I hired Nationwide Movers @ *************************************************************************************************** to move us from Long Island to ***********, **. From the very beginning, I was led to believe that the movers that picked up the items would be the same movers delivering the property. They were to send a specific truck with a lift as we were adding a motorcycle that could not be driven on to the truck. They did not. We waited 7 hours for them to return with the proper truck which still could not load the motorcycle. We were told that the truck that picked up our property would be the same truck that would be driven down to *******. it was not. Our property was off-loaded and re-loaded several times resulting in severe damages. Thank God we opted to remove the motorcycle and ship it with another company. When our furniture arrived, it was crammed into a 50 ft truck with no regard for the condition. The legs were torn off our grill, a vinyl hottub was torn, two adirondack chairs were destroyed (arms broken off), a steel bakers rack was bent, a box spring was torn, a office fixture was severely scratched and the movers destroyed my ceramic doorway tile by dragging a hand truck over it. I had to go to my cc company to get reimbursed for the "motorcycle" deposit as the "executive relocation consultant" ***** refused to refund me even though they could not load the bike. Now I"m chasing after an "insurance" company that has yet to respond to my initial claim. This is the worst kind of FRAUD there is. To entrust your property to a company who treats it with such disregard and a "what are you going to do about it" attitude.... is sinful. I would like resolution on the damaged property. I've had to replace the Grill already, and purchase adirondack chairs.

I hired this company to move me from **************** to ********. They picked up my belongings on May 22nd, 2022. This company never delivered my belongings as promised and every time I call to inquire about them, I am given a runaround and different answers. They told me that *** Relocation is the company that has my belongings someplace in ******** ********. This is unacceptable. I entrusted them and they have stolen my belongings.

On 3/16/22 I received an estimate for my move from **********, ** to *************, ** to take place on 7/28/22 for the total amount of $3,135.75. On 4/9/22 I paid the deposit of $1,034.75 and signed all the documents virtually. On 6/28/22 I received a text from ***************) a person that went by the name *****, this is what it said: "Hi! This is Suany. I have to apologize for this last minute message but we have to cancel your move. Our company partner who we had a contract with, has forced us to lie to our customers. We are a broker, not a carrier. We will be issuing you a refund for your deposit. My sincerest apologies." I have yet to receive my refund of $1,034.75. I have tried multiple times to contact that number, with no response. When I did get to talk to someone, they claim that it shows that the move did happen and to submit a bill of lading, I can't because the move by them didn't happen. They would not provide an email address for me to send my documents (the initial estimate, signed contract, and receipts of payment to process the deposit. I ended up having to find another company moving company and paying twice as much as this estimate due to the short notice. I would like a refund of my initial deposit of $1,034.75

May 29th 2022, I contacted Nationwide Movers for an estimate for a mover from Prosper TX to Garden City New York, I was promised over the phone that the move would take only 5 to 10 days, I believed the promises and signed the contract based on what was promised and high pressure sales techniques including not telling me over the phone they where a broker they said "We are a full service moving company and if you sign today you will get a discount" I signed and paid the deposit of 1950.00 the movers came on June 1 and stated they could not get a semi in the neighborhood so they had to use a smaller truck but would move it directly to a semi, which was a lie, they loaded our belongings and took them straight to a storage unit. First available date of delivery on the contract was 2 june, I called several times to find out the status of my shipment and was told excuses, the guy in dallas was sick, its a jewish holiday, we cant find your paperwork, When i called and finally talked with someone and told them that according to online research you have only 21 business days to deliver my belongings per law, they said nope there is no such thing and the contract says 30 business days. so on the 21 st business day i sent an email directly to the sales rep and told him as of the 30 business day if my belongings are not delivered i will file theft charges against Nationwide and it is Nationwide responsibility from no on to notify me as i would no longer contact them. 3 days later I got a phone call that the belongings where being loaded and will be delivered in 5 business days which they where delivered on July 12th 2022. Because their is a law that clearly states a moving company can only hold my items for 21 business days I am requesting a full refund of my deposit for breach of contract of amount of 1340.00

I contacted Nationwide on 03/09/22 for a moving quote, and spoke with Collin who obtained my address. He pulled up my house online (using Zillow I believe) and viewed pictures of the interior. Together, we went through each room, via pictures Collin had in front of him. I also reviewed each item to be packed inside cabinets, closets, etc. Collin then provided a quote for both the moving ($6603) and storage costs ($600/month), and I paid the deposit. We scheduled the move over a two-day period in late April. The day before the move, Nationwide called to say they were pushing our move back a day. Then, on the original move day, I received another call stating they actually could move us that day. Nationwide's contracted movers, Atlas Van Lines, showed up late, evaluated what needed to be packed, and stated Nationwide's quote was too low. The lead mover also stated this is a common experience, and gave me a new quote of $8836, a difference of $2,233. But it gets worse. At the end of the moving day, the movers left the majority of our furniture and household items and significantly overcharged us for packing materials. The next day, I waited for the movers to come and finish the move. No one showed. I called Nationwide and they said they couldn't get someone back out for several days. I let them know we needed someone immediately as the new buyers were moving in in a couple days. Nationwide was able to get Atlas to come back a day late. When Atlas arrived back at the house, they told us we owed an additional $9232 for that day's move. So our original quote was $6603, but we were charged a total of $18,068 ($8836 for day 1 + $9232 for day 2), a difference of $11,464. To top it off, Atlas stated our new storage costs would $1260/month, not $600. I've been promised a credit of $1751 from Atlas due to their movers grossly overcharging us for moving materials, however, this credit has not yet been realized.

Scheduled movers a week ago through moveforfree.com to move in my apartment April 29th 2022. The moving company name is Nationwide movers in Houston TX. Nationwide movers never came to move me. Nationwide scheduled my move for 8am - 11am. The movers called me and said they were running late and they would be here for noon. Then they called back and said they be here at 12:40. They never showed up. They called me at 6pm and told me they were 30 mins away and never showed and never called nor answered my calls. I called Nationwide and now they won't answer. Wow. What a sad company. I am definitely reporting them all over the state. I'll do whatever it takes to get them out of business. Iv been waiting with no calls to move my furniture in my apartment today sense I paid for today to move in early. I missed dinner with my wife and kids. I'm so angry. Moveforfree.com set all of this up and this is the results. Sitting In the dark with no lights and in a home that is all boxed up. Moveforfree manager jenny is trying to fix this but when I ask her will I ever have movers, she doesn't respond. What did I do to deserve this. I worked all night at work and came home to pack without sleeping. Now this. Everyone in TX will know about this.

When we contacted Nationwide for a quote, we carefully reviewed with them every single item we would be moving. We later reaffirmed our items list so as to ensure the quote we received would be accurate. Following repeated assurances from Nationwide, when moving day came and Bristol Movers of New Jersey arrived, they attempted to extort us for an additional 50%+. While we negotiated a slightly lower price, the Nationwide quote was an intentional lowball so as to secure a deposit and hold us hostage on moving day. They also lied about timing, telling us that our belongings would arrive within 5-7 days. The company they contracted had no intentions of upholding this timeline and told us we should be happy that they delivered some items almost 2 weeks later. But the most remarkable part of the experience is this - the truck carrying the final load of our move crashed while en route to us. Nationwide and Bristol have been unwilling to work with us and our insurer to clean things up and move on. Both have been unwilling to offer refunds for services not rendered (items not delivered, setup services not performed). I doubt they will cover the $2,000+ in damage to property that was delivered or pay to repair the gouges in our hardwood floors. Upon initiating a chargeback against Nationwide, they called us and had the gall to demand we reverse it or they would jerk us around on the property damage claims. Specifically, I was told that if I didn't reverse it and called back in a month looking for help that I would be told to "f off". Charming. And perfectly representative of the level of service we have received throughout this experience.

I started the quote process with Nationwide on 10/15. The process from the beginning was flawed I was asked to guess how many boxes and a pickup date was entered. The movers arrived 8 hours late and explained the move calculator software had under quoted me by 50%. My $3k+ move was now $6k+. I was instructed by Nationwide to give the delivery when I paid the pickup and upcharge fee. I told the driver DEC 15th. He assured me the second member of the crew would be there to off load on 12/15. Today the Expeditor said "just kidding" we don't have to deliver for 30 day after the date I gave the driver as the date I expected. The company has given me no update and left me in limbo. At best this is flawed software, worst case it is a scam to put other loads ahead. I asked for an update of where my load is. The company failed to reply. Can you help me a disabled senior currently on MLOA get a correct status?

Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/01/07) */ I have yet to get my things. With constant calls and emails I gotten excuses. The closest to a delivery date was a text message sent today. My things will be loaded next week from wherever they are being held. Delivery could be late next week or Monday or Tuesday of the next. This was all iffy. There was nothing concrete on the message. Consumer Response /* (4200, 17, 2022/02/17) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Expecting me to cover costs to confirm the location of my belongings is unacceptable. I want the sun the hired also held responsible. Expedite Authority Pros. This company has refused to work with Nationwide other than by text. Expedite sent my things to Riverside, CA. Now the cost has increased to upwards of $10k to hire another company. These companies had 30fays to deliver. Nationwide isn't offer any financial restitution and Expedite is under DOT sanction. If the business are responsible is there civil recourse with officers of one of both companies.

I hired this company for my move from Texas to Virginia. After much research, I decided to go with them as one of their representatives told me they were a A+ company even though this meant paying a little more. Once they arrived at my house, they began charging me extra for items I had already put down in the invoice. They told me these items were larger than expected. However, I was never given this information nor was I told I would be charged extra. I ended up paying at least $2000 more than I expected. I am highly disappointed in this company.

Nationwide moving company had me make a deposit and sign a contract giving me what I believe to be fraudulent information. They told me that they had all the paperwork to move out of any Manhattan apartment building but this was not the case and my building would not let them in. They refused refund
