My car had an issue so I took it to my usual mechanic with whom I see often over the past 3 years. My mechanic knows my car well and has all of the past history of issues documented. My mechanic worked on my car and told me it needed additional work but the additional work was too expensive so I checked on google for a cheaper mechanic Shop. I found elite and decided to take my car to them. I picked my car up from ******** and took it home for 24 hours and the next day I took it to Elite to have the radiator fixed. I was told by my mechanic that it was the gasket so I was shocked when I took it to elite and they told me it was the radiator because I had no previous radiator issues. I dropped the car to elite on August 5th and I gave them the ok to fix the radiator.. all my windows and doors were working perfectly fine when I gave it to them. I returned today August 12.2022 to pick up my car and they broke my front drivers window!!! I showed up with a cardboard holding the window up and I was told that it wasn't their fault and the window had damage when I dropped it to them. This is a Lie!! All mechanical records from previous visits with my usual mechanic at ******** will show that my car windows were fine!! Elite didn't call me and let me know this or anything they just waited until I showed up and told me it wasn't their fault! They didn't try to rectify the situation or offer help to fix it or take any responsibility!!! They gave me back a car with a broken window and the mechanics of the window are completely broken!!! This is insane and unacceptable! I plan to sue! I'm left with a huge window repair bill when my window was working perfectly fine

      Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/16) */ I am not even interested in acknowledging this issue. The issues were addressed with the father who is the person that dropped off vehicle and signed the liability waiver. It came in with a blown out radiator and the work was approved and done. After the car had time to warm up and actually run without over heating, we were able to see that it would not stop purging air, which we were able to then test and see the head gasket was blown. Not sure what exactly the complaint is. The window that was broken when we walked out to the car and we wedged up for them so water didn't leak inside or the fact the head gasket is blown and it's not anything we are interested in fixing or what is the main concern. I'm pretty much over people trying to blame stuff on our guys and trying to get previous issues fixed for free. So I'm completely not interested in helping in anyway. I did what we were approved to do and did a favor for wedging a broken half open window up. Another thing that would need to be explained is how u break a window regulator when under the hood replacing a radiator. It's just not possible and I'm not interested in working on the car or I would have given an estimate to fix the problem. I always take care of issues that we either cause or may have missed as seen by our reputation. But this is pretty much an act of theft and I will not buy into anymore. If signed liability waiver is needed or any documents please let me know. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/08/18) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I do not accept their response and intend to take full legal action immediately. You can't have anyone sign a waiver on a car that doesn't belong to them and they aren't authorized or given permission to sign anything on my behalf so any fake waivers signed are null and void.( please learn your law) I can tell by your nasty response that you people are a trashy mechanic business with terrible customer service not to mention thieves! Stealing money from customers and stealing the parts off of our cars to use on other cars. I had my window looked at and not only is it broken but it's missing an internal part! You stole it! And thought I wouldn't notice. My fraudulent bill with you was over 700 dollars and I paid just fine on the day it was due all cash No problems paying so don't act like I need a free window from you people. Nobody is hurting for money over here as you can see. This is why you thought you could break my window and I wouldn't notice because I look like I have the money to fix it? No I look like I'll sue you so you misread me completely. To anyone reading this considering taking your car to these thieves make sure you look at their nasty rude response to confirm what type of people you are dealing with. This response sounds like a person that would steal parts off your car and not care. No reputable business who cares about customers and who cares about their name would ever respond in that manner or fashion. Sounds as guilty as can be even made sure the old man who dropped it off sign a waiver for a car that isn't his nor registered to him or his address to try to clear themselves of any wrong doing. Sounds like you've done this before. You just have liability waivers on stand m-by? Sounds suspect Fix my car or I'll dispute the entire charge with my bank. The cost of the window is about 600 so we will be even. Good day! Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/08/22) */ I am sorry for any misunderstanding, we don't install used parts so there would be no need to take parts off ur car to use for anything else. Those parts are readily available. I also apologize, I thought we were doin u a favor for wedging ur broken window up before it got rained in. The job ur father dropped it off for was completed as expected. The liability waiver gets signed by everyone that leaves a vehicle at the shop. It's for accidental damage such as someone running into ur vehicle or hurricane or whatever natural Disasters may occur. The job we got paid to do was done and was satisfactory. The window is something that was like that when my tech got into the vehicle. If someone is wanting to charge you $700 to fix that window u may want to chose somewhere else, that is far too expense. But regardless I'm sorry your not happy with things and hope you find a shop you like.
