At this point *** ***** ************ has had 5 weeks and their alleged partner business -******** ************ has had almost 2 weeks to resolve a transmission issue after the vehicle was towed there for warranty work after paying them $7,000 for a transmission rebuild which only led to receiving the vehicle with the exact same issue after just 2 days. Since no one can seem to properly repair the issue, diagnose the exact problem, get another used part, salvaged part, rebuilt part, salvaged part, dealer part, etc. I request a full refund this week and the vehicle towed to ******* ******* **** at **** ********* ***. after having my vehicle for a combined total 10.5 weeks with no clear explanation, update, eta, or effective resolution from *** ***** ************ nor their alleged business partner ******** ************ in Jacksonville. I am also tired of having to explain this nonsense to family, friends, neighbors, church members, dealer employees, and gym associates as to why almost 11 weeks without my vehicle and 2 separate businesses in 2 separate cities both have no clear explanation for this but have both been paid however they split the $7,000.

On ******** *** **** I was recommended to take my car to American Transmission at **** ***** ***** in Jacksonville Florida from a nearby mechanic who when he hooked my car up to the code said that there was a transmission error code so I took it to American Transmission and I was told that they needed to remove the transmission in order to diagnose it and to repair it and that it was going to cost $*** minimum to do the repair. I was then called a couple days later by ***** ****** and was told that it was going to cost $**** to repair the car. The transmission needed that much work so I said put my car back together. I am coming to get it. When I first arrived at the place of business, the girl at the counter wrote “traveler” on my ticket That was a little disturbing to me. I felt like trying to get phone calls back-and-forth were difficult. It was right before Christmas. I wanted my car. I needed my car. I was down in Jacksonville, helping my boyfriend. A couple hours later a man name *** called, trying to rectify the situation to find out why I didn’t want my car repaired and said It might only be **** or maybe even **** well then why was I told $**** that doesn't make any sense to me so I brought my car home to my mechanic that I have been dealing with for 20 years and have never had to return my car to them for something that wasn't fixed right the first time. my mechanic told me that my transmission has not been removed since my car was built that he could tell that from looking at it so I was totally scammed by this company My transmission in my car has been repaired by my mechanic for $***** So beware of this place. They charged me $*** for doing nothing to my car except disconnect my battery and wipe out my presets. I have since spoken with *** At American Transmission and he states he has documentation of when it was pulled. But my mechanic of 20 years states it wasn’t. I believe my mechanic

Good Afternoon. My name is *********** ******* and I live here in Jacksonville, FL. Approximately 1 1/2 Months ago I was referred to American Transmission by Tires Plus Total Car Care that is also located on Atlantic Blvd and was advised that the work that needed to be done would take 5-7 Business Days to repair. I have been reaching out just to see if I might be provided with an update as I have been missing days from work as I am no longer covered for my rental car expenses. My Family did request that I reach out as it has been a Month and a Half since I have had my Car when it was originally advised that it would be 5-7 Business Days to repair. The location I took it to is ******* ******** ****. We did want to see if any additional discounts can be applied to the overrall Bill outside of the Military Discount along with being able to have my Car to be able to get back to work. I do look forward to speaking back with you and I want to Thank You so much for your time here Today.

My vehicle was towed several months , in July 2023. ago to American transmission to have a transmission replaced. When it arrived the shifter cable work perfectly fine there were no issues with it. The company told me that I needed a new transmission that was $5,600 even though they had quoted a friend who called for me in the beginning 4200. When I went to pick up the vehicle the battery was dead. The attendant jumped it off and told me everything was fine. I drove the vehicle back to *******. As soon as I got home I called the company back to let them know something was wrong. The car would not go into park therefore the battery kept running down. I was advised to bring it back to ************ ******* and that they would be happy to fix it. I was called on September 12th and told I would have to pay additional money because it wasn't their mechanics fault when they took the vehicle apart that the cable came out of place. I explained that I feel like this is their fault. They should have driven the car and they should not have told me to drive from ******* to ******* to pick it up until they were for sure that they had fixed the car. The manager, *** told me that he did not care that I had to drive. He in fact said that he didn't care if I had to drive from **********. He said he would not honor their service. They wanted to try to build the warranty company. It was this shops fault. This negligence led to my battery repeatedly going dead because the car would not go into Park. Now I have made two chips to ******* and the business said they did not care. I want them to fix my vehicle correctly without charging another fee because they should not have sent it home until they knew it was properly functioning. I want the problem fixed and I want to be reimbursed for my gas mileage back and forth to ************ from *******.

On May 19, 2022 I contracted with ******** Transmissions Inc, in *********** **, to have a custom build titanium transmission installed in my 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 truck. It was to come with a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty. ******** purchased the transmission from American Transmission in ************* **. American Transmission sold me a basic entry level metal transmission. The titanium build transmission (without parts/labor) came to $8150.00. (see attached invoice). ******** in finished my truck June, 2022 and in early January, 2023 the intake shaft shattered. ******** passed me to American Transmission and my conversations began with *****, the Warranty Manager at the ************* ** phone ************. It was during one of these conversations I learned my transmission was NOT a custom titanium build. They charged for one DID NOT provide it. Amazingly, ***** admitted it was not a titanium custom build transmission and they would only warranty non-titanium replacement. I would need to pay $1000 to get titanium. This is clearly a scam where they under-delivered initially and when it breaks they can charge the customer again. Social media indicates this may be a typical practice for them and I know if it happens once it has happened many times before. This has caused incredible hardship for me and will without hesitation pursue American Transmission legally. Depending on their response to in inquiry, my next step will be with an attorney and every penny I need to spend will be worth it.

    To whom it may concern,

This has not been taken care of everything in the letter they replied was not true. I and the transmission company in *********** ** both were under the impression that what they ordered was complete titanium the shaft the transmission everything as that is what is needed with my truck the place installing it was also under this impression as I paid $10,000 for this tranny.  I had to pay them another $1000 dollars( not a small fee) for the high performance transmission which was what I had originally ordered. They should have sent the part if the transmission doesn’t come with it as I was guided that that is what was installed. I also bought the warranty. I went to pick my truck up and had to pay all labor parts and costs. This transmission is what was originally ordered which it states on the receipt I originally sent to you which I am attaching again. I am not the first person they have done this too in the last 6 months. I paid extra money for the warranty I want that sent to me as I paid for the warranty I also want my warranty to be started over and not terminated as they said they were going to do. This was not due to any negligence of my own. They need to state what transmissions are being installed including the internal shaft and other parts. I would have not gone with the tranny they put in as my truck is a built truck and it stated that on the order form they sent the wrong transmission and to get it replaced has cost me nearly $2000 and a lot of head aches job days missed and rental car fees. Again I paid for a 3 year warranty I hadn’t even had truck back 6 months. It is easier to call me you can email I work weird hours so it may take a few days to respond. Again this is not settled as they own me the money for the shaft and the warranty work in my eyes. I was told what they were putting in and they did not send the correct tranny.

    Kindest Regards,

This company ripped me off badly! They kept my car from Jan to June of this year. First, it took them 3 weeks to even tell me what they thought was wrong with it. After 3 weeks, they tell me it’s $4000. When I said I wasn’t paying $4000, the company owner told me that if I don’t pay them the money they wanted, which was originally $4000, that “I can’t guarantee that the car will work the way it did when you brought it in here.” They called me a few weeks later wanting $3000. I said I would have to see if I can come up with that. I finally say no, I want my car back. Then I call and call, leave numerous messages trying to pick the car up. They don’t return my calls for a couple of months. I had to drive there to speak with the owner to say I just want my car back. Then he dropped the charge to $2000. I pay that only to get the car returned with 10XS the issues than when I took it there. The car had every red light on the dash lit up & then wanted to charge me another $1500 to fix what they broke. And ultimately, they NEVER fixed the issue that was wrong with the car in the 1st place! They charged me for work on my transmission when there was nothing wrong with the transmission. They diagnosed it incorrectly. The issue is with my valve cover. My car wasn’t doing anything remotely related to a faulty transmission. When I got it back the new brakes & rotors I had recently put on it were stolen & replaced with old rusty ones. They broke the speedometer which no longer works. They did something to the airbags. The red light is on for that. They stole sensors from the car. They put a faulty mechanism in the left rear window. So when I couldn't afford what he wanted, he dropped the price & recouped it w/working parts from my car & said the issues were there when I brought it in. If that were the case, I would've said that when I when I dropped it off. The issue had NOTHING to do w/a transmission! They kept my car for 6 mos, never fixed the real issue & ruined other parts
