A.A.R. Roofing LLC Ms. ******* Contractor calls me on 02/14/24 ***** AM. I'm a nurse's assistant, I can't answer the call, why? I'm busy assisting my patient, I'm calling ******************* contractor A.A.R. ******* LLC She doesn't answer my call I leave her a kind message wishing her and her husband a happy Valentines day but then she sends a text message and tells me to call her urgently that she was talking to my Flagstar home loan bank. I call her and she starts telling me why? She was charging more from the construction of the roof her fees were only $23060 which that amount she was responsible and that she had sent her a letter from the *** a form indicating the total amount of ******** *** form $ and that she had to pay the difference of $2811.59 since she was not responsible for that money, she told me that I had to pay it ... I told her that I had no money and that I did not have to pay anything to her ********************************* . She insisted saying the contractor *********************************. That I had to give her my social security to claim me as her employee to be able to collect that money .... I told her that I wouldn't give her my social security and that I didn't know what she was talking about ??? ******************* told me that I was going to ask for one I would attend the *** and the ************* where I have my loan for fraud and scam I told her that I would call the ************* to see what was going on however this woman kept insulting me as a thief scammer !!!., telling me that I couldnt call whoever I wanted ... I told her that I have no problem with the audit with the *** .. Annoyed and offended by total disrespect of this company ********* I called my ************* and ask for more information about the tax return after talking a whole day with the Bank Flagstar putting my patient in a very uncomfortable situation, at 5:30 pm the ******************** informs me that the total amount of the debt was $******** and that they were in the name of my person and the name of ******************* contractor ********** that money was paid I told him that I had hired an Alconeros Adjuster and that this company also paid the fees that were ******* $ check # **** date 04/25/23 proof that was sent immediately to the ************* since they did not give me any other disbursement until I sent them receipt and proof of where the money was directed **** indicate that this flagstar bank was one of the most conflicting and harmful banks in my mental and monetary health since for reasons of this bank I have paid a lot of money For the good insurer that they explained to me since they didn't want to give money to take out the solar panels that were on my roof to build my roof ..I have sent all the required documentation to ************* so that they can make a scare of the *** tax return because for not ordering the corresponding payments to the indicated companies since the flagstar bank and the Department claims have all the information to report to the ***, my weight does not have an abscess and that is not my job to report to the *** of all the cost that caused the property damage on Hurricane ***. This company ********** being that this person ******* worked in a bank all her life and has many contacts and connections use her influences with the ************* to be able to scam me and get me in trouble with the ***, asking for my $$$ and calling my flagstar bank as if she were the owner ..Giving him work by paying a lot of money to this company *********** is not possible that they are operating as a company, they must remove it from the system and cancel their certifications. I have to mention on 12/02/24 I received a call from my bank suncoast banks 7:15 pm I suspect a fraudulent transaction with my bank's cloned phone. I called my bank and I also made a complaint to investigate what happened, as these criminal criminals could not steal from me that night of my birthday.. they called Flagstar to see if they could steal from them through my bank flagstar with the *** statement these people not only need to be sanctioned but also to put them in jail.

      Business response

      02/20/2024

      Good afternoon,

***** here is my respond to complaint.

      In response to complainant *************************** Case # 2 1 3 1 1 1 0 3

On February 23rd. 2023, Allisons Affordable Roofing entered into an agreement with Vania ********, homeowner at ***************************. ************, **. *****. Our contract was for $22,800 to tear down and replace a shingle roof, and in which wood repairs would be charged an extra $120.00 per repair. We received 5 checks with different amounts during the course of 8 months, and we were very happy to have the roof paid in full by September 29th, 2023. We immediately sent her a paid invoice and thanked her for her business. The total paid by Vania ******** including wood repairs was $23,060.

Since the beginning of our business relationship with ***** she stated that she was in a dispute with a local Insurance Adjuster named Alconero and Associates due to a breach of contract. She asked us for assistance in understanding the legalities of what was going on. We gratefully listened and helped her with translation services many times with her own legal issues with other people she was involved with, and at no time we were judgmental against her person, we did everything in good faith knowing that she was a single mother, who spoke broken English, and much less understood the legalities of these type of transactions. We even helped her find a company from ***** to help her with her solar panel removal and re-installation.

On February 2nd, 2024. We received a 1099-*** form from *************************** **************** Flagstar, indicating an amount paid to Allisons Affordable Roofing of $25,871.59 (in excess of $2,811.59) to report in our business taxes. We immediately contacted her **************** and pointed out the overage amount and they agreed to open an investigation/research. During the outcome of the investigation **** from Flagstar Mortgage, offered to send us copies of all checks paid to ***************************. Thats how we acquired the copies of the checks, and not by committing fraud or using influence with the local bank as she implied on the complaint.

On February 14th 2023 we contacted *************************** regarding the overage reported by the bank on form 1099-***. We encountered hostility from the beginning of the conversation. She became defensive, belligerent, and refused to cooperate telling us it was our problem and that she had nothing to do with. Her bank suggested we issue her a 1099-*** so she could pass it to whomever she paid those funds to, but she has twisted our words, and has gone to the extent of accusing, and trying to discredit our company for no reason at all.
We do understand that this caught her by surprise, but we were more surprised to find out she has become a complete different person on the phone, and she even hung up during our conversation. Do to her prior hostility, and lack of communications skills from Vania, we contacted her **************** and ***************** again, we was told this case is still pending resolution.

On the same day Feb. 14th , *************************** contacted her mortgage company and based on a voice mail she left us, she said they requested Allisons Affordable Roofing send them a letter with the correct amount of funds paid by her and she also stated the bank is going to reserve the right to solve this problem or not. We immediately issued the letter and attached a copy of all checks totaling $23,060.00 and texted it to her via pdf but we havent heard from her since then, until the day of this complaint.

We, at Allisons Affordable Roofing, are saddened by this unfortunate event, and in disbelief of how *************************** has acted in this situation. All we ask is for a resolution/correction of the 1099-*** form, its only the right thing to do! We cant pay taxes on funds we didnt receive. *************************** could not deviate and twist this history from the truth. All she needs to do is call her **************** or ***************** rather, and state that indeed there is a mistake on the amount of funds received by us, and it needs correction thats it!

We are not concerned about the difference in funds and how she spend it, as consumers we all see the impact on how some people has taken advantage of unjustifiable claims, if she feels she was put on the spot for keeping extra funds to herself, that will come out to light during her insurance audit, we wish her the best whether this case is going to be corrected or not. Our company is well known for doing the right thing, for helping people in need, and for having the lowest prices in the market even during and after a catastrophe such as ***. Our last word to Vania is good luck to you, and may *** bless you and guide you through paths of righteousness, because the truth will prevail.
