My truck caught on fire off of **** *** I was just going to the corner gate store so I didn't have my phone with me when it caught fire I pulled way off in a church parking lot where I wasn't on city property I had to run home and by the Time I got thei the cops were calling my cell phone. They asked about getting the truck towed I told them I'm calling my insurance company to have it towed. So I called the insurance company and was on hold and the officer called again I told him I have a wrecker on the way so he hangs up I finished with the insurance. And theyed called a few hours later and said they never found the truck. The cops had called Wilson towing and they came and got my truck and didn't tell me nothing it took me almost a week to even find my truck why didn't they bring it to my house the cops knew where I lived because they would not make any money that way by the time I got up the money to get another vehicle I saw my truck that burned in the junk yard so they got payed for that and when I got my new truck and was at the tag agency yhey had a lein against my tag for around 500 dollars for a tow bill and storage when they never should have touched my truck it was on private property at 1 in the morning you people are a joke and if you have done this to me you've done it to a bunch more people you need to find a way to make a honest living and not be in kahoots with the sheriff's department you people make it impossible to get a vehicle out and then after 30 days you sell it to the scrap yard you made tgat money and when someone tries to get a tag their hit with whatever you feel like you want to charge is that even legal

We were called by the ************ ******** office to tow the vehicle. It is always documented with the city and NCIC when a car is towed by law enforcement. He claims he knew where his truck was towed to (A week later). He could have let the insurance company know where it was at and if he had full coverage, they would have paid the tow bill and picked the vehicle up from the tow yard. The customer left the vehicle at the tow yard and never tried to pick it up or pay the tow bill. Customer also states that we were payed for the tow. I would like to see his or her receipt of the money we were paid to tow the car. By Florida law, tow companies are allowed to place a lien on customers that do not pay their tow bill. It is set in the law the fees we are allowed to charge. The lien amount is only 1/4 of the total tow bill due at day of auction. So the lien amount is only a portion of what is owed and it is put in place by the people at the tag office. So yes it is legal to place a lien on people who do not pay their tow bill. ******* *** - ****** *********
    **** ** - ************* ***** (ss. *************)
****** - Liens for recovering, towing, or storing vehicles and vessels. Read this State Law to understand why and how this is legal.
