      My experience with this business was unprofessional to say the least. I was told the solar hot water heater would pay for itself in savings on my power bill. I was also told of a government tax credit would be applied to help with the installation cost. A single solar panel was installed on the shaded side of my roof never allowing it to benefit from sun light. This in turn caused the larger capacity heater to run off of electricity only. In fact I experienced no savings. When we filed our taxes we found out we did not qualify for the tax credit. When we contacted Homewise I was told they had explained to me I had to qualify for the tax credit and that there were stipulations and it was my responsibility. They explained there was no guarantee I would qualify. This was not the pitch I got from the salesman. They offered only advice on things I could improve on such as insulating my wall sockets etc. I filed a complaint with the ***. I was offered and accepted a thousand dollars and threatened with legal action if I chose to persist with my false claims and slander. This coming from the Cheif executive officer of Homewise. I have since removed the system with the exception of the solar adic fan. I have been told by other installers one panel was insufficient. I regret not doing my research that responsibility falls on my shoulders. Do your homework before spending thousands to save a few. The installers did do an excellent job installing the system and plumbing. I wish it had been installed on the opossing side of the roof in direct sunlight. This would have made a difference In my opinion. This happened years ago but I'm still paying for my mistake.
