*****************************, operating as a roofer, under the lic. of Malphus and Son, GC. Signed a contract with the board of our 3 unit condo in ****************** to redo the flat roof area of our building. A check for $8,000 was given as a deposit and cashed. After a string of excuses including a wife suddenly ill with ***** and his father's death in ******, requiring his attendance, etc., etc., the work was never done and deposit never returned. The few times he showed up and pretended to do some minor things on the roof, he only started leaks. DO NOT hire this person to do any kind of work!

This company complete two jobs for me in 2023. I signed a third contract for the purchase and installation of awnings and shutters on my mobile home. They were given $1950 for 50% deposit in April. Finally was told that they had dropped the ball. We mutually agreed that they would return my deposit and I would find another source in Sept. The deposit has not yet been received by me. In our last conversation, they were trying to get my fund to me by year end. This is December 28th and I haven't heard from them in week and still no refund. Cheryl *

I'm an elderly woman woman. My disabled daughter arranged for them to do the work. They overcharged me for the work and I have cash and other items missing from my home. The worker's wife was in our home and she does not work for the company. After she left, that's when we noticed cash and items missing. We will be filing a complaint with the ***

I hired Daniel C******* or Daniel C**** (Malphus & Son's General Contractors Inc.) (Business # ccc1327100) don't know his correct name six months ago to do my roof. He gave an estimate of 9,000 and ask to give him 5,000 to start and the rest when he completed the work. Its been six months he hasn't finished the job, my roof is leaking, he always come with an excuse why he's not showing. Just very unreliable person.
