    I went to ******** in ******** for a birthday party. Weve never been there and didnt plan on coming again but somehow got signed up for the membership. I told the employee signing us up this was a one time thing and also had three kids with me. So I paid $77 at the time but then got billed another $77 in December. I called and the employee told me to first cancel it online and then email the company for the refund. The company responded with since I signed the membership I cant get a refund. This just doesnt seem right to me. We havent been since that one time and it cost me $154.

    Good morning, 

     

    This guest did sign up for memberships when she visited us on November 11th. At the time we were doing a special on memberships were you will receive free ***** passes for each membership you purchase. She was made aware by our team member that it was a reoccurring charge and when we sent her the membership agreement link through a text message it states in big bold letters right at the top that it is an automatic reoccurring charge unless cancelled within 3-4 days of the next payment and she signed it and submitted it to us. It will ask the guest twice if they are sure they agree to the terms.   It wasn't until the 13th of December, (two days after the payment came out) that we heard back from her stating she was unaware of the automatic payment system. We helped her cancel the account and offered her gift cards and a jump credit and that she could still use her membership for the remainder of the month. Our corporate office spoke to her on several occasions (Dec. 13th, 16th, 21st, and 23rd) trying to rectify the situation. She was unhappy with anything other than a refund so our corporate office issued her one on 12/23/2024. If you have any other questions please let us know.
