I am filing a formal complaint against White Aluminum due to their failure to fulfill promises, lack of communication, and unprofessional conduct. On 7/29/24, I engaged White Aluminum for enclosed screen room. Despite repeated assurances, it has now been 34 weeks promised 16, and the job remains incomplete. Throughout this time, I have made over 15 documented attempts to get updates, yet I have received little to no **************** make matters worse, the company is now demanding payment, despite their failure to deliver on their commitments. This is completely unacceptable, and I believe their business practices are deceptive and unprofessional.I am seeking an immediate resolution.

I am rejecting this response because,

I appreciate your response, but I would like to address several issues:
      1. Writing in all capital letters does not make something correct. Facts and documentation do.
      2. The number of calls listed in your response does not match my documented records. There were more calls made regarding this issue.
      3. No one contacted me for an inspection on 1/2, despite my being home all day.
      4. It is unreasonable for a job that should have completed on 1/2/2025 to be delayed until 3/27/2025. This delay reflects negligence, and I believe a reasonable resolution should acknowledge this.
      5. The fan beams I requested are not present, and I was not given any explanation regarding this aspect of the installation.

I expect a response that addresses these concerns and provides a fair resolution. Please let me know how you intend to proceed.

      Sincerely,

I apologize that typing in cap locks offended the customer, habit from data entry all day.

There are two fan beams installed on this customer job; Invoice attached.  The composite roof is made by Structall, and the fan beam are built internally in the panel.  Installers mark fan beam locations at the header with pencil marks.

There was a change in ********************* in January 2025 and the current Production Manager is following up on failed inspections and past due payments. Regardless of this change customer has an obligation to pay for contract completed for a new screen room w/concrete on his home and final payment will be pursued.

I am rejecting this response because:

Once again, Im left wondering if Im supposed to be a mind reader or using telekinesis to figure things out. Simply showing me an invoice does absolutely nothing because, last I checked, I dont have X-ray vision. None of this was explained to me, and I shouldnt have to guess whats going on.

If you actually want to resolve this, try providing a proper breakdown instead of assuming I magically know whats missing. Let me know when youre ready to do that.

I am a 75 year old widow that is being taken advantage of!! I contracted this company to replace and add shutters and my window c view awning on 1/10/25. On 1/13/25 the company cashed my down payment of $1025. On 1/14/25 I was sent an email from the salesman raising the price by an additional $750. I called him to complain about it and was told if I didnt agree to it they just wouldnt do anything about it. So I agreed! After thinking about it I called the office in *********** and spoke to ******* who told me to put it in writing and she would forward it to the corporate office. I did so immediately. After 5 separate phone calls each week looking for my money back Im still being told its with corporate whoever that is. There are 5 separate locations/offices. I signed a contract with the company on 8/28/24 for building a screened porch and paid $2,450 as an initial deposit with Discover card on 9/16/24. This is January 2025 and nothing happened as agreed. For some time, the office manager in *********** branch keep saying that they are waiting for permit from the county. Then last month, the office manager said, they got the permit and going to order the supplies soon. Last week, I was told that they are scheduled to come on 1/16/25 but they never showed up. I am tied of called them and receiving false promises and I am beginning to think this is either a scam or fraud business I fell for it. Now I saw the customer reviews with one star rating which I believe they are not honest company or loyal to the customers. I plead ******************** to help me either to get my deposit back or finish the project as agreed. Thank you in advance.

The pictures provided by the customer are a mis representation of the completed job, they are in progress pictures of the installation provided by White Aluminum.  The customer was provided multiple options on a carport prior to choosing one and executing their contract.  White Aluminum will not be providing any other work at this residence other than the knee brace requested by Polk County to be replaced.

Yes, that is correct. what would be a good day to stop by?
I will be full tomorrow .I can do Monday afternoon if that works for y'all.

The crew that installed the carport only stated that they could only follow the plans as their structural engineer designed it. It is obvious that the structural engineer was never told that it was to be designed and they designed our neighbors when White Aluminum built that carport. They started the work in May without telling us when the contract clearly states the work was to be scheduled for November (exhibit 2) so that by the time we even know they were working at our house our Awnings were disposed of, our deck railing was compromise, siding was taken down from the front of our house and there was a hole dug in our front yard forcing us to allow the build to move forward with the expectation they would build it as they agreed to build it. We were not informed of any changes to the agreed plan and were not given any options. The panels not being locked in reduces the rigidity of the
hole structure and will require additional maintenance to keep the structure from leaking. We want the beam raised to be like our neighbors and the roof panels locked in. I am attaching pictures showing the height of our beam from the top of the carport and the height of our neighbors beam from the top of his carport. You can see our beam along the front of the carport is 10 inches lower. Keeping the beam as high as our neighbors was a key condition to accepting the contract as our emails above indicate. Just because I am over seventy years old does not give them the right to disregard what was agreed to. If the work would have been done in November as indicated on the contract we would have removed the awnings and reused them.

A White Aluminum salesperson came to give me an estimate to screen the entry to my home on May 31, 2024. I gave a deposit of $516.00 that same day and signed a "sales contract" which states 6 weeks to start work. Approximately 2 weeks later, I attempted to inquire when I would be given an install date. I was told they would contact me once the materials were received. The 6 week deadline was July 7th, and I had still not heard anything from them, so I called again and was told that the materials were ordered but had not been delivered yet. I asked when they would be delivered and they said they would have to look into it. I heard nothing later that day and nothing again yesterday so I called again. Today I was told the exact same thing, that the materials had not been delivered. I asked for the manager to contact me and stated at this point I wanted to cancel and get my deposit back because they were now in Breach of Contract and were failing to provide me with adequate information. The girl said she would give the message to "*******". I did not hear from him or anyone else so I called and left a message for the general manager, *********************, and also emailed her about the issue, again saying I wanted to cancel and get a refund since I no longer wanted to do business with them under the circumstances. I did not hear back from *************** either. This company has no regard for customers and no communication protocol. They should not be allowed to take money from customers and then not fulfill their obligations. They don't even make an effort to follow up on orders or communicate with customers to put our minds at rest. I wish I had seen the other complaints about this company prior to giving a deposit because if I had, I never would have considered doing business with them. Most likely there are many others who experienced the same treatment but just didn't file a complaint here.

When White Aluminum enters a contract, we try to always give our best estimate on timeframe for completion based on our last several contract timelines.  There are factors that play into this from the manufacturer, engineering and the permitting that go beyond our direct control.   The material for this job was ordered from the manufacturer and has been delivered. The customer has been scheduled next week for her install.

We sincerely Thank her for her patience on the completion of her installation.

I am hopeful that the issue will be resolved by next week, but until then, I can't be sure.

I had not been receiving responses from my inquiries even after the 6 week contractual timeline was reached. It was not an "estimated timeframe", the contract specifically stated that work would start in 6 weeks. That didn't happen and no one had contacted me with an reason why. It wasn't until after I submitted my complaint and attempted to contact the general manager of the business that they finally checked on my materials and were told by the manufacturer they would be delivered to the business' warehouse the following week, which was yesterday. I hadn't heard anything so sent the general manager a follow up email asking if the materials were delivered. I finally got a call from the other manager, *******, late this afternoon. He advised they did have the materials and we could schedule the install. Due to other work I am having done I have to wait until that work is done, so we scheduled the install for Tuesday of next week. I will close the complaint as long as the install does take place on Tuesday and upon satisfactory completion of the job. Nevertheless it was overall not a good experience and I do hope the company stays on top of their customer's order status and provides sufficient communication to their customers going forward.

White Aluminum installed a new roof over our carport and sunroom. After 8 visits the leaks in the carport were finally fixed. The whole project had to be completely taken apart and redone to correct the problem. *** we have a leak in the sunroom. They have responded three times, and the leaks are still there. *** when we call the office, we get the usual response: "I will have the "person" call you. We have a warranty still in effect and White Aluminum seems to be dragging their feet fixing this latest issue. It has been at least two months since we reported this problem. The carport still had a balance due while the leaks were being taken care of. *** that the balance has been paid, we are not getting any response to the new leaks. Similar to the carport, the sunroom roof may need to be taken apart and redone to fix the leak; White Aluminum does not appear to be interested in fixing the leak. *** the rainy season is upon us and the carpet and furniture in our sunroom are in danger of being damaged by water and mold. White Aluminum will be happy to come back and address this new issue you are experiencing.  We will be sending out a Field Supervisor to assess what is occurring and discuss with the installer so we will have all our very experienced personnel involved to ensure you get the results we all want.    White Aluminum does offer a two year warranty and it is our pleasure to always honor that.  White Aluminum came back out as you stated and even went to great lengths to address your previous concern by completely removing and reinstalling the entire carport addition.  Your satisfaction is very important to us.

I hired white aluminum to Extend my porch with a foam insulated roof with electrical within as well as screen the room in and screen in my existing outdoor kitchen on April 4 of 2024. I signed a contract with them and gave them a deposit of $7679 which they have cashed. I have called multiple times and continue to be told that my job is in engineering. I contacted Hillsboro county permitting department and as of May 28, 2024 White aluminum has not applied for any permit for my home. The job was supposed to start in a few weeks and clearly they have done nothing to begin the job. When I call them, Im just told its an engineering and nobody can give me any status. They arrived week of 1/29/24 worked on removing damaged material and started replacing with new. The work progressed a couple of days then just stopped and left our job unfinished along with 3 large black plastic bags of dump. I am rejecting this response because: White's Aluminum contacted us and showed up on 4/15/24.  Two men worked on the roof over and explained they sealed the roof over to prevent leaks.  They also put a Cap on the new gutter left side of screen room.  The moisture/rain runs down the seam that was caulked.

We are not sure at this time if the work they did on the roof over will prevent leaking as we have had very little rain.

on 4/15/24 White Aluminum sent two men to work on the leaks and cap a gutter they placed on the left die of the screen room.  They said they sealed the roof over and placed a cap on the gutter.  It rained and the newly placed cap leaked.  I contacted them and they kept telling me what my balance was that I could withhold 10% and pay the rest of the balance due but no indication they would fix the leak.  The next day they sent a man to caulk around the capped gutter they placed on 4/15/24.   On 4/30/24 we went to the office of White Aluminum and paid all but the 10% as the contract states.  As soon as we have enough rain to test the seal they used on the roof over and it shows no leaking we will paid the 10% balance.

So this is not a COMPLETED JOB until then.

I had a carport roof extenstion put on by White Aluminum and have had leaks from the very first rainfall that occurred. They have sent several different people over to try to take care of the leaks but they continue. It is very poor workmanship. Although some of the leaks have been taken care of by some kind of paint, sealer, or whatever, ( like putting a bandaid on something, because you don't know how long it will hold up) I still have a few major leaks. When it rains the roof leaks down on my car then onto the driveway. I have videos, pictures showing this that are also dated, on my phone and computer and also notes and pictures that I have sent this company. I had wanted to enclose part of this, however with a leaking roof, can never be used partially as a screen room.

White Aluminum is actively working with the homeowner to resolve the drip she is experiencing in her carport extension.

I signed a contract on February 14, 2023 for work to be performed by White Aluminum in Fort Myers. The sales agent that came to my home was not very educated in the company's products nor was his sidekick who looked like a homeless woman off the streets that tagged along with him for his sales call. I agreed to do business if someone were to come out and measure and to discuss exactly what I wanted completed with the windows as they had to be custom cut. I signed a contract as I was informed I needed to for someone to come out and measure and no one ever came out. I was required to leave a deposit of $2786. Ultimately, I needed to cancel the job a few weeks later anyway as it was tied into a roof that was going to be installed that was installed incorrectly after I signed the contract with White Aluminum. There were many issues with the roofing contractor that caused many delays and ultimately the windows were not going to work for what I had planned on installing and therefore, I needed to cancel. I called numerous times over the last several months (over 20) and left multiple messages and was told that corporate would not have a decision for 2-3 months. Well, it's been 5 months and no one has returned my call and there is still no decision. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM AND KEEPS YOUR MONEY AND DOES NOT DO THE WORK AS I HAVE BEEN INFORMED BY MANY OTHER CLIENTS AND THEY KEEP YOUR DEPOSIT FOR NOT DOING A DAMN THING EXCEPT SHOWING UP TO YOUR HOME FOR AN HOUR TO GET YOU TO SIGN A CONTRACT AND KEEP YOUR DEPOSIT! BUYERS BEWARE! I am now suing this company. Anyone is welcome to join me for a class action law suit!

We apologize for any inconvenience of your project. We uphold all legal rights for canceling contracts. Under Florida state law you have 3 days to cancel your contract with a full refund. Upon Mr. ******* original request (several weeks post signature) to have the contract postponed rather than cancelled, we cordially obliged to allow him time to correct issues with his other contractor. Our contract was in place for many weeks and had already been engineered and permitted before the issues you had with your other home contractor caused you to want to cancel this one.  Please understand that we have put many hours of work into your project and incurred many expenses. At this point we are not able to offer a full refund. Once these expenses are fully calculated a partial refund check will be mailed to you.

These are all lies!  It was never engineered or permitted as the project was on hold.  I attempted to call dozens of times to no avail as no one would ever return my call.  These people are thieves and liars and to this day, NO ONE has returned my call to discuss even a refund in what may have been leftover (which should be all of it as it was never engineered or permitted) and this contract was signed in February, 7 months ago!  It takes that long to resolve???  They want to keep the money for doing nothing as that is evident in they never return calls.  Please do not remove my compliant as the community has the right to know how these people operate.  Please see google reviews from dozens of other people as they are slandered all over due to their unethical business practices.
