Lecanto Veterinary Hospital Response

Mrs. Pam ***** was a client of Lecanto Veterinary Hospital until the summer of 2015. After reading disparaging comments on social media regarding our practice, we decided to discontinue all services as of June 2015. Records were sent to the client along with a letter regarding this decision.
In August of 2015, Mrs. ***** called to make an appointment but was again told she was not a client and services were discontinued for her and her pets.
In August of 2019, after a name change, Mrs. ******* (Formerly *****) made an appointment as a new client for a sick puppy. While in the exam room, Mrs. ******* was recognized as the same client that was fired several years prior. After determining the puppy was stable enough to transfer to one of the three other hospitals within 5 miles of our location, Mrs. ******* was again informed that she was not a client and we would not provide her with veterinary services. Mrs. ******* hastily left without further discussion.
Mrs. ******* (*****) was well aware of her status at our facility but felt that a name change and several years may allow her to regain service as a new client. While we appreciate the confidence that she has in our medical abilities, we are well within our rights to discontinue services for clients that we feel would be better served elsewhere.
We wish Mrs. ******* the best moving forward.
