On 9/14/2021, I purchased a female miniature dachshund (named Chace) from Puppy Avenue in Jacksonville, Florida. The cost of Chace including tax totaled $2149.99. The first night home her bowel movement was bloody diarrhea which was extremely alarming. I called ****** ****** the manager at Puppy Avenue and she said it happens a lot. I scheduled her free wellness check the very next morning with Puppy Avenue's vet of choice at Ark Animal Hospital. Chace was diagnosed with Giardia. Within 3 weeks Chace developed a bad cough and we took her back to the hospital suspecting kennel cough. It was determined to be pneumonia with 2 collapsed lung lobes. She was hospitalized for 2 days at Capital Animal Specialist on antibiotic IV's, bloodwork, additional x-rays, and a CT Scan. Capital Animal Specialist determined that Chace was born with Congenital Hypoplasia, in addition to E-Coli in her lungs. The doctor said that all of her illnesses were related to having Congenital Bronchial Hypoplasia and will always be prone to lung illnesses and lung disease and cough. During this time myself, and the vet hospital sent all diagnosis and medical reports to Puppy Avenue via email. I sent all reports and emails, and sent the same documents by certified mail to Puppy Avenue. ****** ****** denies receiving any emails from the address which is listed on their website. I RESENT all information to another e-mail that she provided to include the owner **** ****. Certified mail was refused/denied from their store and returned to me. I have spoken to Puppy Avenue on numerous occasions and have requested by phone and e-mail to speak to the owner **** ****. To date, there has been NO response from the owner. I was offered a new puppy only. Florida Pet Law and Lemon Law states otherwise. I am requesting to be reimbursed 2149.99 to cover a fraction of our puppy's medical costs. In addition, Puppy Avenue sold us a dog from Puppy Mill, Bill Nored, a repeat offender by the USDA for MULTIPLE YEARS!
