I had a mortgage with TIAA since 2014. At the beginning of 2020, I went to refinance with TIAA to get a much lower rate. There are two issues here. The first is that my closing date moved up a week on short notice and no one told me to cancel my monthly payment. So I made an additional monthly payment and TIAA said I would get the payment back. However, the payment was around 1600 and I only received about 950 back. TIAA can not explaiin why this is happening. The second issue is that I closed on February 28 but the bank did not file the paperwork until March 5th. So I was forced to pay an extra 7 days of interest on the mortgage because they did not complete the refinance on time. I am looking for the remaining portion of my extra payment to be paid back and I am looking for a reimbursement of the extra interest I paid due to the late completion of the closing. I have reached out numerous times to both the loan officer and the loan processor and keep getting the runaround.Business response
