    June 2, 2023, a unit above my unit had a water leak. Maintenance had a mold remediation company run two fans for about one week in my apartment. September 13, 2023, I put in a work order for the smell in the apartment and stated it smelled like mold and/or mildew and that the smell originated from the laundry room area, one of the areas where the water damage was located. I also indicated in my work order that the problem has been happening for approximately two months. October 11, 2023, the work order on September 13, 2023, was closed, without fixing the problems. November 21, 2023, I informed the manager about the smell coming from the laundry room area and the health problems I have been having. November 30, 2023, I received a response stating that, I'm going to speak with *** today and will get back to you shortly. January 2, 2024, I sent a Notice to Landlord per Florida Statutes via certified mailed and hand delivery. January 3, 2024, I received an email from the manager they will be by in the afternoon. They told me to wipe the inside of the washer and they will replace the rubber ring in the washer. January 22, 2024, I received an email from the manager stating, we will look into replacing the rubber ring, I will get with the maintenance team and get back to you. February 17, 2024, I sent an email to the manager stating that I will be moving out by February 29, 2024, because nothing was fixed, the smells are still there, and my health is getting worse.

    The property has inspected the apartment regarding the complaints and has not found any evidence of elevated mold or that the apartment is uninhabitable in any manner. Therefore, the terms of the lease remain in effect. We will continue to comply with our obligations under the lease and law.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    The Regional Property Manager (*****************************) and the Business Manager (*******************) had multiple opportunities to come by the apartment to investigate the odors, but neither came by on the scheduled dates and times or even bothered to reschedule for missing the appointments. Now,after I have moved out, the apartment was inspected and there has not found any evidence of elevated mold or that the apartment is uninhabitable in any manner. On January 3, 2024,two of the maintenance men were there and acknowledged the smell coming from the laundry room. I have a witness that heard me ask them if they were able to smell the odors coming from the laundry room area and their response in the affirmative that the maintenance men were able to smell the odors. My concerns were the moldy/mildewy smell/odors coming from the laundry room. Their response is lacking and too much of a convenience for them to inspect after I left the apartment and there is no one but themselves to corroborate their story. While I was at the apartment and brought it to their attention about September 2023, not once did they come by the apartment to smell the odors, but when I moved out, all of a sudden, they are at the apartment and there are no odors.
