Group of young men/movers were very clean, friendly and personable. My husband followed them to new home. They unpacked everything except for my son's 50" new tv, was still covered in blanket and seran wrap, whereas everything else was unwrapped/unpacked. My son arrived at new home. When he unwrapped his tv it was severely cracked and unuseable. Obviously guys knew it broke and that is why it was the only thing left unpacked. My husband unwaringly & mistakenly signed off on everything, didn't unpack the tv or inquire about it because it was my son's. The company offered $40 for the tv because their insurance compensates by so much a pound, not by value. Obviously there wasn't much care used in transportation and for customer's property, so I would not recommend. I tipped the guys well in advance, big mistake, trusting they would use care and due diligence because that is what you would expect, but if you value your things, use a different company.

The arrangements for this move were made by family members, not the direct person whose items were being moved. During the booking call process, a TV was not mentioned on the items we would be moving. Without this information, we were unable to recommend a TV protection kit, which provides added security for such items. Our team still moved the TV and followed standard protocol by pad-wrapping the TV and obtaining a signed Release of Liability (ROL), which acknowledges the risks associated with transporting items without specialized protection. During the booking process customers are given a chance to select standard or depreciated valuation which covers items that may be damaged. This customer opted for the free $.60/lb coverage option. Based off the signed Release of Liability, we did not have to reimburse anything for the TV, but offered to honor the standard $0.60 per pound valuation coverage for the TV which came to $40 based off the weight of the TV.

We had three moves with Two Men and a Truck in the space of less than a month. The first move was great. The movers were very careful and friendly and they seemed to like each other and enjoy working together, which made for a pleasant environment. The second move was on a Saturday. Two Men and a Truck didnt bring enough trucks for our move and we were told that they would move the rest of our belongings on our third move, the following Monday. I was asked if I wanted to purchase additional insurance at the start of the day, but the first move went so smoothly that I felt quite confident in their abilities and declined. No one communicated to us that there would be trucks in two different places at the same time that Monday, so the day began with a bit of confusion. All boxes were labeled on the top right with brightly-colored tags: kitchen, bedroom 1, bedroom 2, living room, etc. The process of clearing out three storage units and the remainder of a house went smoothly and we arrived at our new house mid-afternoon. As the boxes were clearly labeled, I gave general instructions and assumed getting the boxes in the right rooms would be fairly straightforward. At our new home, one of the movers ran into a wall with his hand-truck and left a crack over a foot in length in the wall. The mover in charge took pictures and said they would take care of it. Over the course of the next week or so, we discovered that between 25 and 50% of the boxes were not in the correct rooms, and eventually spent the better part of a day shifting boxes ourselves. Then I was informed by the manger that the crack in our wall wasnt covered because we hadnt purchased additional insurance. While Two Men and a Truck doesnt have a legal obligation to fix what they broke, surely a moral obligation exists. If you decide to use Two Men and a Truck, be sure to purchase the additional insurance.
