      I bought a ******** home about a year ago from EcoSun Homes. Since February weve found ourselves in horrible circumstances and EcoSun has not cared. Last night, plumbing under the slab foundation leaked into the home and rendered our toilets and bathrooms unusable. We had to turn off all water in the home. We called and emailed the emergency services affiliated with them only to be told that they havent worked with them for over five years! The backup is a result of a break or bow in a pipe under the slab foundation. The construction manager and has been investigating the mold issue caused by seepage from the septic system since February. His supervisor and so many other experts have been looking, but nothing is being accomplished! While they have been pursuing the sub contractors insurance company to recover losses, our living situation has worsened and we can no longer safely live in the home. We have been repeatedly assured that EcoSun will do the utmost to help us, but that has simply not been the case. Plumbing, mold, and structural damage due to this issue have not been addressed in a timely manner. We have been subjected to all types of problems and health hazards including mold, bacteria, and airborne contamination. When I have asked EcoSun to escalate this matter as quickly as possible, they dragged their feet for six months. They never called in a leak Management Team to find the exact location of the break. So now we need the slab foundation to be addressed, and we need accommodations for my family of five, while this work is being done. We have been more than patient and accommodating. They have still not honored their promises to us. There are numerous violations of structural warranty and workmanship in our property. The number of problems we have encountered since buying this home is astronomical. We should not have to deal with all these issues in a new house! Its a wonder how they stay in business!

      I am rejecting this response because: EcoSun Homes, LLC has not resolved the problem in a reasonable and timely manner.  The main line of the sanitary system under the home has an incorrect pitch.  We have had numerous sewage back *** into the home since June 26, 2024.  We are not able to use the toilets and drains in the home without fear of a backup.  It is now the beginning of August and we are approaching a busy hurricane season. 

      We fully believe that the rainwater from these upcoming storms will saturate the drain field in our system and cause the same problem to keep happening.  We have had no help and very little communication.  The only help we have had are portable toilets.  Even those toilets have not been maintained weekly.  We have had to wash our clothes in public laundries and use public facilities when our bathrooms have not been functional.  We are paying a mortgage on this home, however, we cannot live here comfortably!  This situation is unbearable and has caused a lot of difficulty for my family.  Without a detailed timeline of how and when the repairs for this defect to be done, we are not satisfied with this response.

      We are asking for a written plan with a timeline and details of what repairs need to be done.  We would also like a written plan on how EcoSun Homes will accommodate our family during this process.  At this time, we have very little evidence to substantiate that EcoSun Homes is working to resolve the problems in the home.

      I've signed with EcoSun Homes a Termination Agreement which states EcoSun will refund my Deposit "EMD to be returned when home is sold/closed". The property address is ***** ******* *** **** ********** ** *****. The property was sold on 03/29/2024. I've contacted EcoSun Homes representative Kyle P****, who signed this agreement, via email and he keeps forwarding my emails to the other personnel who I've never worked with and they are ignoring my messages. After I got back to Kyle P**** via email several times he said "I will not respond further." It's been 2 month and I have no money from them. Please see attached TERMINATION AGREEMENT.       Hybrid water heater in New constructionhome is not properly working have made numerous calls to the Project Manager ***** to have it fixed, they sent Aqua Plumbing to look at it and did not repair the issue I still have the Hybrid Water Heater displaying an error code of ECC, I have not been able tomake contact with anyone from EcoSun Homes, and as of this date ***** no longer works there so I dont have any clue as to how to get this repaired since Ecosun only gave us a 2 yr warranty on specific items the warranty company stated that it they did not offer that coverage since it is under the manufacturer warranty, so how do i get this resolved.?

      I am rejecting this response. Youre the only company having issues with North Ports new permit changes. Ive spoken to several companies as well as *************** permitting department themselves and no one else is having the set backs you are. What I was told is the lot is not large enough for the septic and thats why it has been and will continue to be denied. We have 4 children and need this money desperately for living expenses. This house was suppose to be finished in April. As I can appreciate setbacks and construction delays this has been so damaging for our family. We have spend our entire savings on rent because of the ongoing issues with this company and its negligence and carelessness. If you care about your customers you would return the money and move on. True companies have more than an office employees sending bad news to families. I have continuously asked for a different contact throughout this entire process to get more information from someone who knows what theyre talking about yet have been denied that right.

We are awaiting the city of ********** to issue the building permit at this time. You were originally quoted ***** month permitting/build time and we are still well within this timeframe and expect to deliver the home by then. ***** was never given as a delivery date for the home completion.       Not sure where youre getting your information from but we were absolutely told April as our completion date in the beginning steps of this process. Is this not one of your office ladies who sent me this email??

      I was not given misinformation. Your septic permit has been denied twice. Theres clearly a reason. Ive spoke with several people and other companies who dont seem to be having the same problems your company is having. Any ethical business would return my money back to me being you have gave us the run around and lied too since signing documents. We were told permits were already submitted to the county before deciding on this home in this location. That was the only reason we signed with you over other companies. I had to constantly reach out for updates due to your office ladys lack of professionalism. Weve built a home before and were given updates weekly even if there was nothing to be updated on. Due to that I made phone calls myself to the city of north port building department in October and November to find no permits were ever submitted under the parcel number we were given. *** asked countless times to have contact to anyone else in Ecosun homes who actually has an idea of what their talking about. I was told ****** was the only one I could speak with with is also abnormal for any building company Ive worked or spoken with in the past. Nothing weve been told has added up. I have countless text messages and emails that contradict themselves. The fact that weve been under contract since August and the lot isnt even cleared says it all. We have been more than patient and understanding. Its a $1000 deposit. Really not sure why your company is fighting so hard over such a little amount of money if youre a legit and functional business. We have been put in a terrible position having to spend majority of our savings on an overpriced apartment so our family has somewhere to stay until we can buy a home. We are now unable to purchase a home within the next 2 years. $1000 is groceries for our family. If you are really ok with s******* over families like this you should be ashamed of yourselves.       EcoSun Home - ********************************* I placed a deposit on a new construction home in 1/2022. I continued to check on the progress of the lot but was patient because I know permits take time. When purchasing the salesperson assured me that the price would not change because this was factored in since build would take ***** months. 18 months later .....ground still was not broken AND they increased my purchase price and promised that it would be done by 12/2023. I refused to pay $50-60k more because this is no longer in my budget and the lack of communication was horrible. Cancellation was done 5/2023 and I am still waiting for a RESPONSE. Luckily, this was my personal purchase and not for a client because I would have been embarrassed. Needless to say, I have been reaching out numerous times and no one will answer my emails to resolve this issue. I was told by the office that refunds take up to 120 days and was given the accounting department email to follow up. Within reason .... I have waited.Horrible experience and I would NEVER recommend this company to any of my clients based on this experience. I saw the other negative reviews but I DID NOT listen because I am a realtor and I thought my transaction would be different. It was not and I can validate my claim and email interactions. I have since purchased another home in the same area. $50,000 less than their price increase.

A Check was NOT mailed on 2/5 as stated in the response.  Must be 3/5.  I will continue to wait.  As of 3/12 nothing has been received but I have waited this long. So 3-5 more days wont hurt.   If NOT received I will resubmit claim until satisfied.

      Me and my fiancee ***************************** visit EcoSun Homes in ************ Design Studio. My fiancee and I met with ************** on July 5, 2023.@ 1pm. **************** sold ** on purchasing our home from EcoSun Homes we chose the model, color and style. We deposited $6,000 via money orders. On August 17 we were denied due to me not residing in ******** area. Refunds forms was signed and returned. We were told it will take 90/120 to receive our deposit which we have not received to this very day.

      My husband and I went under contract for a home to be built with EcoSun's ******** office in December 2022. I was laid off in April 2023, so we had to cancel our purchase agreement on June 10, 2023. The agreement and termination paperwork clearly state that we'd receive all of our funds back except for $500. We are owed $5500. I've contacted the sales rep, EcoSun's offices, and I've had my realtor reach out multiple times. We were told we'd get our money back by the sales rep, and we were told by accounting via email that our funds were being "processed." That was months ago. We were told it could take upwards of 120 days to get our money back, but it has been 7 months. We would like our money returned immediately.

      Your contract clearly states that once you are conditionally approved to purchase, the ******* money deposit becomes non-refundable. This is standard practice through the homebuilding industry and general real estate as a whole. Your sales rep, processed a termination for you requesting that the deposit be returned to you due to losing your employment. As you have uploaded yourself, this termination was never executed and signed by our corporate office as the deposit is not eligible to be returned. However, due to the nature of the reason for your termination we are understanding and willing to come to an amicable resolution. Someone from our corporate offices will be reaching out shortly.

      October 2,2021 I made an attempt to purchase a home through Ecosun Homes. Initially, I was approved, but after the rising cos of supplies during Covid, I became ineligible to purchase ;didn’t qualify for new price. A termination agreement that was requested for me to sign after be found ineligible to purchase on 7/27/22 and signed by corporate office on 8/29/22. Then a revised termination agreement was sent and signed 8/31/22 and then by corporate office on 9/6/22. I contacted sales. Sales referred me to accounting.my file is again, I review and again I have to wait 120 days to receive monies. Finally 4/21/23 I contacted the accounting department and representative again and I was never contacted back. Sincerely, after refurbishing this home I purchased, since I didn’t qualify for the Ecosuns home, my wife and I intended to sell and purchase an Ecosun home after 3 years. I don’t see us doing that now and as a disabled veteran, this is been an extreme inconvenience and disservice. My family and I just want our money back. No trouble and no review writing concerning this but after speaking with the legal department with the Veteran Affairs and a contract lawyer I was directed to making my complaint here.       First I will say that I was residing in the country of Panama and, looking for some one to build a small home on my lot in Palm Bay. I ran across EcoSun add. August 14 2021 I call and spoke with Ted F****r(one of there sale persons). The home they had that I liked was listed at $252,000. Aug 16 he sent me an e-mail saying I needed a construction loan from there lender for them to build on my lot. I said no thanks. Aug 18 I get an e-mail from him stating he had a Calabria that came back and wanted to know if I wanted it because, the slab had already poured. He said the price was the same and I need to wire $1000.00. I felt if slab was already completed it would not take that long for completion so I wired the money. I was sent a contract to sign for $252,000 with $25,000 of it was for the land. On September 8 Ted says the blocks for the home and the roof trusses were on site. I have a lot of e-mail with discussions and Ted gave me a close date of 28 January. 12 days before close, Ted leave a message on my phone that the close date is now moved to 24 February. I asked what happen because, he keeps telling me that things were all ok. 16 days before February 24th I get an e-mail from the company saying they are going to send me a new contract to sign because, the home is now $34,000 more. I sent an e-mail back to the company asking for something to tell me why the increase They never I repeat never said a word. When I talk with Ted, He makes out that he has nothing to do with it but , when I found this BBB later i see this is not the first that Ted has been involved in this. When I tall to Ted about the money he keeps telling me to e-mail the company. I have sent e-mails to the three times and as always no reply. They know what they are doing by keep your money because, this is a small claim and will take time in court to get your money. They were to give me my money back in March of 2022 it is now June 2023 will nothing. By the way they sold that home for 290,000.

Two, the price will go up in time however, if you are building a home for me, you should be letting know of this before hand not just before closing of a $34,000.00 addition.  I am still looking for my deposit of $1000.00. I see where you have charge another account $34,000 for the same reason at the same time I was going on contract. So if you knew that at that time you should have change the price of the home then.
