    My roof was completed by ****** ******* ************ in December of 2022. A permit was pulled prior to the start of job and the first dry-in inspection passed without issue, however upon completion of the roof and after I paid ****** ******* ************ in full for the job, the final inspection failed due to improper/lack of paperwork being submitted. I have documentation of me reaching out to *** **** the main project manager and contact person for ****** ******* ************ via email and text and the number of the business directly on multiple occasions over the past several months asking for a resolution to this issue. I was assured more than once that they were submitting the paperwork required to finalize the inspection and close the permit, however, that did not happen and the permit has now expired. I was still assured even after the permit expired that *** **** was taking care of the issue and it would be fixed. I even went so far as to get a new notice of commencement signed and notarized as per his instructions so that he could get the paperwork submitted. He claims to have submitted the paperwork several times however when talking directly to the County permitting office they state that is untrue and had he turned in the paperwork it would be processed on the spot with them. I even called and text him that same day giving him a name at the permitting office of the woman I spoke to who said he could email or bring the paperwork directly to her and she assured me the permit would be taken care of that same day. He never responded. Again, he was paid in full and I have proper documentation. He took my hurricane insurance money and ran without completing the job.

    Thank you very much for your time and speaking with me. The following complaints were a direct result of system failure with Charlotte County. It was an unfortunate situation and we apologize for any inconvenience with our clients not getting their permits closed out as quickly as possible. We try to keep an extremely high standard on the quality of our roofs and our customer service. Unfortunately, in this cases, it was out of our control. Thankfully, the city was able to resolve all of their issues and close out these permits. We have had a perfect record for 25 years and would never do anything to tarnish it. Again my sincerest apologies as we always try to do right for our clients.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    This is completely untrue. My permit was only closed last month (almost two Years later!) because I was finally going to sue (because I finally had the means) and also because I contacted the compliance officer for Charlotte County so I could find out if I could press charges for defrauding people during a hurricane, so the compliance officer helped me get my permit closed. This had nothing to do with this company. Robbie Roberts completely ignored all my communication efforts and even lied multiple times saying he was going to fix it and never did. The county themselves told me all that him or one of his company members needed to do was come to the office, or send the proper paperwork to the office, and my permit would be closed out and they couldn't even do something as simple as that, and because of the situation I almost had to go without homeowners insurance because I could not get any insurance company to insure me with an expired roof permit, which is why the compliance officer, after showing him the multiple email messages and correspondence I had with Robbie Roberts construction, felt bad for me and helped me get my permit closed. This company just takes people's money, slaps a cheap roof on from ********** products and moves on without making sure their clients are taken care of. Not to mention now I have dips in my roof!! Even though they charged me for 28 sheets of plywood. This is a terrible company and they shouldn't be allowed to be in business.

    ********* Im am terribly sorry that you feel this way. You hired us we did exactly what we told you we would do. We immediately came out took care of your roof in a very neat and professional manner. I tried to help you in anyway that I possibly could. The only reason we had any situation was the permitting department closing your permit. They had such an influx of information and paperwork coming in that a lot of it had been misplaced or categorized. We were able to work with them on three permits that they had lost the documents on, and they finally were able to close them out. It had nothing to do with you saying you were going to sue. the permitting department will tell you I called them numerous times trying to resolve the situation. End of day you received your roof promptly and as it was supposed to be. As far as the brand of shingles, they were exactly what was quoted to you and that is a 30 year premium GAF singles. That is a wonderful shingle to use , and not inferior in anyway. We also went above and beyond and put premium ice and water shield, which is the very best thing anyone can put on your roof. We did not skimp you in anyway, so the harsh remarks that we should not be in business is pretty unbelievable. Show some kindness theres no need for so much hate.

    Hired them to replace our roof after a major storm. They asked for full payment we paid. 5 months later they refuse to pay the 50 dollar fee that they encured to get our final inspection. Typical of contractors that come from elsewhere to capitalize on other people's misfortune.
