    I paid my apartment's **** to move in and my apartment was not ready. My main complaints that I would like to be addressed from the apartments or them replacing my countertops that were painted over and the paint is coming off just with me being there not even a week. When I called the front office, the manager ***** told me that that is their standard practice and that they will have to inspect why the paint is coming off. I explained to her that the paint is coming off because the cabinet should have never been painted where people prepare their food. I also wanted to resolve the influx of cockroaches that are in my apartment that I've experienced in less than a week. They claim that they sent someone to come and spray but I asked them to specifically caulk up any openings in my kitchen that will allow roaches to crawl there.

    ** ******* applied for an apartment on July 27th, 2022.  She was approved for the apartment and paid her deposit on August 2, 2022.  She viewed the apartment on August 20th, 2022 prior to her move in date of August 26, 2022.  Ms. ******* was aware that she rented a “classic” style apartment home. During her initial inspection of the home prior to move in there was no evidence of a pest control issue, nor was there any evidence of a pest control problem during any of the prior inspections of the unit by management prior to move in, including the day of move in.   Ms. ******* was aware that the countertops were painted and she stated she was going to vinyl wrap them after move in.  ** ******* did her walk through on August 26th, 2022 and did complain about the painted countertops.  The countertops were freshly resurfaced prior to her move in.  Ms ******* did notice a few bugs.  We told her that pest control would treat her apartment the following Tuesday, August 30th.  Pest control treated her unit and did go back on September 6th, 2022 to follow up.  He found a couple of dead insects.  ** ******* demanded that we change out her refrigerator and dishwasher.  Both were in working order but in attempt to make her happy we put in the request and both appliances have been replaced with new stainless steel appliances.  Ms. ******* called the City of Jacksonville to inspect her home.  The only issue the Inspector had was that he saw two dead insects.  We provided him with proof that the unit was treated and that we would continue to treat as needed.
