is up to code and their are no safety violations or concerns.

The President of our HOA stated that of all the many, many AC companies that have done work here, Beaches Air is the first to state that it's not safe.

This has been an absolute nightmare for two months now.  I am still without air conditioning and I'm exhausted having to deal with this company on a daily basis.

They called American Home Shield, the company that they are a vendor for and told them they couldn't do the job because it was an OSHA Violation.  As I stated above, this is absolutely not true.  They don't want to do the job and this is their way

of removing themselves.  Initially, when AHS was told this by Beaches Air they denied the replacement of the compressor because the technician stated it was an OSHA violation.  He actually stated it 'might' be an OSHA violation.  He didn't know what he was talking about and it has caused me to have to put more hours upon hours to get this resolved.  AHS has agreed to have another AC company come and do a safety evaluation.

I work from home and this has been horrible.  I am nauseated daily and it's very difficult to concentrate.  Not to mention the hours of my time that I have wasted for two months now.

      Thank you for contacting me.

This problem started on the 31 May 2022 w/ my central ac not working. I have American home shield and contacted them to set up a contractor to come and repair my ac. Beaches Air Conditioning and Heating, LLC was assigned and showed up the same day unannounced. The first technician stated it was the blower motor that was inoperable and had to be ordered. I was texted by beaches that the technician would be at my house between 12 and 5 pm on that Friday. Friday morning I was texted by beaches that the technician was dispatched. I called the dispatcher to make sure the time was still between 12 and 5 pm that day. She confirmed the technician would be there. I waited until 430 pm and tried to contact beaches and there was no one answering the and it went straight to voice-mail. I left a massage. The day I continually called beaches and no one answered the phones. I contacted American home shield to let them know what had happen. Then Monday arrived and we finally got a hold of Beaches and they apologized about what happened and assured us again the technician would be here between 12 and 5 pm. The time can and went without the technician showing up. The next day I talked to the dispatcher and she informed the technician went to the warehouse to get the part but It had arrived yet. I was told by the same dispatcher that the technician was going to be at my house two separate days that I would be contacted when the part was in and technician would be coming to my address. A new technician who did not diagnosed the problem said it was not my blower but just a simple resistor that was bad in which he replaced and ac started working again until it shutdown again the next day. So I contacted American home shield again to have the technician to come and figure out what is the problem again. He did show and stated he had to look more in depth about the problem and come up with a solution.

Contractor is bidded out from American home Shield for warranty contractor work. The company has come out 4 times in the last 3 months and did not properly diagnose my leaking AC coil. I have had ceiling damage from the lack of efficiency in diagnosing the problem. The latest even contractor came out on 5/27 and just refilled my freon and charged me for the service and the unit broke 1 day later. They sent another serviceman back out on 5/30/22 and my coil was finally diagnosed as leaking. I have been fighting with Beaches air conditioning and American Home Shield to authorize my coil replacement and I cannot contact the company, I have called every day since 5/31 and I keep getting told that they submitted and or are going to submit the diagnoses but to no avail and or I get their voicemail and no response back. While the contractor was diagnosing my unit, he uncovered that one of his servicemen did not put a drainage tube together properly which can cause the unit to malfunction and leak. I have gone over 2 weeks with the run around between both companies.

This customer has a leaking lennox evap coil. This coil is under warranty but lennox did not have stock on it, so we are waiting on its arrival. Unfortunately, the only proper way to fix this leak for the customer is to install the oem lennox coil, that is not in. we will be happy to complete this as soon as we have the necessary parts in hand, with out  the parts, we have nothing that we can do to remedy their situation

On 9 June 2022, this company responded to a service request placed via American Home Shield to fix two residential air conditioning units. The technician did a preliminary check and told my wife, son, and I that the problem would be fixed at a total cost of $2,160. He worked on one unit, apparently charging it with freon. It partially works, however the other unit is still down. Multiple attempts to contact the company directly and via AHS have failed (emails, phone calls, and texts). I am in touch with the FL State Attorney General's Office, the FL Department of Business & Professional Licensing, and continue to work with AHS. This will escalate to a lawsuit sometime next week if the job is not properly repaired with a promised 60 day warranty on the work.

      Good morning,

Our notes indicate that this job was completed on June 9th. There was a process of getting the proper authorization from their home warranty company which took some time. If they are still having issues, they are certainly under warranty on this repair. All they need to do it call their warranty and place a free recall dispatch, and we get can them on priority service

I am rejecting this response because:  I have called Beaches three times; once they pretended it was a wrong number (even though I could see their business number on my screen); two other times they simply would not answer the phone.  Likewise, they did not respond to text messages or emails, nor four phone calls from my wife.  I then tried to contact them three times via AHS (the home warranty company which selected them); while I waited on the phone with AHS, their technicians would likewise call, and could not get through.  With no response from Beaches over a period of seven days, beginning with the date their tech stated he had serviced and repaired both of our A/C units for a price of $2,160, we hired another contractor (All American, based in Saint Augustine, FL).  On 16 June, they inspected both units and stated that no one had even opened up one in months, and claimed that the last tech to service the other unit (Beaches) merely pumped it full of freon which rapidly leaked out the same day.  There are three adult witnesses (myself, a retired Army colonel; my wife, a school teacher; and my son, a West Point cadet) who can verify that the tech claimed to have fully repaired both units.  I have stopped payment via my son's bank on his debit card based on the fraud perpetrated by Beaches.  If they wish to challenge this action, I will see them in small claims court, with a written statement from All American (being prepared now).  I will not allow these people back on my property at this point.  For further references on the reputation of Beaches, LLC, you may wish to look at their reviews on Yelp (https://www.yelp.com/biz/beaches-air-conditioning-and-heating-orlando-2):  out of 56 reviews, they've received an average rating of 1.5 stars out of 5.  Bottom Line:  I want my money back and I never want to see or hear from this company again.

This company was contracted by my warranty company to come out and fix my ac due to it not cooling. I was contacted April 14th and was scheduled for a repair on April 15th. When the tech arrived, he ran his checks and determined there were two leaks, and said they would have to send someone else. After seeing my warranty company had authorized the work on April 18th, I decided to wait a few days for Beaches Heating and Air to call to schedule the completion of the work. This did not happen. On Thursday April 21st, I called and received no answer, or callback. I called again Friday April 22nd. Finally I got in touch with someone around 3pm. I was told the part was order and wouldn’t come in until that following Monday or Tuesday, and the earliest they can come out was Wednesday, April 27th, between 8-10 am. I reluctantly accepted this appointment time. When the tech arrived I showed him where the unit was, he worked for a little and stated that he could not find a leak inside, but did find one outside. I replied to him, yes, the previous tech said there were two leaks. He went on to say that his dispatch would contact me to have someone come out. Later that day a tech showed up, no contact or call ahead. When I informed the tech through my camera that I was not home, and it would take me an hour or two to get there, because they didn’t call me. I was told he would call it in and see if they can swing back to finish the job. By 4pm that same day, I had not heard from the dispatch on another tech coming out. I called, and the lady I spoke with said they were booked for the day, and that I would have to wait until the next day, with a 2-7pm appointment window, I again reluctantly accept and took off from work to be available. No tech showed up or called. On the morning of April 29th, I called 8 times before getting in touch with anyone from that company. I was promised call backs that I still have yet to receive.

We had a confirmed appt with this customer on 4/27. We were arriving during the agreed time window and the customer indicated they would not be home for a couple of hours, although we were within our agreed upon time window. We advised the customer that if we had an appt that afternoon open up, we would fit him back in, we did not have any openings happen that afternoon to be able to do so.  The customer then called in yelling at our office staff for him not being available for his appt.  This was not our office's fault that he was not available during his agreed upon appt time, and we will not tolerate treatment of our staff in that manner.  We have suggested that this home warranty customer call his home warranty and get another vendor as his actions and words towards our office were unacceptable.

I have American Home Shield. Beginning of February my AC broke down. New house , only owner for almost six years. AHS sent Beaches AC and Heating and without checking the unit they asked me for US800 for Refrigerant (came without ladder in small car). I paid then 800.00 on March 1 and asked the technician to check for any leaks and he REFUSED. Of course days later, AC was not working. Since then, I have been calling them without answers, no call no show and at the end they just want me to pay for the Freon again. Also they have put Freon 5 times in a month without fixing the leak and is against the law EPA. At this point I need help , either they give me my money back to use another company or they fix the AC. Comments in here and in Google has the same pattern. They take money and do not fix the AC. It is a pattern, please check reviews in here and google. March 1 1 after too many escalations ***** (the one without ladder from Feb) came back and without doing a leak check put more Refrigerant. March 16 ****** checked in the attic and found a major leak in the Coil sending me by text his report to fix or replace the Coil and he put Refrigerant again. March 26 a Tech fixed the Coil in less than three minutes and put Refrigerant again. Same day I called cause house was not cooling. Then ****** another tech came and requested a Coil to be replaced which was approved by American Home Shield. On April 12 , two techs came home (**** *** ****** ) without the Coil and asked me to pay again knowing that I have two months warranty and that it was not my fault that they put that much refrigerant without checking for leaks. Since I demanded my Warranty , they did nothing and left. Same day AHS got a report that my Coil was fixable (after being repair and did not work and also they did not get inside the house . I have surveillance cameras 24/7 to probe it. Also they wrote that I, ***** *****, took the Refrigerant out and that is a comply with my warranty. Need help asap!

We repaired a leak on **** ****** ac though her home warranty, and with that she was responsible for refrigerant charges due.  She was upset that a part was being repaired and not replaced and things were done to the unit after we left to make the refrigerant escape. We have a recorded phone call of speaking with **** ****r where we are explaining this to her and she does not deny doing this.  I am also not sure why she is asking for a refund, when she stopped payment after the initial repair was done. I am rejecting this response because:Beaches AC never fixed my AC. Started working in February, charged me 800.00 in March 01 and after that put refrigerant March 11 cause house never got cool. I always called  AHS for Beaches AC to go back.

March 16 first time checked the system . Request Coil to be repaired because multiple leaks. Put more refrigerant and house was never cool. I got their report in a text from their tech using their company phone.

March 26, Coil was fixed, refrigerant by two different techs, same day. House never cool. Called six hour later to complained.

March 29 a technician check and said that Coil needed to be replaced. Was approved by AHS.

April 04 another tech came without the coil and did nothin

April 12th Sean came without the coil and left saying that Beaches AC will call me. Same day around 6pm ****** came and asked me for 900.00 to installed the new coil and since I told him that I was under their warranty cause they have not fixed anything he left saying that he was not able to do anything.

Same day the company made a report that Coil was fixable. They did not get in the house,I have cameras!!!!!! Also saying that I open the valves for refrigerant to escape knowing about the major leak in the coil.

After that they refused to work with me. After lots of complaints including EPA and Telemundo, AHS was responsible enough to sent me a very good Company: UNited AC and they came fixed the coil and the refrigerant was covered by AHS since they know Beaches took my money and did not do the job.

The answer you have by BEACHES AC is not valid. They are playing with you, customer and AHS . If you read the comments under BBB and google are the same. it is the worst company, taking money and never fix anything. They do not answer any calls and are very rude. I hope you can do anything to stop them to continue stealing money and making our lives harder. I have a newborn and home and they did not even care.

Please help me. Ask for all the reports from AHS , my calls, re-calls, and emails they sent to Beaches that way you will know that as a customer I was not treated the way I was supposed to and never had the service

I see a lot of false information in this complaint. We had a compressor on order from the customers warranty company. There was a delay in getting the compressor shipped into town, but we were not the suppliers of this compressor, and unfortunately delays in the industry have become more and more common. We did do the work the she paid a portion of, and her home warranty covered the bulk of the repair. All repairs were completed April 4th, and since we have not heard back from the customer.  We unfortunately do not make or supply major parts or components,  their warranty supplies them so we do need to wait until these parts come in to be able to fix the unit properly.
