My wife and I are displeased with the representation of what we could expect with regard to a ceiling repair which they performed. The company quoted a price to repair and texture match, some damage to our ceiling which included cutting out a section of drywall, replacing it, and matching the stamped texture to the surrounding ceiling. Also included was to tape and plaster the edges of a separate small (approx 1 1/2 sq foot) patch on a wall near the baseboard which was "thrown into the deal" as I had already replaced the drywall at that location and only needed to "mud" the edges.***** (the franchisee) for Patchmaster visited our home and quoted $890 for the job and he indicated that he was highly skilled in matching textures ceilings and could do a quality repair with a good outcome. On the initial "repair visit" an employee (who did not speak English) cut out the damaged and surrounding area of the affected ceiling panel, cut a suitably sized patch and installed the patch, mudding around the perimeter which resulted in a substantially raised edge where the new and old surfaces met. Using my limited Spanish, I pointed out the uneven edge and he indicated that he would return the in a day or so to resolve that "uneven edge", and to complete the mudding/texture match of the repair.Instead, a week or so ****** ***** showed up and "completed" the repair. Bottom line is that the perimeter of the patch has an obvious uneven border, and the texture "mismatch" draws you attention as soon as you glance at the ceiling. We waited quite a while for the repair to dry before painting it with a few coats matching ceiling paint, After paying $890 for this repair we are very disappointed and feel that we were misled as to the skill level that Patchmaster represented to us.I advised "*****" via email and am waiting to see if he has anything to say about the work quality (or lack thereof)
