This company along with their CEO and office manager are deceptive, shady and overall run a business off ripping off their clients and vendors alike! We were engaged by them to assist on one of their projects for water mitigation on an emergency basis during non-business hours and we rendered services promptly and professionally. The CEO *** ****** then became unresponsive, and his office manager *** ****** kept giving us the run around. We have tried numerous methods to make contact, but they are rude, and unprofessional and just hang up on us. After reading other victims reviews, it is definitely a standard practice of theirs to be shady and run a s business off of scamming hard-working people. I strongly advise potential clients and vendors to please do your research and do not do any business with *** ****** and this company!

In March I contracted with *** ******, owner of: Ready Roofing, LLC to install a roof on my home under new construction. I paid *** per contract and he had the roof installed and completed in July. On July 15th I was given a Notarized Claim of Lien on my home. The claim was placed on my home by *** ***** ***** ******* Supply for $56,125.34 along with daily finance charges/late fees/interest rates due to non-payment for roofing supplies. I contacted *** ****** who said it was an error and that he would clear it up. Weeks have gone by and I have multiple messages in which *** ****** has promised to take care of this Lien and as of today August 28th, still has not done so. I have contacted *** ***** ***** ******* Supply who has said that they cannot get *** ****** to respond to their collection efforts either. I paid *** ****** and the roof was installed, if he did not pay for the supplies then what did he do with the money I paid him? This seems illegal/fraudulent and not right. This has caused my construction to come to a halt as I cannot access funds from my bank to continue paying for construction due to this Lien being placed even though I paid *** ****** with Reay Roofing. I cannot get him to return my calls and he constantly tells me that he will take care of it and then does nothing. Please help me. The supply company says he has not paid them one cent towards the supplies for our roof.

    Business Response

    Date: 09/10/2024

Ready Roofing had paid the supplier in full and the lien was released.
This is one version of the story and not necessarily a truly accurate one.

On Nov 8, 2023, Ready Roofing installed a new roof on our house. We paid them $19,400.00. On November 9th we noticed the damage to the eves on our roof and immediately contacted, via email, the sales rep for the company. We have a chain of 14 emails where representatives and the owner of Ready Roofing, *** ******* have promised to fix the eves. The company has acknowledged that their workers have damaged our eves. *** ****** has promised us 2 times that his workers will be at our home to fix the damage. At no time did the workers show up. And Mr. ****** wasn't even kind enough to notify us that the workers were not going to show up. I took a day off from work today to meet with the workers from Ready Roofing of Jax. They never showed up. Not only do I want them to fix the damage they did to our roof, I want $1000. credit for my loss of wages. I am also filing a complaint with Crime against seniors, since we paid them in full and they did not come to fix the problem.

Roof was completed, passed inspections and homeowner inspection. Only a 2 ft fascia wrap over the garage was slightly damaged. It is a superset trade to repair and Ready Roofing contracted with 2 different sun contractors to repair, any incomplete eves work is scheduled for completion this month

In Early February, a young man knocked on our door asking about damage to our house from Hurricane Ian. We invited him in and discussed our roof damage. He explained we should file a claim with our home owner's insurance. The following weeks, he brought clay tiles around for our inspection. Eventually, we signed a contract with his company Ready Roofing. He assured us that if our claim was rejected by our Insurance Company, the contract would become Null and Void, and our Deposit would be promptly returned to us. There was even a bold line stating that if the Insurance rejected our Claim, the contract would be null and void. After nearly 120 days, the contract was rejected. However, the deposit money (nearly $9000) was not refunded. On calling the salesman, who we had got to know very well, he assured us the money would be refunded. We called the company owner, and he too promised the deposit would be refunded, less a small amount for placing one tarp on the roof (but the tarp was damaged with a big hole in it). I agreed I would allow a small reduction in my refund for the tarp installation. It has been, nearly a month now, but no refund was forthcoming. They have made no further efforts to make contact.

This is to inform BBB the complaint(********* filed against Ready Roofing LLC of Jacksonville, Florida has been resolved.

    Thanks for your help,

    ******* ** ****

    Customer Answer

I had written a complaint earlier, and the angry owner *** ******, first threatened me with a lawsuit, and then offered to pay back my deposit if I would remove my complaint. I agreed and followed the procedure to cancel my complaint. He said he would send a check on Friday, July 7, 2023. *** ****** did not comply with his promised refund.

Very sorry that I have to do this over, and I really don’t want to trouble your efforts, but the amount in question is rather large at $8850.00, less a fee for installing ONE only tarp, which I assumed would cost about $100-$200, but later got a “bill” for $1000. I never ordered the tarp, but it was installed by the RR consultant (***** ******) as a gesture of good will. It was later that I was motivated to check the BBB for possible records of crooked and fraudulent conduct.  Ready Roofing has a bad, long term record of complaints and poor ratings (five scores of “1/5”), yet he was given an A+ by BBB (a bit of irony, he joined BBB on the last day of our contract). Wow, was I naïve! Most roofers bend the rules a lot. I started looking for a new Roofer, and selected only those with high review scores, and NO complaints.

    Business Response

    Date: 09/06/2023

The agreement was signed for the roof replacement, a charge for the tarp incurred after contract signature. Homeowner asked for a refund on the roof shortly after the tarp was placed.

Owner discussed with homeowner to remove bad BBB review in exchange for refund check minus the tarp charges. The review was not removed. Owner/*** has called Homeowner to discuss, in the meantime Homeowner put up another bad BBB review- with no conversation with ***.

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: Ready Roofing owner *** ****** has not agreed to send our deposit money of $8850, as he promised if I resolved our dispute.

    Regards,

    ******* ****

    Customer Answer

    Date: 09/06/2023

A smaller part of my complaint is a bill of $1000 sent to us by *** ******'s secretary for installing a tarp. He claimed two tarps were installed, but the second tarp by the technician was not installed, he never showed up. This is not unusual for this Company, if you read all the customer reviews, unreliability is a hallmark of Ready Roofing. We are prepared to pay $100 for installation of a used, tarp with holes in it, and that is the maximum we will allow for this failed effort by RR. This small part of a larger company should not carry an A+ rating by BBB, since they are corrupt and practice bad faith in their business dealings.

*** ******, owner of Ready Roofing, claims he called us to discuss our complaint: NOT TRUE. We called him as recently as last week. Mr. ****** seems to have memory problems. He has never called us, but we have called him twice. Prevarication in business is a telling sign of pending bad faith.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 09/11/2023

*** ******'s reply on behalf of ** ******* was incorrect. If she and he took a look at the line regarding the history of This Complaint (not a review has *** stated), she will see I sent a letter to BBB

which announced a resolution of my Complaint, since *** ****** offered to send me my deposit money less a small fee for installing a used Tarp. He did not send the deposit money as promised, while the evidence is clear that I sent a note to BBB that we had resolved our complaint against Ready Roofing, LLC. She, *** did not indicate that she had seen my statement of resolution, dated July 6.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 09/11/2023

I wish to correct the date I gave in my reply to *** ******, book-keeper for RR. The date I sent the note of Resolution was July 5, not July 6. Moreover, I want to also point out the use of the word "Review" in her correspondence is incorrect, since it is clear from these communications that my words against Ready Roofing, LLC (RR) were in fact a COMPLAINT. And, it was a Complaint I offered to be resolved as part of the bargain with *** ******. The bargain was simply as follows: *** ******, owner of RR, offered to return my deposit of $8850, less a small fee for installing a single, used Tarp (which I assumed would be in the range $100-200) if I would take down or resolve my complaint against RR. He replied he would send the check on Friday, July 7. I assumed his certified bank check would arrive the earliest on July 10. It never arrived and has not arrived, after over two months has passed.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 09/13/2023

The response letter of *** ****** is so full of Untruths, that it must receive another review. First "dishonest" statement is, she refers to my COMPLAINT as a Review.  Second dishonest statement is she claims her boss *** ****** called me to discuss the Complaint: he made no calls to me, but I called him twice. Then she states, without me informing *** ******,, I wrote another complaint.
****** did not keep his word after I wrote the first Resolution note to BBB on July 5, and I wait almost a month before asking BBB to reinstate my Complaint because ****** had not paid out the promised Refund for my deposit of $8850. BBB kindly reinstated my original COMPLAINT.

The contract to re-roof my home was signed 12-14-22. The crew did a satisfactory job on the shingles and was completed on time. However, while stripping off the old roof a 2’X4’ double pane skylight was broken. I notified the company immediately they agreed to fix via text messages. Meanwhile the crew had left and within a couple of weeks two separate leaks appeared in two different areas. Again, I notified the company. And again, they agreed to fix the issue. Now, I have the broken skylight plus two leaks, showing up as water damage on my ceiling. I have attempted to resolve the problem but haven’t had any luck. The company and its management have set up eight different days and time slots to send a repair crew, but no one has bothered to show up. My constant calls, text and emails have gone unanswered. Also, I have asked for a copy of the contract and the permit, and I received neither. I went to the county for a permit history, they showed an open permit with none of the required inspections. I was told by management that their inspections have been handled by a private company. So, I called that company as well, they showed no inspections to my address. My insurance company has gone bankrupt and now I have to get a new policy with open permit.

New roof was installed with 3 new skylights. Roof leaked , resealed 3 different occasions, assumed leaks were from skylights, without checking where leak was coming from. Calling company for 2 months, with no responses at all from voice messages or texts. Now, we have black mold spread across our ceiling inside the house. Went directly to the office, since they do were not responding. Owner stated that yes it is an issue, he will fix it. Had no reason at all why none of our message or voice mails were no answered. He did say that the ceiling would be taken down and replaced. Had 2 appointments, one with roofer and one with ceiling guys, neither showed up or called to cancel. Still waiting for resolution, black mold is a definite health concern. So now it is not only a leaky roof problem, but a potential health risk. After trying to get a response for 2 months, i feel I have been patient enough, all I want are some answers and the work they did not do properly to be fixed, not to be totally ignored. They do have a warranty on the work they installed but are not doing anything about the bad installation.
