Big Tuna did our roof and after the roof was complete, there was a leak that ruined our ceiling in our family room. Big Tuna hired a painting company, Dwayne Glover, Inc to repair the ceiling and paint it. Dwayne did the work first week of January 2023. They never paid him, $2300 and now the painter is placing a lien on our home.

Big Tuna was hired to replace the roof in order to address a leak in the roof. Within a couple of months of having the roof replaced, we noticed ongoing leaking from the roof. After a couple of attempts at repairs, Big Tuna denied the roof was the source of the water damage. One we hired a leak detector who determined the roof was the issue, there was extensive water damage. We pulled back a wall and found some mold as well. Big Tuna refused to give us their insurance information or further address the issue after that.

I hired Big Tuna Roofing on 5/6/22 to re-roof my rental property and paid $4025 (the 50% deposit requested). The job began on 6/17 and I went to the property to meet my rep ******* *****. During that time wood rot was noted/reported and I was advised by ******* “80 feet of pressure treated 1x2” (which is the perimeter of the roof) and “a sheet of plywood” would be replaced for an additional $675. I paid ******* the remainder of the job cost plus the $675 ($4700 total). Per my renter, the job was completed 6/18. On 6/19 I went to the property and noted only a small section of 1 x 2 was replaced (approximately 8-10 feet) with what appeared to be furring strips. Also noted obvious wood rot with a large amount of silicone caulking surrounding the area. I immediately reached out to ******* via text message with pictures showing my concerns. On the morning of 6/20, I received a text from ******* but based on what was said, it was clear the text was not meant for me. ******* stated “This lady sent this to me Sunday” “She paid lol”. I called ******* and advised him that I was not pleased with his statement and asked for a call back from his supervisor, which never happened. I called the company phone number numerous times over the next several days but would only receive a voicemail. Detailed messages were left with a return call request, but never received. I found an email address for the company “VP of sales” (***** *******) and sent him an email detailing the above, also included pictures. He responded and advised me that this was the first of him hearing about this and that he would get with the owner (****) and “get this handled”. On 6/22 someone went out to the property and replaced a small section (approx 18”) of 1x2 plus 1x6. Additional emails were sent to to ***** (one each week) in hopes of getting this resolved. The first several weeks I was told **** was on vacation, then **** had Covid, then ***** stopped responding all together.
