November 10 2022 I arrived at LRH with a wound. They took an x ray. I thought after xray, there were no pieces stuck...Without informing properly someone sliced my foot before they discharged me around 1am, alone in my car without crutches. I was not informed incision, SURGERY occuring verbally or through any official pre consent form, explaining my options and the outcomes of it. I had been requesting tylenol, and thought they simply numb and "wash" it, then I could resume my daily activities. receptionist said I should be ok without my medications although reception was admitingly not certified to give medical advice. I didn't call an ambulance because when i asked another receptionist, they didnt know. A social worker instructed me to try to stand, walk to the door (I had to crawl... while I was still on phone informing her.) Said she would have manager follow up. I still dont know the surgeons name. Have not heard from a manager. There is a pin hole where the nail was, 1/2 inch ring around pin hole, they sliced. Referred to LRH pcp post surgery, can't get it until December because I am not an established patient, though I called within 3 days... I was NEVER informed of any possible outcome of nerve damage. I did not realize there was a hole in my foot until i took the bandage off, I immediately took a pic. Urgent care referred me back to work. The first doctor who would see me for f/u, a podiatrist separate from LRH I consulted 11/30/22 informed me that damage to my sciatic nerve will result in back pain, he said I still have a gaited walk which he informed me may be long term. When I visited LRH for anxiety less than a week prior to 11/10/22 I was able to consult the doctor by phone. But when I visited LRH for surgery I asked to speak to a doctor and I was told that its not an option. Require legit med skill reception, not just a high-school education tosit at hospital only transfering people without asking educated questions, triage, empathy, phone etiquette..Business Response

Hello, this all isn't necessary to say I'm sosorry i feel still feel the treatment I recieved at their practice, in being fair my follow up says it was their procedure why there is occord of it being medically necessary in remaining they bill my insurance an asceptic incision is unanswered to me and my family who say they had similar injuries never treated that way. My Grandfather comfort my father and I in saying my nerves will heal. My reprisal I request is LRH show proof to BBB they deny the insurance payment from the government for the distress they caused in having my foot but not properly instructing my care that day. The job the hospital did that day were paid about 5,000 for no asceptic procedure recieved it was an incision without my consent. In being serious, My agenda with BBB is LRH knew more than myself admitting the surgeon spoke to me but seemed to be from somewhere else, I'm concerned perhaps had been misguided by the Instructing physician. I remember saying "I forgive you" after called me sweet after i screamed "is it over?" Because i thought it was a quick irrigation and replied no one had said that before insinuated that i did good in not thrashing. I am concerned the doctors response that replied to me Dec 20th, because i did not have gait of step before this occured, and now if i go far, or run like the podiatrist said the limpiang is long term and my responses before and after would have been nice to know what I was paying for!!!!!! The pcp I soonest could find i followed up implied its my behavior causing all my pain & LRH did a good job, told me there is no sciatic nerve in my foot which i confronted as false and referred me against me interrogated me again I withhold knowing i couldnt trust making decisions to a person im hoping is ok to know but not sure but from LRH I'm sent off not understanding why they took my time, a piece of my body, my money, I asked the new pcp who would not give ear as soon as I mentioned surgery she unacknowledged how deep the cut, not listening my annual physical due or care for the wound but took a CBC & metabolic panel then referred me somewhere else, and charged the appointment to follow it up at LRH which i also specifically requested otherwise for my treatment. I intend to review the doctors I've been supervised by from when i landed in Florida to LRH, each sheet of paper is two cents & I bet they will charge me to pay the full price while they reap the piece of my foot I am so unprepared to speak without being able to afford the forms for my review with a counseling on what is happening around me.. in having confidence of my safety in being apart of the discussion of my health and body in SEEING how I WAS cared. I will never give up as an aunt that I will not stay hurt in my body exacerbated, treated as an abcess in factual time i stepped on the tack only hours before the ER visit, they exacerbate with hostility as their was never an abcess to disinfect. I have survived to 30 years. I felt a year after my graduation I began contributing better for my sisters and brothers then I'm literally grabbed by my foot like a nightmare a dream catcher. I was disabled where Im from after Mr. B**** of The children and families court I payed rent as an emancipate to and trusted his word and care, he knowing the law gave me to a stranger who attempted to take me to die from my family when i was 17. I am graduated for learning HIPPA in 2021. My clearance is in being granted my entitlement to HIPPA of being shown where LRH referred me in the dark these 10 years. in clear review pour my heart out its poison to say the apple of this city I forgive unrelenting they actually grasped me by the foot I literally was instructed to grab something and walk to my door i told her i had fallen and she was aware i was crawling around but, when I called that morning to go back in an ambulance I heard "I don't know" was immediately transferred eventually to the social worker who instead unwelcoming as this complaint was not for my response in that day, should have either acknowledged the care i was telling her i needed but was instructing i do it myself that was not physically possible. I recieved a call from ********** from "Tammy c***" at 3:59 pm Dec 20th saying she sent a letter attached with a different name than provided. I can't be better about this at the moment in time there's no turning earth back or leaving my home and family here. I am pleading BBB simply ask LRH concerning november 11th 2022 for the girl if you know was concerned protecting/favoring her foot why not kindly give instruction in her care and in being clear that not occuring my wellness embezzled!!! Things dissapear but the time we spend how good we make people feel and the little things we do in matter to this world recycles. I'm nervous in transferring these matters into a place i dont know who to call, its about my regimen, not reciprocating hurt feeling hurt and disabled but push up like a daisy past it. I'd feel much better that the people who did this that day, they wont just crap out supplemented income they're given of my health benefit was bounded an exacerbation not of my cause and in no explained requirement to LRH job November 10th 2022 from what Ive been told. I digress to my complaint recieved maidpro gave leave its never too late I hope this doesnt take my health career from me, Im stuck on my feet at work until I see and understand my whole record myself. Im told in most things of my body are healthy on foot only around 5 years ago I got my license in Florida I if im seeming of mental distress is rather simple that I'm unaware of whom I direct myself to and their intent in polk county, I am a country girl feeling denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. Again I guess I put my foot down here. LRH deliberately overlooked my care when I was down, I believe I will step with grace and mercy in my work one day but when he did this please don't let them take me a piece someones body without form or reason. im sending in haste before it is spent, LRH should take my crying for lack of continuity of being let know at least i would have to care for myself before they sent me off, I couldn't be followed up with for 3 weeks at LRH other than urgent care on the 14th. LRH volunteered me to this surgery withoutt asking in reduction of my loss of my body they did not ask, my loss of income over the holiday, LRH or BBB May 2022 God forbid I will continue to silently scream from the top of the green mountains drop you know what because you stole from me on veterans day, that makes me so angry. I'm so sorry I've been trying to say the right thing to this since 9am and I should be ok to put it down my friend from church is on her way to throw the couch the tack fell out of away for me. Can someone help me understand why LRH & affiliates have open their doors to take my money, permanently scarred my body with a mark they had me wait alone as people came and left the room unasking of what i would be capable of doing upon release as i did not know there was a hole in my foot until evening since i couldnt feed or bathe they said afterward when I spent hours wondering if I could be helped God forsake me it was ok they said i miss doses but the advil almost immediately relieved my nerves to make myself dinner on the crutches they had me crawl to when i had to have it transferred to a different pharmacy to afford it delivered, they interrogated me while their job was to prepare me to be released safely instead they made need for an ambulance be sent after me although I was ok to drive/walk, I had two tetanus boosters in the past two years, there was no debri, in the xray, they should be falling to their knees in respect to those smaller, how are they so consumed in what they recieve back in compensation when they are touching people's lives and making them better and happy needs to be enough in admitting this bad experience there. I am unrelenting to persist, I don't know who I am dealing with here, maybe be Mrs. Wanda I'm just so unsure where this message is going the BBB is investigating please this do i call someone in specific needing any information from me to organize exactly what happened, please excuse my stupidity in impression of concerning the hospitality I recieved, they can consider if I take an ambulance unconscious there, know now I need to go see if there something I need to wear or keep in my wallet that indicates I will be safer.

I recently had to go to Lakeland Regional ************** Emergency Room twice for Lower Abdominal pain, nausia, and complete loss of appetite. Had CT Scans and numerous tests both visits and got no diagnosis and no answers for problems. The bill for first visit was $15,648.59 and second was $17,308.93. I do have insurance and was left with nearly $2,400 that I was still responsible for. The first visit charge for CT Scan was $9,282 and second CT was $10,796. I had same scans done at ****** ****************** and was only charged $853. When I called **** and questioned charges was told that was average cost of scan and was nothing they could do about charges. They are taking advantage of people when they really need help and getting away with it. Would like someone to help me resolve these over charges for medical care.
