    We hired this company to reroof our house after hurricane damage. They tried to collect money for services not provided and damaged the skylight while reroofing. They would not contact us back to work towards a resolution until I got other companies give me an estimate for repairs, which was 5 business days. They also lied about what the issue was with the damage prompting me getting a second opinion.

    Customer reported a problem with a skylight that was re-installed against our recommendation.  Additionally, customer did not pay the initial invoice in full.  Unfortunately, she has submitted multiple negative reviews on social media rather than working towards a solution. I sent her the following email offering a resolution to the problem.  Email text as follows;

    You have a remaining balance on the roof of $ 485.50.  The insurance company approved the claim at $16,046.22 so there is no reason for you not to make this payment.  I have attached a copy of their payment letter.

    Regarding the skylight, you chose to not have it replaced at the time we did the roof.  As a means to resolve this conflict we are willing to install a new skylight billing you our cost of materials and labor which we estimate at $900.00.  This will not include any interior work with the skylight.  We will require a payment of the remaining invoice and the skylight cost in advance of any work being done.  We would also require you and others in your party to remove the ****** reviews that were posted incorrectly.

    Let me know if you would like to proceed with this plan.   I want to make clear that if the $485.50 payment is not received then you do not have warranty coverage as part of our contract.

    Her response to the email was to continue to ask for Summit to pay for all items and to post additional negative reviews.

     Complaint: ********

    I am rejecting this response because:

    Not only was assured by both representatives that the skylight was going to be replaced, it wasn’t and it was damaged as a result of the work done.

    We disagree with the customers assertions. Our contract governs the terms of the job, not a text exchange with someone outside our company. The insurance estimate did not specify replacement of the skylight and we do not warranty re-used skylights. We have offered to replace the skylight at cost as a solution. Additionally, the customer decided to keep some of the insurance proceeds that were due to us and we have informed her that behavior invalidates any warranty on the roof.

     Complaint: ********

    I am rejecting this response because:

    ***** ***** was trying to recover insurance proceeds allocated for work not completed outlined in estimate by insurance company. The skylight needed to be replaced, and I was advised by two representatives that it would be replaced. Not only was this not done, but the re-used skylight was damaged causing water damage to my home. Interior and exterior damage to my home has been sustained due to negligence on summit exteriors behalf.
