I have received repeated texts from "******" about applying for a loan. I never contacted this company before.*********************:NO *****************:****, My name is ****** with Globelend. I can appreciate that. Here is what my experience has taught me. Often what is not needed today is useful tomorrow....Save my contact info as the products we offer are the best loans with reasonable terms and much easier to qualify. I wish you great success. what's the best email to forward contact info?

I received a text from Globelend on 6/9/23 at 12:15pm for a number I do not know asking for me by name. I have never heard of this company or given them my information and yet they knew exactly who I was. It is completely not okay for a company to be violating peoples privacy and consent in that way.Business response

Im receiving unsolicited texts from this company. Example:Tuesday 10:01 AM Hi, this is ****** from Globelend. Is this *****?Thursday 10:04 AM *****?Based on other complaints this is not an accident. If the company isnt directing the employees to make these unsolicited contacts they are refusing to rein in their behavior as their agents. To be clear I have never sought out this company for financing. On the contrary we have sold our business and when in business never contacted anyone other than our local bank about any financial issues. They are using my personal phone number which was never used for business dealings such as these so it is apparent they are using a purchased list hoping to find an idiot who will do business with them.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:Someone (or someone's computer program) working for Globelend has repeatedly texted me.
Globelend or their sales people are apparently using a 3rd party service/computer program to illegally spam texts for marketing.
A quick search on ****** will show this to be a widespread and ongoing abuse, not "an accident".
I have filed a complaint with the *** as well.

Two days in a row, I've received two unsolicited text messages from this company; both times using my first name to trick me into responding. This appears to be a common deceptive marketing tactic used by this company as evidenced by other reports on BBB. To be 100% absolutely clear, I have never done any business with this company, and I have never authorized them to contact me. I see in other BBB complaints, they use the same excuse in their reply to the complaints, to show that they are trying to address the issue. However, this approach is false. I have never dealt with this company, and they must be getting their marketing lists online. My number is on the do not call list, so their unsolicited contact breaks an *** regulation. I've already filed a complaint with the *** two days in a row, and will continue to do so for every day that they contact me, with a screen shot as evidence. The only resolution would be for this company to cease this type of deceptive cold-contact. If their reply to me below makes any claim that they some how have my info from a past interaction, I assure you it's a false claim.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: The companys response doesnt make any sense. The deceptive spam text came from a number affiliated with their business, and if you read other complaints for this business here on BBB, you will see that others have had the same deceptive experience of an automated spam text message using our first names to trick us into replying in the affirmative. Whats worse, I received another deceptive spam text from the same company the next day. See attached. They are likely not going to cease this behavior until the *** punishes them for violating privacy laws regarding deceptive and unsolicited spam text messages. My cell phone number is on the *** list. I have filed a second complaint with the ***, and provided screen shots and all pertinent info.

This company will not stop texting me at all hours of the day and after being asked to stop and told they have the wrong number. They have dozens of 561 numbers because every time I block a number I get a text again from a different number.Business response

1/10/23, I received a text from this company using my 1st name. I did not respond.1/11/23, I received a text from this company saying is this still the number for ****. I have never requested info for an small bus loan, yet I get them all the time... Possibly 5 per day. This new text tactic is inappropriate and scary. I always ask to be taken off the list, but they keep calling/texting. Something must be done to stop these intrusive texts.Business response
